Etienne nods his thanks to Talam. "Let's look for suitable material here with which to bind the goblin. But we must hurry. I fear that the goblins presence here is but the tip of the evil running about in this place."

"Agreed. Talacyst you said you some rope we could use right?" Talam looks back at the Warchanter, "loukak cakren geb. Dolkak geb regist noni".

Spoiler:
You're coming with us. It's best if you don't resist.

Smiling in approval at Fael the elven hunter picks the closest closed door and slowly and carefully opens it, curiously peering into the room beyond.

For Vraelyn

Spoiler:
You try to open the door but find it is locked. You hear something from the other side but not sure what it is through the door. Give me a listen check please

Liberty's Edge

The Warchanter sits there watching all of the happenings going on around her. She sits there calmly, she seems different than the other goblins you have incountered before. She says nothing, just sitting there waiting to see what's happening.

Female Elf Druid 2

Frowning at finding the door she selected locked Vraelyn carefully puts her ear to it, her expression one of utter concentration.

Listen (1d20+6=21)

Spoiler:
You hear voices approaching the door, you can't understand what is being said but you have heard it before from the creatures you just fought. The voices seem to be distant, like an echo almost.

Female Elf Druid 2

Fael & Blackleaf:

Spoiler:
Turning to face Fael and Blackleaf the elven woman speaks in a low whisper. "Locked door. Distant goblin voices, but approaching. I'd say this way may provide more clues" She informs them simply "But do we ask Talam to pick this or would you like to draw their attention to us by breaking it down?" She asks the elven barbarian with a small wry smile.

Male Human Cleric 1

Coppertop is relieved to find no sign of Ameiko. Looking up he sees that the war chanter is being taken care of so he turns and heads off in the direction of Fael, Vraelyn, and blackleaf. As he goes he looks at the dead and dismembered bodies of the citizens of Sand Point, some of whom he has known his whole life. “She will answer for her crimes,” he thinks grimly as he moves.

Talam Shaleif wrote:
"Agreed. Talacyst you said you some rope we could use right?"

Talacyst nods and begins fumbling in his pack. After a moment he straightens, his face reddening. "Err, I seem to have forgotten my rope somewhere... I could have sworn I had some with me..." He continues to look about his pack, partially to avoid eye contact.

Whoops, I coulda sworn I had grabbed some rope during generation... oh well. :P

Male Elf Ranger { Skirmisher} 1

"Grab the sneak thief or let me bash it though makes no mind to me. I will kill any goblins I find so I would rather not involve the Shael mystalaer olaer among us." under his breath " There just want to keep em as pets anyhow" Looking over to Vraelyn he says "your call"

In elvish

Spoiler:
weak stomached ones

Female Elf Druid 2

Stalking back to look through the doorway back to the glassworking room Vraelyn takes a moment to look over the carnage in the room and the men fussing over tying up the female goblin responsible before shaking her head a little. Returning to the locked door she looks at Blackleaf and Coppertop "I say we just knock it down and be done with it. Considering what these monsters have done to the workers I'd say time is of the essence"

Male Elf Ranger { Skirmisher} 1

Upon hearing the other elves words Blackleaf smiles a grim smile

"Finely" He grunts as he lunches his shoulder at the door

Spoiler:
str check20+3=23

yay me nat 20. and I was guessing the enlarge had worn off

Human Human Favored Soul 1

"Bash it." says Fael, "I'm with you guys on what to do with goblins."

"Friends, allow me to talk to the goblin."

Etienne talks to the goblin.

"I am Etienne. By what name, do we call you? Know that we seek your cooperation and we are prepared to reward you if your help prove indispensable to our mission. So what say you."

"Look, I may have scruples but there are those in this world who do not have them. So cooperate, understand?"

Female Elf Druid 2

With a smile Vraelyn moves to stand beside Fael to allow the stronger elf more room to try to force the door open. "Are you alright?" She asks the child as they wait, years of working and living at the academy coming to the fore.

Human Human Favored Soul 1

"I'm fine," Fael says, "There were a lot of dead bodies back there, but I'll cry for them later. I'm mad at goblins and stupid people. I hope Ameiko's okay. She's nice. She..."
She's obviously holding back one of her "tidal waves of babble", since she knows that now is not the time, but it's taking some effort.

Liberty's Edge

For Vraelyn, Coppertop, Fael and Blackleaf

Spoiler:
Blackleaf bashes in the door with no problem at all unlike before. Behind it 15 feet away you see a stairwell that leads down and just cresting the last step is a surprised goblin. The entryway and stairs are very narrow, swinging a weapon will be next to impossible.
roll init and attacks if that is the action you choose, remember only one person will be able to step into this area to take on the goblin!

