Walking along a passage someone steps on a pressure plate and opens a deep pit trap....complete with spiked floor....which is directly under the barbarian. The barbarian catches himself, but in the process manages to tear a strap on his backpack (which is holding the parties community money) and it tumbles into the pit. Instantly the party rouge blurts out "I jump in to get it.".

It was fun, but only 2 PC deaths in all. The "little terror" now has lvl 9 spells after they killed the battlemaster. Well, its over now, but I put in 3 more plot hooks. mwhahahaha! Happy Gaming!

Lvl 9 spells, eh? He will rule the world one day...lol. I hope you plot hooks snag some good game sessions for you.

I think we may actually have something going pretty soon. We met another guy who is a GM with his own world and loads of new and interesting things. He runs an AD&D 2nd ed. game, but thats fine since I still have all my books and have most of my experience in 2nd ed anyway. We should be getting together in the next week or two for our first run through. I shall keep you posted ;0]

OK, session um... are we on 4 or 5? Anyway the next drow session is coming this weekend. I really hope we have fun and/or kill the munchkin...

I'm not really sure either...5 I think. Anywho how did it go? Was the little terror killed? I'm sure it was a blast either way lol.

We are now located at 510 Bush River Rd. We're about 2 blocks from our old location. Now we are just across the street from Ruby Tuesday. Yes, we do buy back used RPG products if it's something that I think I can sell. We usually offer store credit only unless it is something exceedingly rare.

Hey everyone, just sharing some happy news...

My son, Corbin was born Thursday 4:33PM. He was a healthy 8 pounds 11 ounces, and 19 inches long. My wife did a great job and we're all home and resting now. The doctor was impressed, he says that he doesn't get many women who deliver without an epidural nowadays.

My daughter Lexi (3 1/2 yrs old) and I are already starting with the brainwa-, I mean, uh...indoctrination. She likes teaching him and showing him her toys "This is Spiderman and this is a dragon...he's blue". She also put my plush Cthulhu in with him and said "This is Put-ulu!" Grand times in store!

...if we can ever get any sleep.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! Kids are what makes it all worth it.

Also, this April I think, there is a convention coming up called Round Con I go to every year. Its really fun and you might be able to set up a permanent group with some new friends you could make.

A combo of all the above mentioned senarios would make for a very interesting session indeed haha

The guy I have been gaming with actually know the people that run Round Con. I am really looking forward to going this year. See you there.

My name is Ben and I'm the manager of Heroes and Dragons. I just spotted this thread a few minutes ago. Battlerage, when you said you came to the store and nothing was going on, it was probably because we were in the process of moving to our new location. We have been at the new store for about 2 and half months now and would love to see more d&d players in the game room. We still have our messageboard with a few players looking for groups. So please come on by if you are looking for a game on some Saturday. Those are usually the best days to find players or hook up with an established group. Thanks!

OK, session 4 coming soon! I cant wait for the munchkin of mine to get to the evil room! MWHAHAHA! But, in case it doesnt work, you have any ideas for extremely deadly lvl 16 encounters:)

lol...you sure have it in for them it would seem. I have been thinking about this for a few days and came up with a couple of ideas. Don't know if you can use any, but here goes:

1.if they are underground you could use a cluster(2-4) huge Umber Hulks (13-24 HD)...I would make them 15-18 HD myself.
or you could go the route of the Elder Xorn(15HD) a pair or a party depending on the amount of PCs you have. Also a combination of them both for a big one two punch might be in order =0]

2.One or two juvenile or young adult dragons always gets the blood pumping.

3.If they are still messing with the drow then maybe a troupe of Tanar'ri is in order (1 Balor-13HD, 1 Maralith-9HD, and 2-5 Hezrous-9HD). You can play around with the HD to make them more appropriate...lol.

4.If you don't mind throwing a good aligned creature at them and want a holy cow effect then you could go with a Solar celestial.....man o man what I could do with a +5 dancing, vorpal greatsword hahaha

5.Then my personnal favorite....You could always have a lunatic of a wizard say 18th lvl with a large Shield Guardian (16-24HD). They fit in anywhere and being nuts he is very unpredictable. Could be alone, very friendly and helpful, then lose it over the smallest thing and call out his friend the guardian before going crazy with fireballs and lightning bolts.

6.If all else fails you could name the next session "The Tarraque Awakens" /evil grin

Sounds like you have a plan there. Well I didn't get any modules, but I did get some cool stuff from my son and wife so I can't complain. OK... In 2 more days, the ultimate big time d and d session will begin! From 4 in the afternoon to really early in the morning, me, my brother and my friends will play a really long lvl 16 assult on a drow house adventure to reclaim the beloved npc onrie! This will start a big 6 parter that will tke them to lvl 18 or so where they fight an aspect of lolth herself. Haha, I also got MACE-Con in a week. Oh boy will I be tired.

Im a very new DM looking to start a D&D 3.5 group using mostly pre-written adventures. The group is targetted towards newer players who are unsure of rules or whatever and want to learn how to play. Im interested in learning through experience. Email me if you are a new gamer or someone that simply wants to learn D&D.

Too bad you don't live in South Carolina. I am not new to gaming, but I am dying to get back into it. Alas...my bad luck continues...lol.

In the secound homebrown umm, campeign... Trimas, Illimian Warlock and Hander Whitefist paladin and Zoreph human fighter were attending a veterins celebration and after some fun role plaing with bad puns, coca cola beer, and singing, the festivies were attacked by tunnling areans ( the big cochroach bugs). The group went down to fight them off but were also attacked by formains that were fighting the bugs also. So far it seems that a gnome effigy master named The clockwork Lord is trying to make a formain hive out of the peacful undercity! This is session 4 to the Demon War Legacy. Great opening for the clockwork fortress or The Hive. Only problem is, I dont know what!

lol...sounds like a very good fight a a most interesting lead in. I think you got it covetred pretty well my friend.

Oh IC. Well, I still haven't been able to run through it so its all new to me.

UPDATE: in the last adventure it came down to the illisionist doin something that turned the part into A female kobald (fat), a gargoyal, a cheeta and a lepord. He also summoned 5 holy squirls to fight off shapeshifter barb. in a hall of mirrors.

Sounds like a very interesting adventure. I'm sure it will take a turn for the worst before the squirrels are done..lol

One of my favorite characters of all time came from 2nd edition about 15 years ago.
Ivan the dwarven battlerager. Ivan drank so much that he actually incurred negatives to his attack and damage rolls while sober. The kicker is that he was paranoid about bars and saloons: because only thieves, ruffians, and other such scoundrels frequented those types of establishments. He eventually traded a +2 warhammer to a gypsy for an everfull tankard of ale that he took everywhere encluding to bed. Loads of fun with this guy...still got his papers, would love to run with him again...lol
