Being 37 years old, employed, married, with two kids living a relatively sane middle-class existence and yet still having those occasional experiences that bear an uncanny resemblance to those days of being the fat kid picked last in gym class.
Grrr.
I said I was sorry for taking your lunch money!

I sat and watched a bunch of my friends graduate without me not 10 minutes ago. I didn't feel as bad as some people said I would, but it still sucked to know I'd barely see them again.
I know the feeling. I'm leaving SCAD, probably for good, on Thursday. Even though living in Savannah hasn't exactly been the best of experiences, there are a good number of people I'm going to miss like hell.

The only reason why you are going to miss me is beacuse I broke the scope on your sniper rifle. Now I just might have a chance. ~runs and tries to finds a hiding place~

Well, I have to say, that's the best bad joke I've heard in a while. I'm going to have to use that one sometime.

~bows~ Thank you! Thank you! I will be here until Saturday. No autographs please.

not having a significant other; yeah that sucks; me I am just massively confused; I have a semi significant other. What that means is that we broke up; she is dating other people; meaning one time meet you dates; me I have dated a few people; oh high; your nice or not nice; one time dates; yet she and I still hang out together; sleep over and all that goes with that. Granted I have some issues; but hey; dont we all that is what therapy is for; so; its like we are a couple but not; wierd. So; when I date a girl so far it just a meet; but if one likes me back; then what; my old girl friend says she hasnt decided if she is taking me back; still dating; but says I am the only one she kisses and ahem; stuff; and she is for me too; but I am totally into her even with her issues. My being a single dad really sticks in the craw of almost every woman.
So; not having a sig other sucks; but there is lots of suck to go around; my situation is really confusing and it sucks. I am just not wired for this sort of thing; seriously into each other 3 or 4 days a week, but maybe date other people the other times.
I should probably make some decisions about this; but I truly love her; but I am not gonna sit home crazy lonely when so many girls want to date me; some I like; some not so much.
well; good thing we all have this thread to vent; just writting it down and how supportive all you guys are is really helpful.
it sucks that I spend three days and nights with a girl that is all totally loving then a day off then she is going out with someone else on two other days of the week, i know its just a meet and greet; but hey; guess I might too; it just feels wierd.
Basically ;I can wait and put up with it or choose to cut it off completely; but since I am unwilling to do either; just yuck
------------
on another note; I had a roomate whose dog ate his couch once; man that couch was in splinters; fluff everywhere; wow; sucked but it was kinda funny.

My body has been systematically disassembling itself. Joint pain, shakes, insomnia, the works. I'm twenty-three, but I feel like I'm sixty.
Gimme an hour or two. I know you aren't crazy about meds, but I might be able to find something to combat the shakes. In terms of insomnia, there are a few routes you could go sans medication. I've heard good things about certain forms of hot yoga, but that might be hard to do in the summer. Meditation is an old standby, but you'd have to find a master(yes, a master[my term only, possibly a doctor in the field of alternative medications], not merely someone who knows what they are doing) with experience in this sort of thing. Joint pain is weird because it has a lot of causes; you'd be better talking to a certified doc than crazy old me on that.

How much sleep deprivation are we talking about here? Because that can cause the other symptoms. So can fever. If you're getting little, but still enough sleep, and no fever you probably need to go to the doctor. Whether or not they can find anything wrong with you is a bit of a crapshoot, but ruling out things that it can't be is still useful. Or at least that's what I keep telling myself.
I know this has to be incredibly frustrating for you. I'm so sorry that you're going through that.
(hugs)

Bank overdraft fees due to me f-ing up. ~sighs~ Life sucks overall, despite the shining good moments that occur. ~goes off to bang my head against the wall again~
I've rode on that particular money train before man, and it sucks. Sorry to hear about that. When it comes to overdraft fees, fight, fight, and then fight some more. Even if you are wrong. Even if one fee is overturned(or if you can show that things happened out of sequence in your account), it'll be all to the better.

+1 to that! I still have my Dad's ashes in a safe place. ~thinks~ Ask yourself this question.
What place did your Dad love the most? Then scatter his ashes there.

We scattered Mom's ashes near the Continental Divide here in Colorado.

I just got may dads ashes in the mail 3 days after is funurl and I still don't know what to do with them. Right now my black Dragon Mini is guarding him.
i am unsure what happened to my fathers ashes. My sister had them and since his remains were used for experiments as per his wishes, they are encased in a solid block of plastic and can not be spread.

My house has grown another bathroom. Normally that would not suck but this phantom bathroom only exists in the mind of a home appraiser that the town used to reasses the property. Now I have to spend two hours next Saturday waiting for the assessor to show up and see that the bonus bathroom is just wishful thinking on his part.
I wonder if it is better to just go along with the original misconception rather than let the assessor see all the work we did inside the house. Either way I expect my property taxes to go up considerably.

I just found out that one of my good friends from high school overdosed on heroin in a parking lot in Albany, New York. He was found by the police, and rushed to the hospital. He's going to make it, but once he recovers and goes through treatment, he's going to be in prison for a very long time. I hadn't seen him in almost a year, but the last time we talked, he seemed to be doing alright and getting his life on track. Now, I'm probably never going to see him again. Great.

I am sorry to hear that, my friend. OTOH, when you are in prison, a friend can be a life saver. Try to keep in touch with him. Even a once or twice a year visit can make a difference. Good luck to the both of you.

After 3 long and loving years, and a beautiful baby girl, my fiancée told me that she didn't love me any more, then told me that she missed me, got back with her, she fell pregnant again, and now I am, once again, unfortunately, single once again...love sucks

Sorry man. You're in my prayers.

Sorry to hear that, Mr. Shiny. I hope this is the event that gets him to turn his life around for good.
I will also echo what Sharoth has said. Let him know he has people on the outside who still support him.

I have been in your shoes. I am very sorry for this. My best advice is when she comes back, and she most likely will, just say no. It hurts less in the long run.

Not only am I stuck in the hotel lobby for an indefinite amount of time, but the support people from GoDaddy.com finally got back to me after a goddamn month. I've been trying to get them to take down the giant banner ad that I paid them eighty bucks NOT to put up on my website, and all they do is send me e-mails telling me to buy something else, without actually telling me how to do even that. F~%~ them.

What really sucks in life is that my best friend and husband of 16 and a half years, the commenter known as Spellcrafter, died june 16th of a lung cancer he didn't have 4 months ago.
He really enjoyed his time reading the Paizo boards and I thought you all may want to know that he hadn't just disappeared of his own free will.
