Hello everyone!

tl;dr; Go to Goblinworks.com if you are a guild or buddy leader and reinvite your friends. You'll see a prompt to do so on the right.

We are continuing to make progress on getting electronic Kickstarter backer rewards to everyone who generously pledged and helped us create a wonderful game in the world of Golarion.

A week ago, we had some trouble getting Buddy and Guild packs correctly moved over from Paizo to Goblinworks. We continue to have issues giving guild and buddy members access to the 'Transfer to Goblinworks' tool. We have decided the best route forward is simply to implement the invite system on the Goblinworks side. This means we are ignoring the previous buddy and guild invites that existed only on Paizo.com.

I apologize for the extra work we are asking you to do. I hope the overall process will be easier and quicker to deal with, however. As of now, if you transfer to Goblinworks with a Guild Leader or Buddy Leader, you will receive an appropriate number of 'invites'. You can send those invites to any email address you wish, and resend them any number of times.

Each invite works similarly to a coupon and can only be redeemed once. The recipient will be prompted to either create a new Goblinworks account or log into an existing one. After redeeming the invite, they will have access to an appropriate enrollment level. (Including benefits such as discounted upgrade packages, etc.) They are then 'in the game' and will be able to play on the appropriate date. All buddy and guild packages will give the right to play during Month 1 of the Early Enrollment period.

There are a few people who purchased Adventurer packs to invite friends to the Open Enrollment period - those should also produce an appropriate invite.

Thanks so much for your patience! We are working hard on getting Alpha open in a matter of weeks, and then Early Enrollment as soon as possible after that.

I just wanted to say to you, as well as the entire Goblin Works staff:

Thank you for all your hard work, it is much appreciated!

Goblin Squad Member

Not on site. On what page is the link? I assume the link will not appear if you do not have buddy of guild paid for?

Goblin Squad Member

Thanks

Goblin Squad Member

Appeared fine for me and invite sent to the appropriate buddy email addy.

If you are logged in and have the ability to send any then they will appear on the right side bar regardless of what page you are on. They also will appear on your account page.

Is it safe to have Goblins loose in the office on a weekend?

Goblin Squad Member

Thanks. I don't have any so it is logical that I don't see them.

I swear we didn't wreck the place... well not entirely anyway.

Goblin Squad Member

Slight issue.

My Guild invites are present. But my Adventure pack add-on invites are not present.

We're working up to Alpha right now and are in the office most weekends.

Good news!

Liberty's Edge Goblin Squad Member

Sorry to see you guys working on the weekend... and after normal business hours at that, but really appreciate the effort.

It seems like the current order of priorities is;

1: Get all account signups working (nowish)
2: Begin land rush (soon)
3: Launch Alpha (weeks)
4: Launch Early Enrollment

Is it correct to conclude that the goblinworks.com accounts will be used for both the land rush and Alpha/EE login? Hence the need to get all the account creation logic working before proceeding to the other steps.

Same here.

Yep, that's exactly right! We don't want to turn on the land rush until we get the account issues shaken out.

Once you have transferred to Goblinworks, it is all one unified login system. If you have signed up for Alpha, then that is marked on your account, and it will give you the ability to log into the Alpha game in a few weeks. You'll log in with the same account name and password.

Noted. We will look in to this shortly.

Not working as expected; email sent to customer.support@goblinworks.com .

Worked fine for the first invite I sent. No problem. I will give feedback once the others are done.

Also: Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but those of us with Paizo accounts that purchased an EE account through the goblinsquad store, what exactly do we do in order to link the two accounts since it wasn't part of the kickstarter and appears through My Downloads instead of the pledge manager.... I have a Goblinworks account but I have no way of linking it to my Paizo account.

No kickstarter link under my account?

Goblin Squad Member

A better explanation would be that I did not participate in the original Kickstarter. Instead I was informed about the Month 2 EE buy in roughly a month ago. I logged into my Paizo account and then went to the goblinworks website. From there I went to the store, once I selected a purchase it sent me back to Paizo in order to purchase the game. Now I have a Paizo account where I am a goblin squad member and have all the benefits I was promised, but when I go to the Goblinworks website and create an account I have no way to link to my paizo account.

Goblin Squad Member

Yeah, i was hoping they tied it to the kickstarter link to make it easy...

Goblin Squad Member

Here is what is listed under My Downloads:
Goblin Squad Pioneer—Month Two
Pathfinder Online
Pathfinder Online Game Time 1 Month
Pathfinder Online Add-On: Player Pack
Pathfinder Online Add-On: Alliance Pack
Pathfinder Online Custom Content: Name Reservation

But I do not have access to the pledgemanager so it will not let me link my Goblinsquad account and my Paizo account. The same problem has happened for several of my friends.

Yep, we'll be handling you guys separately. I hope you are the last piece of the puzzle, and we may just manually link you guys next week.

DeciusBrutus, you are a special case. Customer service will probably contact you.

Thanks all!

Thanks Mark, Taylor, and the rest of the Goblins!

Question: How long do we have to assign the buddy account? I originally pledged for a buddy account in the hopes that my wife would join me and she hasn't made a decision yet. Is there an expiration date on assigning the second account?

Goblin Squad Member

4 of the 5 linked, I would say its working well. (waiting for the other one to get the message)

Is this annoumcement being sent out via Kickstarter as well? I have friends who have pledged at the Crowdforger Guild level but don't follow the forums here. Will they be notified?

