I'm running an Eberron campaign, but you'd never know it from our line up
Daneth - Aventi duskblade - wields a bastard sword. Closest thing we have to a frontline fighter, and our only arcanist.
Alasdair... the Amazing - Human rogue/swashbuckler. Plans on taking the Daring Outlaw feat from Complete Scoundrel as soon as he qualifies. There after he will probably focus on Swashbuckler.
Xyrx - Alcoholic drow scout. The Last War left him a bit of a broken man. He has to drink to function normally, and he doesn't seem to be quite right in the head.
As yet unnamed half-elf cleric. I helped this player get her (very first) character together tonight. She took the War and Good domains, and she's using the Spontaneous Domain Casting option from PH2 on her War domain. She should end up a fairly formidable warrior in her own right.
Meridia - halfling Healer (NPC). I am playing the party healer. I nerfed her as much as possible - she's totally worthless in a fight. Between always fighting defensively and a complete unwillingness to deal lethal damage, she really is nothing but a walking box of band-aids with an effective -10 to hit.
I'm curious to see what happens to this group. The lack of a focused arcanist is worrisome, but it's a resourceful group. I'm sure they will think of something. We finish up a starter quest and (hopefully) get into There is no Honor on Tuesday.

Here is my group. We play in the FR and we've just began The Sea Wywern's Wake.
Luinil, CN Female aquatic half-elf ranger 1/cleric 3 (Shaundakul)
Vranae, CG Male human barbarian 2/fighter 3
Keridan, CN Male human druid 4 (UA druidic avenger variant)
Artizio, N Male half-elf rogue 2/bard 2/cleric 1 (Oghma)
Aldym, CN Male human sorcerer 5
They've performed quite well up to now (only 3 PC dead :)), heavy uses of wand of healing make up for the lack of straight cleric

![]() |

We just finished Lightless Depths, our party now consists of:
Male Human Bard/Sublime Chord
Female Human Duskblade (original party member)
Female Human Rogue/Shadowblade (original party member)
Male Half-Giant Soulknife/Soulbow/War Mind
Male Shadar-kai Rogue
All of us are equivalent level 12 and very much enjoying this adventure path!

uzagi |

Rather largish party atm, playing in Forgotten Realms
Tarkis , Half-elf Werebaboon ranger (don't ask ) 1st,
he used the template from the "Cauldron" adventure...
Charelle, female Elf Rogue 2, seems to be able to change elf-subtype, no explanation for that yet
Simon, Halfling Wizard 2nd, will allegedly branch out into Arcane Trickster, bothersome parrot familliar
Ezekiel Human Warmage 2nd, definitely on the destructive side with a strong theme of sexual frustration (don't ask, once more)
Human Cleric of Tymora, 2nd
Snowdon, River Spiritfolk, Warblade/bard 1st/1st, has the "Swift" Trait from UA and excessively welll-rolled stats

Christopher Adams |

Barring any unexpected last-minute changes on Wednesday night at the character creation session, this is the line-up for my Eberron Savage Tide campaign:
- Spoiler:Human artificer, an unmarked member of House Cannith who decided to leave her life behind and move to Sasserine when her family died in Cyre on the Day of MourningChangeling pretending to be a
- Human fighter, an unmarked member of House Orien whose lack of a dragonmark or any magical talent shut him out of his parents' particular line of work, and decided to become a mercenary
- Human sorcerer, a dragonmarked member of House Orien, younger brother of the Orien fighter, who has abandoned his parents' business despite being their favoured son and designated heir to follow in his brother's footsteps
- Warforged rogue, disturbingly well-educated and erudite, a servant of the Orien family which produced the above PCs who has been sent to keep an eye on the younger son until his lust for adventure fades
- Human wizard, using the variant anagakok class from a relatively recent Class Acts article in Dragon, an apprentice shaman and last survivor of a primitive tribe
- Gnome druid, a former slave in the estate of one of the nastier families of Sasserine who was freed by do-gooders before the campaign begins and who is now looking for a way to protect himself from his former masters
The deal with the Orien PCs is that their family was not dragonmarked, but the father was a fairly talented sorcerer (albeit never high level), so he started an internal business providing magical services for other members of House Orien.
The fact that their first son evinced no magical talent was a disappointment, so they were delighted when their second son proved to be an even more talented sorcerer than his father - and they were positively ecstatic when he developed a dragonmark, because of the prestige he would bring to their immediate family.
The eldest son felt shut out and forgotten by his parents, so he drifted into the life of a mercenary and away from his family before he started to resent his younger brother. Of course, his brother became enchanted with the excitement of such a life and abandoned his responsibilities to the family - responsibilities they had never really prepared him to take on, favouring him as they had.

