Goooo Brummies!

Is this the reason for your board-name, by any chance?

And I sure hope it won't be that long until Liverpool wins something again...

I am indeed proud to declare my alliegance by my choice of screen name :-) My sister took me to St Andrews when I was six, and I've been a supporter ever since.

Liverpool will be back winning things soon. They're still in with a shot in the Europa League this year. I hope we can go as far next season.

Despite lack of all things roleplaying besides MMOs at the moment, my second daughter was born in January, and I, without any professional training, delivered her in an emergency. The mother, who is also the mother of my first daughter, kicked me out last year, but we are now back together and happier than ever, other than that, Employment, full time and cookies, heaps of cookies!

Got my collector's edition of "RIFTS" coming in tomorrow. Get to Play a Necromancer, Warlock and Elementalist all at once. Awwwwwwww yeah. (know it's probably not gonna work but eh!)

The 'tradesman' I've been working beside for the past year and a half has finally, and officially, been debunked as a fraud, in a win for Karma, by his partner, and has walked out of the store in a huff...leaving me with two weeks worth of jobs he's been sitting on to make himself look busy every time the boss walks past. rtoltyredsrtuiort5e4rioirt54er5y67irt54sxertoll;jkbtfgdhjkolkdc0po9i8y6r5fw 3

My cats have apparently forgiven me for giving them the Dutch Oven treatment on the weekend after they had decided to use me as a speed-bump in a game of mid-night tag. Nothing wakes you up faster than five cats running across your middle-section at 2 in the morning. Especially when three of these cats weigh close to 6 kilos a piece!

My blood test came back clear. No diseases from that druggie shoplifter who bit me on the arm. Wooo!

Agreed. That is just wonderful. Thank your lucky stars you can be there for both your lady and those precious children, and that they can be there for you. *gamer-hugs*

Silver Crusade

I am going to be a dad again in October! :D

This morning I came home from a wedding.

My uncle got married again. He's officially no longer a widower. There was good food and free booze and cake and my brother getting in a fight with the man of honor and everything, it was great! Even the fight, it was hilarious watching my idiot brother getting thrown to the floor by a marine (and then they drank some more, I think it was some sort of male bonding thing).

Spoiler - it is. It's a special kind of 'special' we on the Y chromosome end have to work with and through.

Anyway, congrats!

I made it through yesterday!!!

Sovereign Court

Got admitted into an LLM (Master of Law) program today.

Hooray for Robert!

I signed my new employment contract on Monday, and I will be part of the monument protection service of the beautiful city of Dresden, starting this fall or perhaps summer. This includes moving, of course, but still, it is an improvement for me. Besides, the city is just great. Now only my wife has to find a new job there as well.

If things look up any more, it's neck will hurt...I just got an email from a friend saying that his company want me to audition for a voice acting job!!!

On Thursday, we got chosen to adopt our new kids. Jay (2), Brandy (3), and Arianna (5). After 18 months of waiting, things are finally moving quickly.

As an adopted child myself, I salute you. Kudos for opening your heart to these little ones.

*hugs* Congratulations, mate, and good luck.

Good news .... finally heard from Hiro, a friend of mine in Japan. He was on the other side of the county, somewhere around a town called 'Fukui' (did I spell that right?) on business when the Big One hit.

Good to hear your friend is alright. No word from my friend's host family as of yet.

My youngest son turns 21 in 2 days. A group gift for him?

Batman, Dark Knight movie poster autographed by the cast and director of the movie, including the late Heath Ledger.

He's going to pee himself. ;)

80-year-old Japanese woman and grandson rescued from rubble.

Nine days!

This is a good thing.

Some good new. Angela came out of her coma and is talking. I have no idea how coherent she is, but she might make it through this. If not, at least she will have a chance to make peace with my ex-, her kids, and her brothers.

After more than seven years (with two small breaks) of being on either the 4 pm to midnight or the 1 pm to 9 pm shift, I finally get to go back to the 8 am to 5 pm shift. I will miss the extra 10% for being on the later shift, but I will survive. I might also be able to get on the 7 am to 4 pm shift if a coworker does not want that shift.

Stick with it. Took me three attempts! At least you realised the 'lead to a job' a whole degree ahead of me :)

Haha, thanks! Though I'm not too far behind, I got a dual-Bachelors of Art degree the first time.

I applied for a job, they called and the manager wants me to interview for a position I wouldn't have applied for. It's great that someone who doesn't know me thinks that I can do something I don't think I can do. Now just to nail the interview, and believe that I can do the job.

Good luck with it. Definitely take it as a confidence boost and believe that you can do it.

Definitely good luck! Sometimes you'll find out you can do things you didn't think you could. Don't sell yourself short!
