hmm... so many names to suggest.
Gubbaffet (J/K)
Walter
Gopperson
Drenil
Ricksus
Rover
Lappy
Flappy
Gringon
Rifusaw
And the one I would really suggest would be.....SALSA
Just some suggestions and even though I said Quote" Gubbaffet (J/K)" Unquote, that doesn't mean you shouldn't name him that.
:)

Name your dog Cosmo.
I'm particularly partial to Cosmo. It's a damn good name.
That is funny because I called him cosmo for a couple hours but it just wasn't sticking, so I decided to post here for help. It's driving me crazy calling him "come here" and "no" all the time. Balor seems cool, but I wouldn't mind a cute name either. If anyone wants a pic, please e-mail me at aarecording@hotmail.com
thanks to all of you for your help, Paizo board clan is the best!

Pelor (pay-lore) the Pit Bull?
This is good. You can tell the judge that your pit-bull is named after "the God of Sunshine". Who would convict with that excuse?
Whatever you name it, please train your dog to get crazy happy when you say the words "sausage gravy". Trust me. Being able to say the words "sausage gravy" and have your pet go wild. . .
oh man!
there's nothing better.

The seventh legendary King of Rome:
Tarquinius
Has the advantage of being shortened to "Tar", which can give his name multiple meanings.
Also IMHO, Roman pit bull puppies should wear spiky collars and have at least a small legion of followers. Followers that should deliver pancakes to them. With butter and syrup.

I just got another dog, but I have been struggling with names! Help! male Pit Bull, D&D related name, his big sister is named "six"
I like "Stay", Handle Animal checks might be a little harder though... "Here Stay, come on boy, here Stay."
But seriously, pick a good strong name like "Mjolnir" after Thor's hammer.

Meepo almost had to pray for a raise dead spell this morning. I barely open my eyes and the first thing I see is a hundred tiny chunks of paper scattered all over the floor. I thought he attacked a kleenex so I shrugged it off and got ready for the day. I was all cleaned up and ready to go when I remembered that I had to pick up Meepo's mess. I started grabbing all the little pieces and I noticed small bits of text and other images were on the shredded confetti(sp?). My heart stopped as I realized it was my limited edition print from the movie "Cannibal Holocaust"(perfect theme for the new AP, savage tide). I only blame myself and consider it a failed intelligence and handle animal check. I put everything of value on higher ground, so hopefully everything is "Meepo proof" in my house now. At least he didn't get the stack of hardcovers :)

Thank you all for your help! I want to get a bunch of other pets now so I can use all of these great names. Dwarven ale for all! *gives fake healer permission to tap the giant keg
Yea, me!!! Good luck with the monster and hope he doesn't take any class levels in the Carpet Destroyer PRC!

A pit bull named Meepo... how oxymoronic.
I named my chocolate lab/American husky mix: Vitus (the patron saint of comedians). But if I ever get another dog perhaps I'll name him something D&D related. I realize I'm late on this discussion - I came for the free ale.
I think Umberhulk would work for a pit bull. There's always Gorgon, Taurus, Worg...

This thread reminds me of an old tv show on MTV (back when MTV was relevant in some form) that John Stewart hosted where they would act out stories sent in by viewers. One guy from New York City wrote in about how he had lost his dog and ran around the neighborhood yelling his name at 2 a.m. The dog's name? Batman. 2 a.m. in New York City, a guy runs around screaming,"BATMAN!! BAATMAAN!! HAS ANYONE SEEN BATMAN?!"

Bubbles the Purple Psydo Dragon... *sighes* The interesting stuff a bored 14 year old comes up with.
D8... seriously, spell it that way too. Our cat is named 6e after the cat 6e ethernet cable. The vet just laughed... using numbers in names turns heads and is easily remembered.
