A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for levels 3-7.
When several Andoren officials vanished, the Pathfinders of the Almas lodge were quick to lend their aid in investigating the disappearances. It's since become apparent that the officials didn't leave; they were abducted, and the captors' trail leads into revolution-torn Galt. The trail grew cold in Woodsedge, where Venture-Captain Eliza Petulengro has gathered a team of agents to renew the investigation. The PCs must rediscover the trail, and in the process they'll uncover a secret that has long plagued the town.
Contents in A Case of Missing Persons also contributes directly to the ongoing storyline of the Liberty's Edge faction.
This is a fantastic investigation scenario, with a lot of room for roleplaying. There a couple of plot twists that made my eyes bug out with surprise, even though I had an inkling of something going on since I had already prepped (but not run) the special for this season. It's really nice to return to a location that really only shows up in a "retirement" arc, and a lot of the background detail there was very cool to see again. It's nice to know what those "folks" have been up to the last several years.
Hold on to your hats when you play this one, especially if you're Liberty's Edge!
Played with Viewlard in the low-tier, though we had multiple between and out-of-tier characters.
A couple of Andoran senators have been abducted, and the trail leads towards revolutionary Galt. With the Almas lodge shunting the responsibility, Eliza Petulengro picks up the slack and brings in her own investigative team of Pathfinders to track down their whereabouts.
Needless to say, this is an investigation heavy scenario, so make sure you have some skill characters along for the ride. You're provided with some information and leads beforehand (a Venture Captain that actually does her own research before sending you out?) but are left to your own devices in terms of how you approach things. You get to witness a number of aspects about Galt throughout, and the oppressive atmosphere is obvious throughout.
I played my half-Galtan Investigator for this, and I was easily swept up in the investigation. The story unfolds in a number of interesting ways, frequently providing you with new clues and information as you proceed. Even though there were multiple non-skilled characters in our group, they seemed to remain interested and frequently involved themselves in the events throughout.
There is only one mandatory combat, and there are apparently two options for it. The fight we encountered was absolutely devastating. I'd be tempted to dock a star simply for the difficulty of that fight, but I had so much fun throughout the rest of the adventure that it more than made up for it. Not sure if the difficulty remains the same for the high tier, but we had multiple characters drop (including me), and this was with a number of us at level 5 and above. There is the potential for at least one more combat, but we avoided it with some careful planning and good skill checks.
All in all, this was one of my favorite scenarios that I played at Gencon, and I look forward to GMing it soon.
Edit: Oh, and be sure to play this with Liberty's Edge faction characters if you can. I won't say any more, but big things are brewing.
As Valstaff mentioned: this is an investigation mission with a nasty-hard fight hidden inside (I suspect more than one is possible but skill monkeys will help prevent that), so if you only bring skill monkeys, it will get ugly.
The investigation is interesting and engaging, as is the underlying story. If you're not the skill folk (I wasn't), it's still interesting to hear the developing story; you can still engage in what is going on. I'm looking forward to GM-ing this for others!
I played this scenario at GenCon and I'd be careful with this one. a Group of level 3's that could take 40 damage in one hit from a rend in addition to the two claws damage is scary.
Would playing this in the midst of a campaign made up mostly of Season 5 adventures be a problem?
I am thinking more about the faction developments that have already happened by the start of this one and by the end
Also I don't think I can realistically can't run Hellknights Feast after this (which would be the plan due to tier structures) because of the status of reoccurring characters...
I am only considering this because I have just run Stolen Heir and my players might like the familiarity moment of Andoran/Galt/Almant.

There are several good scenarios that lead up to the events in this adventure, namely the...
Spoiler:
...revelations about Colson Maldris.
Pathfinder Society Scenario #6: Black Waters:
The tie-in here is largely due to the Andoran faction mission, which identifies some shady stuff Colson Maldris was pulling to mine for intelligence.
Pathfinder Society Scenario #4–16: Fabric of Reality:
The Andoran faction mission in this adventure is rather infamous for the motives of Colson Maldris. After this adventure, the calls to oust Maldris began in earnest.
Pathfinder Society Scenario #5–04: The Stolen Heir:
This adventure lays some really good groundwork for #9–02, including the morally gray choices that the faction sometimes needs to make.
Pathfinder Society Special #5–99: The Paths We Choose:
You'll want the Andoran faction mission in this one. This introduces a VIP that Colson Maldris has identified as an aristocratic sympathizer who needs to be removed.
Pathfinder Society Scenario #7–05: School of Spirits:
This is a superb follow-up to Black Waters, bringing back a major NPC from that adventure, providing more revelations about the Maldris family, and giving the PCs a great opportunity to choose what to do with that information. Maldris features prominently.
