Vishantos |
"New Winch? Oh right. Hmmm... I have some ideas. Are you an engineer of some sort? I can design the thing, but I'm not much with tools. I'll draw something up and bring you the plans if you'd like."
Vishantos goes to the inn and finds a table. He orders a drink which he promptly forgets as he draws up plans for a new ferry system with a winch driven by a waterwheel. He occasionaly mutters things like "... if I add a second wheel under the ferry itself, that could power a mechanism that pulls the ferry along the cable while the cable is moving, doubling the speed..."
Eventually he flips the parchment over and starts drawing a design for a paddlewheel boat driven by a windmill.

Geddoe |
Sect wrote:Awesome... getting our characters in one spot to interact is like herding cats... who are armed with knives and swords.Ha. Seriously, but at least they have 'met'. Besides you and the wizard are likely at the same inn. And if the dwarf needs a place to stay, well there you go.
Of course, like an idiot, I FINALLY realize that there was a map of the place the entire time. Jeez...
So, is the inn Jak'a'napes or the Rouge Lady? I had thought the RL, but it sounds more like a place of ill repute...
Geddoe stepped out of the improvised changing room one of the salesmen at the Low Market, a clothier, had rigged, plucking at the simple white shirt and tough brown breeches, suitable for heavy travel. "It'll do fine," he told the salesman, paying him a surprisingly reasonable price for the outfit.
Tucking his studded leather armor into his pack, he glanced up at the sun. 'Looks like it's time for food,' he thought. Hefting the pack over his shoulder, he began walking back towards the inn, to get some food ('Soup a'la Burglar' he thought wryly) and gather some information.
Nerek Lodetracker |
Nerek finishes his prayers, then asks some of the local priests about the plague he's been overhearing the worshipers speak about. He listens carefully, with growing realization of why he was directed to the town.
He inquires as to what has been done to help the sick and then asks about places to stay. After receiving directions to Jak'a'napes, he takes his leave and walks through the town, to the inn.
Along the way he pays closer attention to the plight of the people, noticing for the first time just how trying depressing the town is. He arrives at the inn, takes a seat near the bar, and orders a beer and a bowl of stew.

One prestidigitation removed from current spells.
And Dragonmann, I do hope you don't take my (and The Jade's) word silliness as anything more than the two of us being foolish. (That's right Jade, foolish!)
This is fun!
Since I am not sure I even know what you are talking about...
all's fair in posts and blogs

Ditto.
BTW, as I understand it, the feats that are to be presented in the Pathfinder Player's Guide aren't Varisa Regional feats. Now, I know we don't know what they are, but is it possible we'll be able to use them in this game, if applicable?
I will say probably. for now

Now that the Player's Guide is out (hoody hoo!), can we make alterations to our characters?
All I really want to do is replace Nimble Fingers with Lone Wolf, and use Varisian as my last bonus language (I figure that, being a semi-nomadic burglar, he would learn the gypsy tongue. He doesn't have enough of a cultural identity to get one of the three languages as an automatic language)

You'll have to let me know what lone wolf does...

Not that it matters in the slightest, but remember Falcon's Hollow is nowhere near Varisia.

Of course. However, Geddoe's from Varisia, so... uh, yeah.
Hey, Dragon? Changed my mind about the feat. Basically, in game effects were 50% on stablization and +1 Fort saves.

Fine with me.
Sorry I posted out of order earlier. I was leaving and it looked like things were rolling, so I wanted my action to be ready so I wouldn't hold things up. Next time I'll post it in a spoiler.
BTW, I will be at Gen Con, and I probably won't be online for almost a week, starting on Tuesday.

I was thinking...
In case this happens while I am at Gen Con, Vishantos would like to rescue the fox, if possible. I thought it would be cool if I can bind it as my familiar. I don't know what you think of this, Dragonmann, but I've never gained a familiar in play in all my years of gaming, and I just think it would be cool. I know it's not a standard familiar, and I don't know how it compares to the others, but I'm interested in this solely (sp?) for the roleplay value.

Deffinetly a cool idea, and one I will work with.

I live in Indy and I just picked up my badge and will be there all 4 days. (Woo!)
Laurent is on plan "don't get killed", fight defensively and more dazes to be used, and some hiding. I will post as I have the chance.
If anyone wants something from gencon...
How much is the badge? Where did you pick it up?

That's all right; my little bro's going in my place, since I can't go. But it's okay, cause I have my own con I'm going to.
It's called "Not GenCon Con".
... I'm so alone... ;_;

Hopefully you figured this out.... if not, one day badge is 45 bucks, 4 days (2 of which are gone) is 75. Picked up at the convention center by the rca dome in downtown Indianapolis.
I would have reponded sooner, but I've been downtown for a couple of 18h days. ;)Sect RPG Superstar 2011 Top 32 |

Yeah, unfortunately we lost another manager at work, so I have been working doubles since Wednesday.