YeuxAndI |

An update on the party, as there's been a bit of revison to the memeber.
Waldengast, N half elf ranger who's working on the dread pirate prestige class
Queequq, LN pygmy halfling druid/beastmaster that is also the ship's cool and resident cannibal.
Milo Xiloscient, N high elven bard/wizard who's trying to find the ultimate connection between music, math, and magic.
Cambriella Pearl, CN fey kissed aventi cleric of Olidammara who just discovered the connection between Olidammara and the Olman pantheon.
Johan the First, CN elven hexblade/fighter with really fancy armor.

webtroll |

So the current group running through the adventure includes:
A half-orc barbarian with the berserker strength replacement (although he thinks he is a paladin)...
A human monk with the vow of poverty feat (from Book of Exalted Deeds)...
A midget human wizard with a lemur familiar (same thing as lizard from PHb)...
An elven rogue who is practicing to be a jeweler...
A dwarven cleric who is practicing to be a war priest...
A human ranger who is taking the archery path...
The problem? The half-orc has monkey grip and has a sword that does 3d6 damage... his damage potential is off the charts for the game, which means I have had to scale up the encounters. Anyone else finding this kind of problem?

infomatic |
I really doubt that Monkey Grip will be much of a problem, balance-wise. It's a very poor feat mechanically (Power Attack gives much better damage-to-attack-penalty ratios). In a few levels he'll never use it anymore if he's got any math skills at all.
If the sword and its 3.5 extra points of average damage are really causing you that much grief, just sunder the thing or drop it in the ocean.

Hierophantasm |

We begin the Savage Tide on April 6th, and I'm already proud that they all are willing to skip the premiere night of Grindhouse for my game!
On that note, our five person party consists of:
Zatara--human male warlock: His past shrouded in mystery, even to himself, this victim of amnesia strode out of the ocean, and was taken in as a lover of Rowyn Kellani, after becoming bored with her previous one. Escaping an ultimatum from her, he's got a hot tip to meet up with a batch of adventurers at the Vanderboren Estate. Appears in the rough 'n' dirty, dreadlocks-esque pirate sort, cutlass and all.
Tok--half-orc male crusader (Tome of Battle): Something of an idiot savant, Tok was left as an orphan at the Sunrise District's Church of Pelor. A priest named Father Gelben took him under his wing, and named him Oren. Teased in his upbringing, he commited his studies to dedicated prayer to Pelor. With great strength, he developed martial prowess early in life. The church has also "adopted" another half-orc "sister" of his. He came recommended to Lavinia by the church, as he is at the age to forge his way.
We also have three other players--more mechanically oriented--who did not supply me with a back story, so much as their character concepts. They are:
human male fighter: specializes in knives/knife throwing
human male artificer: crafting junkie
(human? male?) druid: pursuing Master of Many Forms prestige class
Looking forward the the chaos come friday!

Orcmonk89 |
Well, a new party has been designed (thisd time by my Real Life gaming group. So far, we have:
Male True Neutral Variant Ranger (going Master of Many Forms)
Male ? Neutral Rogue (going Straight rogue)
Male Lawful Neutral Shield Dwarf Cleric of Dumathior (going Church Inquisitor then Contemplative)
Female Chaotic Neutral Half-Orc Cleric of Garagos (going Fighter then Warpriest)

Aureus |

Update:
The Sea Wyvern is on its way to Renkrue. After a terrible battle at Atikula River the ship is in dire need for new heroes, as the two remainig are only shadows of their former thelves. Bloodtooth has lost his mind and attacked Captain Yserion (Bri) so he put him in shackles down in the hold. But the Captain himself is paranoid and usually doesn't leave his cabin for the most part of the trip.
Astrena Ghastor (NG female human cleric 5/Exorcist of the Silver Flame 2); the PRC is modified to provide full spell progression having the cleric BAB and poor fortitude saves.
Block (LG male personality warforged paladin 7); using the substitution levels from Races of Eberron and some from Dragon #349, he is aiming for Knight of the Chalice.
Bloodtooth (N male saurial shifter ranger 2/warblade 4); rebuilt from pure ranger and aiming for Bloodclaw Master.
Bri (N male changeling beguiler 6); slowly shifts to evil and becomes a tool of Malcanthet.
Tallian Del Nezzelech (NG male wavecrest gnome artificer 5); the cohort of Astrena and played as a DMPC.
? (N female human necromancer 7); not named yet and aiming for archmage.

