If you need to fill your rooms with props and accessories, this is the set to pick up. I like to stay ahead of the curve, so if you're reading this after asking for a reprint in the forum, shame on you. Buy it now, while you can!
I like the idea of Dungeon Decor Pawns but I'm disappointed they are so dark. There is hardly any contrast, even under the best lights. A lot of games I've played in and ran did not have the greatest lighting so these pawns needed a lot of contrast in the colors. An example is the two Red Carpet pawns. From a distance, it looks like a reddish colored rectangle on a light brownish-gray background. For some reason the top third of the carpet is black. If you shine a light on the pawn you can barely make out a gold pattern on the carpet. That gold pattern should have stood out on the red background but you have to shine a light on it to even see it. I would love to see if the original artwork is as dark as the pawns are. I am very disappointed.
I give the idea 5 stars out of 5, but with the printing so dark with hardly any contrast I give it 2 stars out of 5.
There are about 95 different unique images/figures/things, and from a quick count it looks like there are 60 pieces intended to be used flat and 35 pieces intended to be used vertically.

I was a little disappointed with the 1x2 Bookshelf, Scroll Case and Cabinet from Traps and Treasures.
They were made to be laid down on the mat so they looked like you were looking down on them.
You could hardly see much detail.
Hopefully the Bookshelf and any other similar in this one be different.
Any chance these will omit the text on at least one side? The image above doesn't show text, but the same was true for Traps & Treasures. I like the Traps & Treasures set but the text does rather break immersion.

We gotcha covered. There is text on only one side of the pawns in this set.

The best of both worlds! This will definitely be a purchase from me. Thanks for listening to your customers.
Yes! I love me some dungeon dressing. I'm still using pieces from Hero Quest and Dark Tower to populate my rooms. I've picked up minis here and there but these will be just what I need!
Do i have it correct that this will launch at the end of august with traps and treasures launching in september? I see a lot of people speaking as if they already have these and am a little bit confused if i have missed them for sale somewhere before. Already bummed the original monster codex box is not available anymore =( so I dont want to miss these to add to my collection.

That is something i have noticed with quite some other pawns too, but not with most.
The Starfinder Alien Archive has great bright colorful images for instance, but some other sets in the past had images so dark that they were hardly discernible....
You are right, Marco. There is something inconsistent in the printing. Sometimes too dark, sometimes perfectly clear as crystal. I thought the Heroes & Villains set was one of the prettiest sets released with gorgeous artwork. Unfortunately, it has been much maligned by evil PFS players due to the lack of labels on the pawns.

You can lay them down or stand them up. They're pretty versatile at my table.
