I'm just wondering who was submitting queries for the Open Call.
I haven't seem some of the names that usually posted in the old Dungeon Black Hole and Critique My Query threads around the boards lately (Zherog, Great Green God, etc) and others (Logue, Pett, et al) are ineligible because they are already involved in Pathfinder and GameMastery.
So aside from myself, who else is entering?
*I've got my query "done"... it just needs editing down from ~1000 words to the 800 word limit. But I'm not going to submit it until the weekend, just in case I think of a better idea.

I probably could enter, and thought about it, but I'm already a freelancer who does regular work for Paizo and thought it would A) look bad and B) eat up an opportunity that would be of more benefit to someone else, if I did enter and actually got the job.
Plus, looking at the names here, I can see that I'd be going up against some tough competition...
So, I decided not to enter. Best of luck to you folks! I'm already eager to read the winning adventure when the time comes. :)

We have a secret club house where we sit around all day hang out and talk about girls. As the winner of the last such Paizo contest I'm feeling pretty game for this one.
And guys -and you know who you are- may the best cabbage submission win.

EDIT: Wrong guy! Whoops! For some reason I'm always confusing G-cubed with Steve Greer. I think it's because Steve looks like GGG's avatar.

I would really like to send in something, but right now it's crunch time at my university, and I'm not sure if I'll have enough time. Maybe if they do another one of these sometime in the future I'll give it a go. It would at the very least give me an adventure idea that I can use with my gaming group!
Though with Savage Tide, Pathfinder, and the Gamemastery Modules, I don't know when I'll get some of my own stuff in...

I went skydiving for the first time yesterday, and decided that if I survive I'm going to get something published. Today I jump on the paizo website and spot the open call.
It Is A Sign! Hehehe.

I've submitted mine, and am hoping for the best. Even if my adventure doesn't get picked, I'm still running the damn thing. The open call sparked my imagination big time, so even if it doesn't get picked, I have to thank Paizo for that.
Same here. It was a very good exercise, and now the story that I came up with won't die until its played.

I have to give an acknowledgment to Wes Schneider for my posting in the Open Call; By GenCon, with the close of Dungeon and Dragon, I assumed I'd never had a chance to write for Paizo and didn't even consider going to their seminar on Sunday.
Thankfully, Wes talked me into checking it out, which got me & my fiancee excited about submitting monsters for the ecology and doing anything we could to be involved. So thank you, Wes, for getting me back on track.
Even if I don't get in the Top Ten, it was a blast doing any sort of adventure writing again (I'm putting in 35 hrs as an intern at a local high school and then have 12 hrs of classes for my Masters program each week, plus homework and putting improvements and repairs on PhysChic's and my new house :D. Needless to say, we don't game very much right now, and she's running us through Hollow's Last Hope and Crown of the Kobold King).
Good luck to everyone, and I hope to eventually hear (or even share) the great ideas that were offered that didn't quite make the cut.

That's my problem too: hectic time in my life, with the possibility of a lot of big changes (such as moving and getting a new job). I did write up a draft submission, but I don't have time to refine it. Even if I did, I don't think I'd have time to actually write/submit anything else if I was successful. And judging from what Mike said (below) I decided that I'll sit this one out. Hopefully when they do the next one, things won't be so crazy around here.
Talion09 wrote:When is this slated to be published if the completed manuscript has to be in by Jan 1st 2008?May 2008, I think.
Yes, it's a very aggressive schedule.
Don't enter if you can't write that many words by the deadline.
If you win but you're late with your final submission, expect to never work for us again.
So don't be late. ;D

550 tightly written words and Im in. Thanks for the chance at greatness, guys!!!
Hey Triple G, you got any cool or intriguing titles?....
...oh. Wait.
nevermind.
It looked like it was going thru noon tomorrow, but I sent it in before midnight, their time, just in case that was a typo. Ending at noon? Cool, my kind of schedule.