Agamon the Dark |

Our group just started on Saturday. I don't recall all the names after one session, but we have:
Human Favored Soul of Osprem from Azure District
Darfellan Barbarian from Azure District
Human Rogue from Merchant's District
Human Monk from Champion's District
Halfling Sorcerer from Noble's District
Update: We're in the midst of The Sea Wyvern's Wake. The party now consists of:
Thiek (Human Favored Soul of Osprem)
Akilu (Darfallen Barbarian)
Zuko (Human Monk/Warlock)
Tinka (Halfling Sorcerer)
'Moose' (Halfling Fighter)
Jenks (NPC Human Rogue)

isetfires |

So it begins...
- CG Mongrel Folk Ranger 5/Leviathan Hunter 5/Totemic Demon Slayer 10
- NG Human Cleric 5/Combat Medic 5/ Radiant Servant (Pelor) 10
- NG Gnome Illusionist 3/Master Specialist 5/ Shadow Craft Mage 5/IOT7FV 7
- CG Changeling Rogue 3/ Fighter 2/ Thief Acrobat 5/ Pious Templar 3/ Nightsong Enforcer 7
A well rounded group. More or less the 4 basic food groups.

My gaming group started the STAP last weekend. I am setting the campaign in Mystara around the year AC 990. The time line may change but it dosnt really seem important.
I restricted the players to races and classes from the PHB at 1st level though I will allow them to use other sources as they advance.
NG Human (Traldar) Ranger who worships Ordana. This character will likely take rogue levels aswell and specialize in ranged combat. Grew up in a fishing village and has some boat building experience. Has been working as a sailor up until the STAP start.
LN Human (Thyatian) Cleric of Tarastia. An over weight drunk of a man who was sent to Sasserine by his superiors to help bolster the order there. Suffers from cronic sea sickness.
LG Human (Thyatian) Paladin of Tarastia. As with the Cleric he has been sent to Sasserine to help bolster the order there. Has the skill Seige Egineer.
LG Human (Ierendi) Wizard. This character had the most absolutly ridiculously lucky rolls I have ever seen in my 20 years gaming experience when he was created resolting in 2x18's, 2x16's, a 14 and 13. (4d6-lowest score). He is a graduate of the Ierendi Naval Academy.

Started last week too (finally!) - we're in the Realms
Tin-A-Tin Female Halfling Spellthief from Sasserine.
Bohairic Male Human Wizard - from Mulhorand, with the Godsight feat, which will be fun when he finds out which god it's really from. Clue - she doesn't like Demogorgon ;)
Templeton: Male Water Genasi Barbarian - from the Dalelands via Yuan-Ti slavers
Hope: Male Human Barbarian - from the neighbourhood of Sasserine
Sheler Femae Halfling Druid of Shaundakul, with Vow of Poverty
Plenty of fight, and no cleric. Interesting to see how long they survive!

- Xianta, human sorceress, blessed (or cursed) with glimpses of what her home island calls the Prophecy
- Egric, human cleric (perhaps of Osprem?), charged to guard Xianta and the Prophecy, whatever the cost
With Tholnak's death, the party has now gained Gareth Garethson, a human fighter who escaped from a pirate ship during the chaos in Kraken's Cove. He specializes in the spiked chain.
(Xianta is now debating between aiming for sorceress/archmage, or sorceress/fighter/eldritch knight/archmage; Egric is aiming for cleric/wizard/mystic theurge.)
With Egric's death, the party has now gained Ordo Umongus, a gnome monk with a wispy beard down to his pot belly. He may be working for Zebula Meravanchi, to really make sure his investment is going well. (He expects nothing from Avner, of course, but it's a good excuse to get rid of him.)

Astute1 |

We've got:
Tizok of Tetlahuehuequititzin (yes, that's a real city name!) - Olman Barbarian/Dragon Shaman
Jake Finnegan - Human Monk/Sorcerer
Monterey Jack Babcock - Human Warblade
Bartholomew "Lemmie" Fizzlehiggins - Halfling Warlock/Wizard
Arson the Rat King - Goblin Ninja
and Crazen of the Storm - Human Cleric of Procan

I'm currently running the STAP, in a semi-homebrewed campaign, with the following player choices:
Flint -- male elf duskblade
Kira -- female elf druid
Yaz -- male elf rogue
Oskar -- male dwarf fighter
Nono -- male halfling rogue
They had made most of these character decisions before I explained to them that in my campaign world, non-humans were once great races long ago, but that they had been conquered by the humans. Within the last two hundred years, the non-human races were granted more or less full freedoms, but they were still looked down upon by humans, and were frequently treated as second class citizens.
None of the non-human races in my campaign world live all that much longer than humans, with elves still being the longest lived (but now 200 was a very long-lived rarity among elves).
I had also already decided that all PCs were born and raised in Sasserine, and were in fact childhood friends of Lavinia Vanderboren, whose parents had been philanthropic toward each of the PCs during their youth.
It's been a great campaign so far.

