Even beyond its use for the Pathfinder Society scenario #9-09: Beyond the Halflight Path, Bigger Caverns provides so much variety that I've started carrying it with me for all of my home games as well! Each "room" can be used on its own for individual caves, or you can use a marker to block off a passage or two and make smaller cave networks, in addition to the whole. The art, as always, is crisp and detailed, and (for me, at least) the creases seem to come out easier on this Flip-Mat than on previous installments of the "Bigger" product line. All of this together gets a five-star rating from me!
Just received this 'Bigger' flip-mat. Wow, it is nice. The larger size provides for using all, or just parts, of the caverns. One side has a natural crystal cave. Just looking at it right out of the package, I can envision adventures here. And....no drawing out rippley lines!
Cool! I hope this has some broader tunnels (4 squares) and is more generic with lots of glowing mushrooms.
A "jewel-encrusted chamber" may be too special, just keep the look from Flip-mat "Twisted Caverns" and from the Map-packs "Cave Tunnels" and "Cave Chambers" and make them larger. ;-)
Can you update the artwork for this flipmat yet?
Thanks
Tim
Normally the updates for june should happen around the 15th or 16th, but with Paizocon around the corner it is hard to predict - lots of work to do for the poor Paizo crew...
So the cover has been updated, but there are no samples (yet).
Maybe there won't be any this month, because of the increased workload for Paizocon, but i hope we'll still get them.
Judging from the cover only, i wouldn't buy this (and i love the Darklands/Underdark).

Weren't the past "Bigger" maps not part of the subscription? Are they now?
And I was wondering why this is in my sidecart if it is supposed to be part of my subscription. As long as I get one of these in June, not zero or two, I will be happy.

How much bigger though? 45% doesn't tell us much. It could be as long and narrow as a spell scroll or a roll of toilet paper and still be be "45% bigger" in overall surface area.
How big are the dimensions of these new maps (in terms of inches/squares) versus those of their smaller cousins?

Just got an email, they are now part of the subscription.
When you preorder something that later becomes available as a part of a subscription you have, we don't actually cancel your existing preorder—we just fulfill 1 of the preordered copies as a subscriber copy.
It has been 6 days and there are still no sample images.
This is one of the few times, where i´m glad not to be a subscriber, because i wouldn´t know if to cancel my subscription (those go out today i think) or not for this particular product...
EDIT:
Okay i´ve just seen that subscribers begin to get their stuff on wednesday.
That probably means there will be an update tomorrow, that way they would have 1 day to decide if they want their stuff or not.
What's to decide? The Bigger Flipmats are yet to disappoint. Live on the edge and order one unseen Marco, I bet you'll love it. :)
I think Paizocon + subsequent staff absences + nightmarish-I-don't-want-to-think-about-it-technical-issues-with-people's-c onnections-to-Paizo.com + working on implementing and then rolling out the new look website have probably all added up to....us having to wait a little longer than usual for a preview image.
