Living Greyhawk

Dungeon Magazine General Discussion

Hi all,
Having been a Roleplayer a long time, Greyhawk holds a special place in my heart. Let me say now, I am sooooo happy Dungeon has included Greyhawk adventures (not to mention the Maps) on a regular basis. Please keep this up!
I now play a lot of Living Greyhawk. I know Dungeon has included a fair bit of LG material. I have most of it, except the early oop LG Journals. I hope these will become available as PDF's. Please keep this up!
My frustration is with all these great Greyhawk adventures you are producing! Can they be sanctioned by the RPGA to be Official LG Adventures? If so we could get the Certs for them and play our Official LG Characters. Here in Australia, we are part of Perrenland. So is New Zealand, which is close, but still a plane trip (over sea) away. It means a very expensive, international flight if we want to play in other regions. I'm not sure the RPGA really thought about this when the regions were created. Quite frustrating really. Apart from our own region, the only other Adventures are Cores and Meta-regionals. HOWEVER, Dungeon has produced such fantastic (cool) Core Adventures. The standard with most (if not all) is higher than the Official Sanctioned adventures. Certainly the Cartography and Artwork is. I know that LG is free, compared with you having to buy Dungeon (Note: I'll keep buying Dungeon) so this has to be taken into account.
BOTTOM LINE: Why aren’t these awesome adventures sanctioned so my official LG Character can play them and be Officially credited with a Cert? Dungeon did it once with Mad God's Key. Why can't this happen all the time? I'll put my hand up to submit Certs if that is an issue!
I appreciate the reward points, but I really would prefer the Adventures sanctioned.
...and yes, I'm a Christian and a Roleplayer. Somebody once said "is that like being a pygmy basketball player" LOL.

Because it takes a lot of time and effort to coordinate, and time is not something we have a lot of these days. We're working on sanctioning another adventure soon. Glad you like the campaign. Not sure if you know this or not, but I was a founding member of the Circle, and served as the campaign's first campaign director. It warms my heart to see that the campaign is still going strong.

Merry Christmas!

Erik, I was hoping the Touched by the Abyss was sanctioned for LG. I hope the LGJ comes back as well. I'm hoping 2005 brings more LG and the LGJ back to Dungeon!

Any ETA on new Living Greyhawk approved adventures in Dungeon?

Not really. I have someone writing one now, but it's not yet been slated into a particular issue.

How would it be handled, Erik?

Mad God's Key was a "intro" adventure so worked for a limited level range - would another LG adventure be necessarily of limited level range, or would you make it available to a large selection of levels?

I've finally run some Living Greyhawk adventures over the past few months... interesting. Some quite good, and some not so good.

Cheers,

And let me tell you, the handouts from Dungeon were handy when running Dark Clouds Over Istivin, the Living Greyhawk module!

I played my first two Living Greyhawk adventures last night. Why? Because of the Greyhawk content in Dungeon magazine.

I had a blast and will be playing LG as long as it is supported.

Peace and smiles :)

Any chance of the LG supported articles returning to Dragon or Dungeon?