![]() |

Running in Paizo's version of Greyhawk.
The Cast:
Jaden Burrowridge-Halfling sorcerer/warlock (father is a renowned ex-adventurer and runs a wand shop)
Grigg- Dwarven barbarian (arena fighter)dumb as a post.
Kinj Wumble- Whispergnome rogue/fighter (works for the guard in the Noble District(mostly stealthy investigations/has a +18 hide modifier at 2nd level!)
Damien -human Cleric (of the Whirling Fury) has a distinct dislike of crabs suddenly.
Derf Baiter-human druid (son of a Master Baiter from the docks, think Steve Erwin mixed with......well, just Steve Erwin!) Can't wait to throw some Stingrays at him.
Can't remember the name but we also have a Ranger in the group who just showed for last session, and one player's girlfriend will be joining for a random session as a warmage about once every 3 months.
Good group I have here. Can't wait to start beatin' on them good.
FH

Curaigh |

I think things are clear now. I only allowed Avanti, phanaton, bullywog and PH races and classes. I also gave a bonus DISTRICT feat for good back story.
Teaglin Avanti Cleric of Whirling Fury. ACADEMY GRADUATE
Char Fighter human of the Emerald Wave. DISCOUNT FEAT from merchant's district (?name?).
Cora halfing rogue Seeker wannabe. WATERRAT
T-Unit 1/2 orc monk and member of the Scarlet Brotherhood. No backstory.
If you do not get bored by reading about other peoples characters...
Char wants to set up his own shop, but found adventuring more profitable than sailing. He purchased a 'treasure map' and actually brought back swag he found buried in the skull of a dragon turtle. The jewelry that had the mark of a maker not seen in 3 centuries. This success got the attention of Kora.
Cora is trying to join the seekers to keep herself busy and out of jail. Her most recent escape from jail (involving lock picks made from chicken bones) prompted an invite for employment from Kora (also the halfling. The name was purely coincidental).
T-Unit has no backstory, but I let him re-roll one stat if he agreed to play the 3 he rolled. Now has has 20 in str, 18 in wis and a charisma of 1. He routinely gets turning attempts thrown at him when he walks into public settings (and with his fury of blows is becoming known as the 6-armed zombie.) I had Kora approach him three times before she was finally able to not run off in fear! *chuckle*

Curaigh |

Funny that your party includes a halfling named Cora. You might want to change the name of Lavinia's majordomo when the adventure starts. :)
I thought about that, but instead Kora is rather smitten by Cora and has adopted Cora as a 'Kora from days gone by'. Much funner to play this way. :) Cora refuses to wear green now---too SWF (S1/2F?)

![]() |

The party that I'm playing in seems to have settled down (we had seven players on the roster to start and we're at a comfy 5 now):
LN Human Weretiger Monk 1 -using a level progression for his LA/HD, ECL2 right now
NG Half-elf Warlock 1 -the diplomacy guy
NG Human Bard 1 -Fey heritage feats, wants to multi-class into Druid
LN Kobold Artificer 2 -traps and magic specialist (my character)
N Human(?) Cleric 1 -going to multi-class into necromancer and do the true necromancer thing.
We are lacking in the heavy hitter department, and that was a problem when raiding the ship for the signet ring. The monk is okay in HtH, but lacks staying power, even with his insane AC!

MKennedy |

I am getting ready to start the campaign soon. My party will contain:
- Hellbred warlock
- Human Fighter
- Human Druid
- Paladin of Wee Jas (race TBD)
- Monk (race TBD)
- Halfling Rogue/Bard (eventually)
I am very excited to get this campaign rolling. There have been such great resources on this board that I am dying to put some of the fantastic ideas I seen here into practice.

