Vraelyn has always lived in Sandpoint, even before it was a town. Left outside the caravan of a well respected member of the Varisian tribe that was settled there not long after her birth nothing is known of her parents, save a few details glimmered by the tribes Harrower as the tribe consulted the mystic over what to do with the baby.
The cards fell for the baby girl's history and told of an encounter with a physical force, of a great loss and of an external force doing something for another's betterment. Perhaps this child's people were in a time of great trouble and this elven girl was left with them for protection from it.
The telling for the baby's present went no better; telling the Varisians in all certainty that this child was having everything she held dear violently taken from her, but attacked from all sides she was finding her own path and strength.
The future was a little unclear however, the Harrower coming to believe the elf was too young for anything too clear just yet. What the mystic could assertain however was that at some point in the future the girl would see a lot of foolishness and greed, experience bribery, blackmail and naivety but would learn to fight against them to be reborn through all of her ordeals.
Sensing from the reading that the baby had potential for greatness she was adopted into the tribe and found family amongst the Varisians. This was a double-edged sword however, she had family but she was so different to them all, she watched them all grow old at an alarming rate as she stayed young. Then the settlers came.
Personally witnessing the Scarnetti attack on the camp and losing one of her closest childhood friends in the raid she has never forgiven the noble family for their acts that day.
Tension soon settled however and Sandpoint was formed, having lost a lot of the family she had growing up due to old age Vraelyn settled in the town, taking up residence in the Turandarok Academy as both a student (she still appeared to be quite young) and occasional teacher (she had learnt a lot in her years so far)
The Academy was a good experience for her, whilst she still suffered from watching those around her age and outgrow her she was slowly learning to accept her place as one of the folorn, elves in human society, doomed to connect only to be left behind eventually. Her heart wasn't entirely in teaching however and not long before she turned 100 she started looking for something more.
It was then she found Madame Mvashti, the old Varisian woman took the young elf for walks in the woods and taught her of the trees that were older than them both and of animals with longer lifespans. Feeling an almost mystical connection to the lands outside the town walls Vraelyn began her training with the Varisian, soon learning the druidic arts.