Liberty's Edge

For Etienne, Talam and Talacyst

Spoiler:
The Warchanter just sits there as if expecting something, waiting. She is very calm not saying a word. Her eyes are on the south door as you all hear a crash from where your friends have gone.

"Let's bring the warchanter to the South Door."

Male Human Cleric 1

Initiative: (1d20 1=17)
Melee Long Spear: (1d20 3=18)

Given the opportunity Coppertop will step forward and attack the goblin.

Shadow Lodge

Male Human

With a sigh of both frustration and humility, Talam he begins making his way to the door, Warchanter in tow.

Spoiler:
Here we are the three of us tring to bind the Warchanter, yet none of us have rope, heh.
I keep the Warchanter in front of me as I walk, blades at the ready. In case she makes any hostile act or tries to cast; Attack: 1d20+0=17 and 1d20+0=15; Damage 1d4+1+1d6=6 and 1d4+1+1d6=6

Female Elf Druid 2

Vraelyn notches an arrow and moves to cover the two close combatants as they move in through the door.

Initiative (1d20+1=16)

Male Elf Ranger { Skirmisher} 1

Knowing there is little room for his ax. Blackleaf slings it across his back drawing his bow and fallows coppertop down the stairway.

Spoiler:
Init 20+2=22

Liberty's Edge

Talam, Etienne, Talacyst and the Warchanter go through the south door and see your friends crowded around another door leading out of this storage room. The warchanter has a smile on her face as she hears her own language coming from the beyond the door way.

Human Human Favored Soul 1

initiative (1d20 1=19)

As the rest of the group appears, Fael looks surprised to see the goblin, apparently unbound, with them... and smiling.
"We've got more coming," she says to Etienne and Talam, "You should take your pet and go, since you want her so bad. Even I know you can't watch her and fight with us at the same time."
To Vraelyn, she says, "I thought grown-ups were smarter than that."

Liberty's Edge

Combat Round 1

Init order:
Blackleaf
Fael
Goblin
Coppertop
Vraelyn

Blackleaf puts his axe away and pulls his bow off his back and readies an arrow. Fael sees the rest of the group enter the storage area and exchanges words with them. The goblin draws his dog slicer and attacks Coppertop who squeezes by Blackleaf to attack the goblin. The goblin lashes out but hits the wall before he even gets a chance to attack Coppertop not thinking about how small the area it is in. Coppertop seeing an opening makes his own attack, lunges forward with his spear killing the goblin with a surprised look on its face. Vraelyn stands ready to help but can't see past Blackleaf and Coppertop.

The goblins behind the now dead one scream at Coppertop and the next goblin in line steps forward to attack him.

End of round 1

Coppertop is on the top of the stairs leading down, its dark so you can't see how many are down there. The stairwell is very narrow, only room for one person at a time to decend or accend. Blackleaf might be able to get a shot off but its a 50/50 thing as its hard to see past Coppertop

Zoomackulas Eichendar wrote:

Talacyst notes the growing commotion from the other doorway. Not knowing exactly what he can do in the cramped situation, he draws his bow and covers the Warchanter, keeping a healthy ten feet away.

Initiative. (1d20+3=22)
In the event that the Warchanter tries anything and Talam doesn't get her, I'll make an attack.
Am I right in thinking that an Enlarge Person on anyone inside the corridor would be wasted?
And dang, most of us are going to end up sitting around if we can only fit one guy into the passage...

Male Human Cleric 1

Coppertop will move back out of the stairway; either a 5’ step or a move action. He won’t subject himself to an Attack of Opportunity. He attacks the next goblin to approach him.

Melee Long Spear: (1d20 3=8)
I guess I’ll skip the damage roll on this one.

Female Elf Druid 2

Vraelyn shifts, swinging her bow and aiming her arrow at the captured warchanter. A small frown furrows the elf's forehead as the temptation to just shoot the thing and be done with it becomes just a little too strong.

Liberty's Edge

Combat Round 2
Both Coppertop and the goblin trade misses as the narrow space hampers their attacks!

With Coppertop stepping back a bit Blackleaf and Vraelyn both have shots now if they'd like to take them.

Liberty's Edge

Talam, Etienne and Talacyst please make listen check roll!

Coppertop continues to back out of the stairwell while attacking whenever possible. He will be careful not to expose himself to an Attack of Opportunity.

Melee attack, Long Spear: (1d20 3=10)
Well, not that it matters, but here is the damage roll.
Melee damage, Long Spear: (1d8 3=10)

** spoiler omitted **

Blackleaf lets his arrow go and it flys true hitting the goblin in the head killing it instantly.