Scede |

So my current party is getting to the point where they are going to start experiencing some issues. Current make-up is:
Tiefling Duskblade/Rogue
Aasimar Healer
Human Swashbuckler/Fighter/Duelist
Half-Orc Ranger/Barbarian/King of the Wild: Mountain
And I just picked up another player who made a....
Halfling Fighter
Almost finished with Tides of Dread now and have had a couple of ripples. The Fire Bats were invincible! Nobody in the party has anything to do cold damage. Being elementals they are immune to criticals (which also means coup de grace is impossible). I finally felt sorry for them and put a time limit on the "summon" just because no 9th level party should be defeated by a couple of CR3 creatures.
Then, since they are also lacking other utility spells, the tiefling was the only character that could enter the Fangs of Zohtzilaha due to his Fire Resistance. This means that he was also the only character to walk out with any loot. Nobody asked the zombie master to help out either, so it's their own darn fault.
I have a feeling the higher levels they go, the more trouble they are going to have. Offense they have in spades, they took down the T-Rex in two rounds, but when it comes down to resources they are kinda screwed.

P.H. Dungeon |

We have:
1. Cliffdwarf, Cleric 6.
2. Human, Ranger 5.
3. Human (jotenbred), Mnk 1/Barb 3 (Savage Grappler- he's built for grappling)
4. Goliath Barbarian 5.
Our party has pretty good team work. The Grappler is good a pinning opponents, so the Goliath can whack them with his axe, while the Ranger and cleric plug them with arrows and bolts. This has worked well for them so far, but we are only in SWW. The lack of magic in the party may start biting them in the ass a little ways down the road.

ericthecleric |
As of this moment (we levelled up today), we have:
Dwarf dragon shaman 4
Elf cleric3/wizard1
Half-elf ranger3/marshal1
Human barbarian4
Human paladin2/binder2
Human wizard4
And a human ranger2/rogue2, if the player had joined in today.
The PCs are one encounter into the Vanderboren manor in The Bullywug Gambit.

Wolfshead |

The party in my Savage Tide campaign started out as:
Human swashbuckler
Half-elf rogue
Dwarf fighter
Human wizard (necromancer)
Elf cleric
The dwarf was killed in Kraken's Cove, and was replaced by a half-orc barbarian.
The wizard is a specialist in necromancy. One of his prohibited schools is evocation. This has had a big effect on his offensive capabilities, and could become a problem in the future, when the party is facing high-HP opponents. I'm really looking forward to the day he can cast animate dead, just to see the look on the other players' faces. Only one other player is aware of the wizard's specialty, but his PC isn't.

Well, last night I started the STAP again (if you're counting, this is number 3; hopefully I'll see it through this time), and I have a pretty interesting mix of characters:
Krohl the Scarlet Ape, hadozee swashbuckler. Krohl began his life as a whaler. While at sea one stormy night, a giant wave threw him into the ocean. He was miraculously saved by a whale and returned to his ship on the whale’s back. When he regained consciousness, he found that his shipmates had killed and butchered the whale. Disgusted, Krohl left the whaling industry. Krohl soon grew bored with life in the hadozee commune and joined up with a group of big game hunters and exotic animal dealers. Once again Krohl's morals interfered with his ability to make a living, however. When he saw how his compatriots treated a group of apes they had captured (Krohl considers apes to be his little cousins), he rebelled and left the group. Despondent over the brutality of the so-called civilized races, Krohl's nihilism led him to the arena. He made something of a name for himself in the Obstacle Arena – where walls, pits, and objects made the gladiatorial ground more varied, and where he could get some height and use his wings to his advantage.
Alia Jahai, tibbit beguiler. As a small child (kitten?) Alia and her family were adopted by the child of a very powerful wizard. Alia, displaying the curiosity that defines her race, spent a great deal of time watching the wizard as he prepared his arcane rituals. Intrigued, Alia studied him more and more until she realized that she could replicate some of his most basic spells. Alia grew bored with many of the flashier magic, but found endless entertainment from enchanting people and creating illusions. When the wizard’s family moved away, Alia again lived on the street, but this time she was more than capable of making a living for herself.
Sylrath, elf warlock. As a child, Sylrath knew he was different from the other elves. While they stoically practiced their swordplay or their magic, Sylrath kept to himself. While studying at a prestigious academy, he met and formed a bond with the school’s elderly librarian. Being naturally inquisitive, Sylrath devoured the books the librarian put in front of him. Eventually, Sylrath worked his way into a section of the library he’d never seen before. There he discovered a book that stirred in him an insatiable hunger; a hunger to know what lay between the covers of that ancient book. Sylrath managed to control his temptation, however. He never opened the book on his own, but he did subtly encourage the librarian to take their lessons deeper and deeper into forbidden arcana. Finally, the librarian -- convinced that Sylrath’s interest was purely academic -- brought out the ancient book and began a lesson. That would be the last lesson Sylrath received at the hands of his teacher. Immediately after opening the book a devil leapt from his home in the Hells directly into the library. The librarian was killed slowly and painfully, but Sylrath was able to escape; the devil’s laughter filling his ears. Today Sylrath still hears the devil’s laughter. And late at night when no one is around, he sometimes hears whispered suggestions that a soul is a small price to pay for the power he could have at his fingertips…
Sylvia Van Divender of the Knights and the Chalices and the Palaces, etc., etc., etc. elf rogue. Sylvia grew up in the Noble District. Her father was a famous teacher of swordplay to, in Sylvia’s words, the “spoiled little human brats.” Living amongst the wealthy afforded Sylvia certain privileges that she might not have otherwise been able to enjoy, however. She attended Cloudcrystal Academy, and hobnobbed with Sasserine’s well-to-do. Sylvia’s father always wanted the best for Sylvia, but he was better at providing for her material needs than for her spiritual and emotional needs. So Sylvia became rebellious. She found that she had an uncanny ability to detect the plain-clothed Noble District watch and took perverse joy in picking their pockets. Sylvia’s father never could bring himself to punish her, and since she was only very rarely caught, he assumed that her criminal activities were isolated instances. Sylvia probably would have continued living as a petty thief and pathological liar if she hadn’t discovered her mother’s journal. She found that her mother was a member of the Seeker’s Guild, but far more disarming was Sylvia’s discovery that her mother’s death may not have been an accident at sea, but rather an instance of foul play. Sylvia isn’t sure what to believe, but she has worked out a deal with the head of the Seeker’s Lodge. He’ll provide her information about her mother if Sylvia agrees to spy on the Scarlet Brotherhood’s embassy in the Champion’s District, a task that Sylvia’s abilities have prepared her rather well for.
Boots, tibbit druid. Boots is a scholar of all things natural. She grew up in the Sunrise district, and spends much of her time wandering the plantations that surround Sasserine and cataloging the various plants that grow there.
Fikkaloo, darfellan ranger. Fikkaloo is the proud daughter of a darfellan chieftain. When her clan was scattered far and wide after a particularly nasty saughagin attack, she realized that the darfellan need a strong leader to unite them. She has taken this mantle upon herself, and she now searches for any magical creations that will help her unite her people and return them to their former greatness. Although she is somber and dour by nature, she’s obsessed with dwarves and halflings, and sometimes has to stifle a giggle when she sees them.