Eventually there should be an email going out to the kickstarter list. For the time being we are still keeping things decently quiet until we are sure the systems are solid.

Goblin Squad Member

Not sure if I messed something up, but I figured if there is an issue you guys would like to know. I just registered on the Goblinworks site because I have a buddy crowdforger kickstarter package and I was going to send a buddy invite. I used the same e-mail I used for here at Piazo to register. When I click on my account on Goblinworks it says that my e-mail is verified, but that I have not yet enrolled as a Goblin Squad member. There is nothing else there except an option to change my password.

So if it is working as intended and I am just missing something I apologize, but if there is a problem should I send an e-mail to customer.support@goblinworks.com?

On the weekend, with no meetings and personally in control of their own time, mountains can be moved (by the appropriate team).

Goblin Squad Member

Unfortunately, I'm a Kickstarter buddy leader, but also one of those who's as-yet unable to link my accounts. I keep looking for a way to delete my so-far useless Goblinworks account and just start over, but no luck there either :-(.

Goblin Squad Member

I got my buddy invitation. Thanks Lone_Wolf and Goblinworks!

Did you go through the account linking process on paizo.com? If not go to https://goblinworks.com/paizo-account-link/ and follow the instructions there.

I was just joking a bit and making a reference to this:

That's the part I saw, too.

Still, it'll sure be nice to see the new Land Rush map... *hint hint*

Goblins are working on getting everything up and running as we speak...but we don't want to push it up during the weekend because then the goblins have to sleep here in case something goes wrong. And then the rest of us come back Monday morning to find the goblins have wrecked the place while unsupervised.

I have no doubt that in reality the Goblins are dedicated and working hard to bring us a quality product. And they probably don't really pee in the corner of Ryan's office when they're unsupervised...

You are a gentleman and a scholar sir!

Goblinworks now states that I have an invite I can send.

Thank you :)

Note for anyone else reading this, make sure to click the 'Send Information' box that is grayed out and has an X on it, after you do step 6 in the Piazo Kickstarter pledge tool. That is what will send the info to Goblinworks.

$35 Adventurer add-ons are not Buddy or Guild rewards and are not being processed at this time.

Makes sense. Those accounts won't go live until OE and thus aren't needed for the land rush and alpha launches. More than a year to get them up and running before they'll be useful.

CEO, Goblinworks

Ideally we want them live ASAP So people can upgrade from them to Early Enrollment.

Goblin Squad Member

Bah, spoken like a true salesman.. :)

So I did get my buddy invite and created my GW account, but it isn't linked to this account. Does it matter?

Goblin Squad Member

Probably not. You have a Goblin Squad icon, so you have access to the other stuff.

Goblin Squad Member

This seems "sort of" the right place to possibly ask (or at least all the right people to gain an answer from are here)...if you want to buy a second account, do you have to have a second Paizo/GW account to do so, or can you do it with your existing account?

Several people I asked were uncertain.

If my assumption that this was a proper place to post this question was in error, I apologize in advance.

Goblin Squad Member

Thank you, Taylor! He fixed my problem last night, and it turned out to be non-alphanumeric characters in my Goblinworks password; the link tool, for whatever reason, has difficulty with them.

I got rid of them, and everything worked the first time. If anyone else's having troubles, try that.

Goblin Squad Member

I was a member of a Guild Pledge but since I was not the primary I can't link my Goblinworks account via the kickstarter tool.

Once the primary sends me the invite on Goblinworks I can then link my account?

Goblin Squad Member

1 person marked this as a favorite.

It will not be an account link. The interaction between both sites is not working atm... (think they are skipping that for now to get everything else going)

Once your friend sends the invite you will be set to play in EE.

CEO, Goblinworks

You'll need to use the Guild invite tool on Paizo in the Pledge Manager to get the PDFs and the various other KS rewards in that package. You'll need to use the invite system on Goblinworks to get into the game. Not optimal, but comprehensive.

Goblin Squad Member

I received my guild buddy invite via email, and I clicked it and the account on goblinworks.com seems fine. I cannot, however, link that account with this paizo account still. Is this ok, or does that need to work?

My paizo account still has no indication that I'll be playing PFO; it doesn't list me as a Goblin Squad Member or anything.
When I go to https://goblinworks.com/paizo-account-link and click on "Pledge Link Tool" it says "You have no Kickstarter pledges" the same as it did before.
The email address now associated with this account does not, in fact, have any pledges; this account was transferred to me from someone who bought a $500 guild package.
Is everything in order or is there still some link that needs to be established between the goblinworks account, and this paizo account?

Goblin Squad Member

On your Paizo account under My Downloads do you see a whole bunch of PDFs?

And near the top you should see something like "You have these downloads coming but they are not ready yet"

Pathfinder Tales: The Crusader Road ePub/PDF
Pathfinder Online: Soundtrack (Download)
Pathfinder Flip-Mat: The Emerald Spire Flip-Mat Mega-Pack PDF
Pathfinder Online: The Emerald Spire (PFRPG) PDF
Pathfinder Online: Behind the Scenes PDF

That does not look like a Crowdforger level pack. Maybe the Music Lovers add-on or something. Not sure but I would say you probably do not have access to Early Enrollment.

No, my goblinworks account specifically says that I *do* have access to early enrollment. My paizo account does not. That is why I posted and wonder if there needs to be some sort of correction/link for my paizo account or if I can just not worry about whether or not my paizo account accurately reflects things.
