Oh my god, this is an early Christmas for us DMs. Thanks a bunch <3
We on the design team love you all, GMs, and 3pps alike, so we wanted to make sure to get this to you as early as possible and for free! Please also thank the amazing editors and the magically-fast-at-layout Sonja for how quickly they were able to help us get this to you!
Woohoo! Now I can convert the monsters form the 1E Bestiasries! Especially my favorites, which include everything Lovecraft and along those lines just about every monster known to be associated with the Dominion of the Black.
Kinda curious about how level 24 is highest in pdf compared to Treerazer's 25. I mean, it makes sense, by rules 24 to 4 level 20 pc is extreme encounter and any higher than that would be impossible without shenanigans, but still curious. It does make sense to leave higher level creatures for after there are equivalent of mythic rules though when currently they would be impossible for normal characters.
Though comparing rules and Treerazer, it kinda seems like Treerazer is statted as 24 level creature with artifact(and possibly special abilities) boosting him to level 25. At least most of his numbers are similar to extreme level 24 range with only couple going higher. Which would make sense as well :D
So happy to see this! I'm still learning, right along with my gaming group of many years now. My players all love the changes! I'm having trouble adjusting, but then I always do: I'm actually the slowest to pick up new rules, but fortunately my friends are patient. And this is going to be absolutely invaluable for us! Thank you!
BTW, will final Gamemastery Book have example of building monster with these rules? I think they are simple enough for that not to be needed, but I guess it would be less intimidating for newbies and it would have been nice to have example of it with 1e monster rules in first place :p

Oh yeah, one or two examples showing the whole design process from concept to final stat block would be great! :)
Formatting feedback: for Table 2-11, please move the category names (Extreme, High, Moderate) to the left a bit so that they are in the middle of "DC" and "Spell Attack" for each category.
If you are glancing quickly at the table, it is very hard to tell if the fourth column is the High DC or Extreme DC.