We are nearing the end of Bullywug Gambit. The party just fought Huntress Lorb-Lorb Tub.
Sea-cliff dwarf fighter 5: He has the glamered armor from earlier and decided to make it look like he didn't have any shirt on. I know this is unorthodox but he enjoys the look so I'm fine with it.
Human sorcerer 5: She thinks she is a shaman or juju priestess and gets very upset when someone calls her a sorcerer or wizard. Her repertoire of spells come mostly from the Spell Compendium and have a different flavor to the standard compliment of spells that most people choose. Not very good as a primary combatant but very good as a complementary combatant. Has a sneaky spell that distracts enemies into provoking attacks-of-opportunity. She calls it the juju finger or something like that.
Human fighter 4/mindblade 2: mechanically this guy is a very effective tripping melee fighter. He has joined Zelkarune's Horns and has ties to the guard from that district.
Halfling rogue 5: loves poisons but is not skilled at using them so he ends up poisoned as often as the enemies. Very ugly, scarred halfling from Shadowshore who is becoming better acquainted with his skills. He is actually very steady and loyal.
Darfellan druid 3/ barbarian 2: not sure what his plan is but he is going for a prestige class. His swimming prowess has come in handy a couple of times.
Human cleric 5 of Osprem: A whaler with a peg leg, one eye and very handy with a harpoon. He is the most skilled sailor out of the bunch.
I love the team. They have every base covered. The juju priestess doubles as the face.

(Xianta is now debating between aiming for sorceress/archmage, or sorceress/fighter/eldritch knight/archmage; Egric is aiming for cleric/wizard/mystic theurge.)
After Jason lost his only copy of Ordo's stats for a second time (two hard drive crashes), he couldn't bring himself to stat the monk up yet again. So Ordo left the party in Renkrue, planning to head back to Sasserine to gather a rebuild/resupply expedition for Fort Greenrock, to help stabilize a future trade route with Farshore. He's been replaced by Vaego Stonewall, a mighty half-orc fighter/paladin originally from the barbarian tribes of the far northeast.