You can hear more goblins down the stairwell but you can't see them.

Liberty's Edge

NPC Etienne:
Draws his weapon and faces the door from the glassworking room ready for any nasties coming through the doorway. "Talam! Talacyst! Be ready we might have more goblin coming are way.....

Male Elf (Crying Leaf) Transmuter 1

Talacyst nods at Etienne's words. "Quite right - I've got something that might throw off a few of them..."

He takes a few steps towards the door (10 feet away) and, producing a few choice items from his pouches, prepares to send a wash of colorful energy at the first goblin to show it's nasty face.

Preparing Color Spray for the first goblin to go through the door. Since it's a 15' cone, this might mean another goblin right behind the first gets hit. Will DC 14.

Liberty's Edge

You see a bunch of goblins trying to rush the room, yelling and screaming goblin battle cries. They are coming through the door from the glassworking room. As they try to rush in they are hit by a vivid cone of clashing colors, the cone hits two of the goblins directly and blinds them. They falter in there attack rush and the goblins behind crash into the blinded ones making a big pile of them in the door way.

The goblins at the bottom of the stairs make another charge up the stairs at Coppertop and Blackleaf(From their angle that is all they can see).

Talam, Talacyst and Etienne roll for init. Anyone else who wants to jump into the fight also roll. Coppertop, Blackleaf, Fael and Vraelyn state your actions and roll for them please!

Male Elf Ranger { Skirmisher} 1

Blackleaf takes aim at the goblin coming up the stairs. He lets his arrow fly with his breath. Then in one fluid motion grabs his ax from his back with his arrow hand and drops his bow from the other. He then drops into a combat stance and awaits the goblins.

Spoiler:
My roll attack and damage20+3=23 and 4 damage ..woohoo a threat my confirm 12+3=15 if that hit it was 12 damage.

Male Halfling Rogue/3

Talam grips his weapons. He watches the Warchanter closely.

Male Human Cleric 1

Coppertop continues to back out of the stairwell while attacking whenever possible. He will be careful not to expose himself to an Attack of Opportunity.

Melee attack, Long Spear: (1d20 3=10)
Well, not that it matters, but here is the damage roll.
Melee damage, Long Spear: (1d8 3=10)

As he attacks he yells out his battle cries: "Sand Point!" and "Fear the tusk!"

Liberty's Edge

NPC Etienne-init roll (1d20+5=23)

Female Elf Druid 2

Vraelyn waits patiently, her arrow aimed down the stairwell, prepared to take a shot whenever she sees a good one.

Attack (1d20+1=7) (and she misses wildly if an opening does present itself, rats!)

Male Elf (Crying Leaf) Transmuter 1

Initiative. (1d20 3=6)
Talacyst allows himself a smile as his spell works according to plan. With a jolt, he suddenly realizes that he's at the front of the group, and hastily moves back to a safer distance, readying his longbow as he goes.

Woo hoo! Pulled that one off. Now I just hope I can get away before I get eaten...

I'm back.

Etienne moves to flank one of the goblins, his sword flashes in a downward arc.

Atk; Dmg (1d20+3=14, 1d8+2=5)

Have not added any flanking bonus, btw.

Liberty's Edge

Battle on the stairwell
As another goblin tries to charge up the stairs Blackleaf lets fly one of his deadly arrows and hits the charging goblin in the chest sending him flying back down the stairs with a loud thud as it hits the bottom not moving ending its life. Some how a second goblin who was also charging up the stairs avoids the falling creature and continues with its charge, it misses the attack attempt by Coppertop and makes its own attack on Blackleaf with its dogslicer but misses not able to stand up to the tall elf. Vraelyn shot in the dark down the stairs misses but brings many curses as it wizzes by the goblins at the bottom.
You hear from the bottom of the stairs a commanding voice speaking in goblin [goblin]You fools you are just running up to your deaths, hold them here while I go out to get more help and I am taking her with me.[goblin] You also hear a muffled noise that sounds like someone struggling and trying to speak.......

Liberty's Edge

Battle at the storage room doorway
Etienne attacks one of the blinded goblins killing it easily, the goblin not being able to defend itself. The other blinded goblin makes a wild swing at Etienne not even coming close to scoring a hit. Talacyst makes his way out of the front lines just in time as the other two goblins push past their blinded comrades to make attacks trying to free up the Warchanter. The Warchanter just stands there calmly waiting for freedom as Talam stands vigilant over her.

Liberty's Edge

Whats everyone's next actions please.
