3 Floridians in the top 32, no wonder my item didn't make it. You guys sucked up all the florida-karma. Actually I think it just means we're the biggest slackers in the country so we have the most time to work on D&D stuff.

I don't mind these gloves being a surprise but having the symbol of the god of strength on them would be cool.

As for the name, I thought they would allow you to fight in water or snow or other restrictive environments because there's an Adaptable Fighting feat out there somewhere that takes away the penalties to fighting in those types of settings.

I'm a fan of the one time "BOOM" items so I like the 1 round +6 thing the best. Other than that it's definitely less colorful than the others I've read so far.

Good luck in future rounds neighbor.

What else are we going to do when it's summer and humid all year round? ;)

Very nice item with a lot of price to utility. I can see a player who has the Gloves of Adaptive Combat rarely needing a Bull's Strength Buff by potion or spell so it will free up some spell slots and consumables over the long term. I wouldn't be surprised to see most swapping out the gloves with a pair of Gauntlets of Ogre Power. Good luck with your country looking forward to seeing it.

Am I counted in that 3? I saw to two from Sarasota.

I believe so. You, Joseph and I are representing America's swampland.

A fun versin of the same idea would give bonuses to all weapon attacks and damage in one round, say +2, +4 or +6. Then it could be cheaper (and thus of more use to lowe-level fighters), make more of a difference when it did kick in, and make sense for foppish dex-based fitghers who are more *likey* to want to wear it.

Granting a *+6* bonus to attacks and damage, even for just one round, would be FAR more expensive than these.

I'm not fond of Magic Item Compendium items, but I did kinda like this one. The one round power hits are only marginally dangerous.

Pricing:
3 charge, 12 hour, +2: equivalent to Gauntlets of Ogre Power * some reducing factor for not 24 hours = 4000 * X (my best estimate would be 3/4+)

2 charge, 1 minute, +4: Equivalent to a Bull strength once per day, 75% for similar ability (I'd drop that to 50% since identical essentially), with 1/3 duration of minimum caster level (so Y reducing factor), but swift action to use = 3*2*1800*75%/5 * Y * Swift = 1620*Y*Swift

1 charge, 1 round, +6: Hardest to price, closest would be something like a true strike once per day, 50% for similar ability, but swift to use =1*1*1800*50%/5 * Swift = 180*Swift

Total: 3000+ + 1620Y*Swift + 180*Swift

Can put your own value on the reduced duration of the two charge and the Swift action.

Personally I think 5000 instead of 4000 would be reasonable, despite my dislike for swift action items.