We are using the "Gestalt" class features to make up for only having two players currently playing. We started out with:
Ragnor Flamingbeard: Male Dwarf Cleric/Monk of the Stone Fists, a sect of Dwarven monks who take care of the Shrine of Moradin in Sasserine.
Merka Cartel: Female Elf Swashbuckler/Fighter. Lesser noble from Sasserine. Owner of the Sea Wyvern before crew mutinied and Harliss got the ship from them.
Jormund Moorindal: Male Human Sorcer/Wizard/Silver Dragon Disciple. Upper middle class of Sasserine. Now has control of the Sea Wyvern.
Sadly Merka and Ragnor died horrible deaths against the Statue of Demogorgon on Farshore. There was also a brief stint of a Barbarian/Fighter that lasted one game before the player couldn't make it any more.
Merka and Ragnor were replaced by:
Aramiel Tr'Zor: Male Elf Beguiler/Cleric of Olidamarra/Mindbender. Followed the party to gain information on them after they took down the Lotus Dragons. Joined Jormund after friends died.
Doskias: Male Elf Rogue/Scout, imprisoned for breaking into the Meravanchi estate, released after promising to fight for Farshore after attack of Crimson Fleet.
And a Warlock/Fighter that got on the wrong side of Zatzalaha and was killed. He was replaced by:
Falcar: a Male Olman Fighter/Warmage. Diplomat between the Olmans and the PCs that has since become captured and brought before Cold Captain Wither, whom he beat in four or five rounds. Subsequently he was taken to Divided's Ire which prompted a quick rescue. That's where we're at right now.

OK. Last (and first) game, the hexblade had to leave partway through, so he didn't get to see his character in action.
Frankly, he was horrible.
Through a combination of low rolling and a poor build, he hit maybe one Zombie. I'm going to ask him to rebuild his character.
The cleric has an attack bonus of +0. We'll see how that works out later on.
The sorceress did the most consistant damage with her crossbow. The hadozee rogue finished the zombies after she took a potshot.

Playing in the (modified) Forgotten Relams
Starting group (kicked of the STAP at 2nd level, after a "get together" adventure on the ship to Sasserine ); group of five regulars ....
Rygan - dwarf fighter/ranger 1/1, very honour minded dwarf, gregarious and charismatic
Calamus - Moon Elf wizard/monk 1/1; member of an elven order of "mind over body" mystics, silent and forbidding.
Giénne de la Rochelle - female half elf Swashbuckler/swordsage 1/1; swordswoman for hire, pyromanic and rather a tease: knew Lavinia from Lady's prep school
Tyfus - Aventi favoured soul/bard of Shaundakuhl 1/1, violent temper and even more violent humor
Tur'abu'lion - Calimshite human Archivist/Rogue 1/1; elderly scholar type, wisecrack
- Rygan fell afoul of the Mother of All. He rests at the bottom of the sea - his replacement Jokan (human maritime Druid) got bitten in two, then digested by the Tar-pit tyrannosaur. Azahathala replaced him.
- Tyfus was killed by Olangru's mates, the less said about his gory death, the better
- Tur'abulion retired after BWG (having been near death app 5 times by then), - replaced by Charin
- Kilbjorn (warmage cohort) got killed by the beachside T-Rex.
current group
Giénne de la Rochelle - female half-elf Swashbuckler/swordsage 4/8
Calamus - Moon Elf wizard/monk/fatespinner/Harper Mage 6/1/3/2
Charin de la Rochelle - male half-elf Knight/Rogue/ Favoured Soul 5/3/4 of Torm, cousin of Giénne, part time main tank, full-time trouble magnet
El Castro - Illuskan human scout/monk 8/4; highly mobile archer, retired army-scout who's monastery got burned down . keynote "I only wanted to retire"
Azahathahtl - Olman human Shaman/Barbarian 10/2; "Revenge for my people !" Intuition-driven spirit seeker of the Olman people, questing for the glorious past of his ancestors and the reasons for their downfall.
cohorts
Byronthorus "Byron" - sea-cliff dwarven fighter/ranger 4/6, shieldman and squire to Charin, tremendous hitpoints ( Con+5, Imp. Toughness feat... the works)
Urol Furol - gnome expert/druid 3/7; loyal academic with a perceived life-debt to Gienne
Susielle - Amnian human bard/scout 7/2 (retired cohort, of Gienne, pregnant with the child of the late Tyfus )

My second go at the Savage Tide. Currently playing in a STAP as written game DM'd by Psionichamster - playing as Z Changeling Psion/Rogue/Elocator/Avenger. Taking over a second game with newbies to be run in Eberron.
Groody - CN Male personality Warforged Fighter w/Mithral Body, Power Attack, Cleave progression. Originally belonging to Cyre, has no alliances other then Zuckerin's Horn. Champion's District, Champion of Sasserine.
Mazar'harath - LG Kalishtar Paladin of il'yanna, also Power Attack route, intended Vassal of Behamut - we'll see about that. Nobles District, don't know regional feat.
Dead - NE Changeling Rogue would-be assassin, Quick Change, Disturbing Visage, Rapid shot, wants to look like a zombie...the paladin thinks he can 'fix' him...ha. Shadowshore District, Child of Shadow.
Quinn - CN Female Personality Warforged Artificer w/Adamantine Body possible Warforged Juggernaut. Merchant's District, Merchants Tongue.
My boyfriend actually started running this game about a month ago and since then we have decided to switch roles, Quinn was my character who will now turn Sasserine bound NPC while his new Character steps in....
L - NG Riedran Human Cleric (Path of Inspiration - see secrets of sarlona)/Ardent/Wizard/Rogue. A 007 type, originally a member of the Edge Walkers of Riedra turn Sea Captain. With possible Human Arificer Cohort addicted to Speed, designated as Q. I believe taking Water Rat Feat.
- Surprisingly enough he made this ridiculous build work out to a really cohesive character focused on movement.
I start my first session as DM this Thursday w/Sea Wyvren's wake.
Quinn claimed ownership of the Sea Wyvren and is now leasing it out to Lavinia for the journey south, as well as signing up the party as her crew. The party will be meeting L as the new captain of the ship while the 'possible cohort' Q is a Cannith Artificer Quinn petitioned to care of her ship on the journey.
The Paladin, in a previous adventure caught a child attempting - sucessfully - to steal his new Sword. During the chase the child is shot by Lotus Dragon's trying to kill the Pally, he saves him and takes the kid to the temple of Dol'Dorn, and pays his way as an apprentice to the clerics there in the attempt to turn him around. Over the course of the game the paladin took great interest in his new ward and I intend to reward him with Tavey Nesk as the young rouge turned cleric (who latches on to him like a father), possible cohort (if he takes the feat)accompanying the party on the journey to Farshore.
This is going to be really fun.

YeuxAndI |

We're taking a bit of a break, so I decided to post our updated party.
Johan (Male Olman [reincarnated] hexblade 3/fighter 10) Resident meat sheild and magic weapon depository.
Milo Xiloscient (NG male high elf bard 2/conjurer 3/ ultimate magus 5/ sublime chord 3) Pretty, graceful and way to smart like most elves, Milo found a golden scepter in the shape of a phoenix talon and recognized as part of a magical, fiery set, which he is now planning on making.
Queequeg (NG pygmy halfling druid 10/beastmaster 1/ sanctified of Ehlonna 2) and Queenie (9 HD dire ape animal companion) Cute little halfling that is a reformed cannibal and cooks like a fiend. Queenie is the mother of King Kong and is ready to rend Demogorgon to bits. And she wears a crown.
Ezender (LG aasimar cleric of Pelor 10/ranger 1/ sin eater 1) Sent by the Church in Sasserine to find Noltus Immersol, Ezender thinks that they were really just trying to get rid of him. Cynical, world weary and deeply religous, Ezender smites all that oppose the glory of Pelor
Waldengast (N half aquatic elf ranger 6/rogue 3/ dread pirate 4) Resident, obligatroy pirate captain of the Fury.

Evil Genius |

Here's the party in the STAP game I am DMing (We're on the Bullywug Gambit)
Alberich the Faceripper (Dwarf warblade 4): An arena fighter known for his ability to cut people's faces off.
Ha'ali (Gray elf wizard 4): A mysterious elf wizard.
Cross Vansaint (Human cleric of Pelor 3/ranger 1): A man obsessed about killing undead.
Valen Arkadis (Human rogue 4): A spy for the city of Greyhawk who came to Sasserine chasing a notorious drug lord known as Don Juanito.
The Dying:
Greg Smith (Human rogue 4): Currently infected with savage fever. The party sawed off the arm that got bitten, so he's currently unconscious on the beach outside the Crimson fleet cave. Just in case he came to as a savage creature, their crazy cleric decided to cut the other arm off as well...
The Dead:
Ali'ka (Wood elf swordsage 2): Killed by ixitachitl in the Lotus Dragon Hideout
Pykash (High elf spellthief 1): Eaten by ravenous zombies under Parrot Island
The Undead:
Balathastrius Knowlern (High elf druid 3): Slain in the Scuttlecove arena by a boneclaw while the party was on a side adventure. Ha'ali used his wand of animate dead on him and now he's serving as guard on the Blue Nixie until they decide to bring him to a cleric.
