I'm sure the people of Kassen consider that a very important lesson for their children to learn. Is anyone good with mechanical stuff and can look what this does before we operate it?"
Gunder will cast Guidance on anyone attempting a knowledge check to determine what the wheel does.
"Bria! Wait, wait wait ... wait a second before you operate that wheel."
Gunder hurriedly removes his armor and his shield, stowing both of them in his backpack, before giving Bria a signal to continue.
"Okay, now I'm ready. Just in case we need to start swimming."

Gunder stows his shield as Bria and Elizabeth make their way towards the wheel at the other end.

Elizabeth Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Bria then tries to stop Elizabeth from stepping into the pit before her.
Bria Reflex: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13
Unable to stop Elizabeth, the rogue steps right off the blind edge and into a murky pit.
Elizabeth's Swim: 1d20 ⇒ 2
Elizabeth caught unaware is swallowed by the water immediately. Her head goes under water and she begins to sink.
Soon after Elizabeth is submerged, skeltons begin to rise from the water.

Skeleton's Initative: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16
Dressed in broken chain mail with rusty, chipped scimitar in their hand, the skeletons advance on the heroes.
SK1 moves from the corner of the room to intercept Bria.

Rising not far from Bria, SK2 takes a quick step next to the dwarf and attacks with sword and claw.

Another skeleton rises up in front of Bria, steps forward to attack her.

"Fall back. Once you get Liz out of there, let's use that pit to our advantage. "
Aldous tosses his lasso-rope past Gunder, hopefully landing near enough for Garuneh to grab.

Gunder casts his minor blessing on Garuneh. The druid then dives into the water to rescue his fallen friend. The light coming from the druid behinds and distorts the murky water around them. The druid tries to bring Elizabeth back to the surface.
Aldous's lasso lands right on top of the area that Garuneh dove into.

Elizabeth is unable to surface, but with Garuneh assisting her, she doesn't sink any further either.
Caught surprised by the skeletal uprising, Bria misses with her looping battle-axe swing.
Round 2
The parade of skeletons all move up in unison 5', attacking what is ever in their way like a swarm of ants.

The first skeleton moves into position to attack Aldous, but its swings are wild and jerky.
Only the third skeleton is able to find the small chink in Bria's armor with its claw. 4 pod to Bria All the remaining attacks are easily deflected by the dwarf's axe or stout armor.

Garuneh misses the lasso even though it is right in front of him, shrugs, and dives for Elizabeth. Barely.

Garuneh and Elizabeth break the surface of the water line. The hemp rope floats nearby but Garuneh is unable to grab it at the moment.
Aldous drops the lasso. He then quickly fingers an arrow and fires at the skeleton at the end of the line. Aldous's aim is off the arrow lands somewhere in the water before them.

Gunder grabs the rope dangling between Aldous's legs. o.O He then quickly casts Virtue and a light purple hue surrounds him.

The conga-line of skeletons continue. They move forward another 5'.

"Good news, Liz," says Garuneh, splashing around, "I know the perfect spell to attack the undead. The bad news is I didn't prepare it today. Perhaps we can lasso them in one by one into this pit. Once we are out."

Garuneh swims to where Liz was (assuming she got out), then, as an afterthought, shoots a surge of water to drag SK6 into the pit. "Let's see if you float, rattley-bones."

Elizabeth pulls herself out of the watery pit. As she stands up, the skeleton nearby takes a swing at her.

Garuneh then swims over to where Elizabeth was, allowing the skeletons on the pit's edge to get a free swing at him.

One is able to cut into Garuneh's shoulder. Blood begins to collect in the water. Then with a quick "come-hither" motion of his finger, the water rises up behind one of the skeletons, pulling him towards Garuneh. The bones skin silently to the bottom reaches unknown. 4 pod to Garuneh. SK 6 is out of the battle.
Aldous retreats back into the hallway behind Gunder.
Bria crushes another skeleton, awaiting the next in line.

The water in the hallway is not as deep as the previous rooms, Gunder falls back 20' from the room of "wheel and woe."
Round 4
The skeletons slosh through the brackish water, mindlessly continuing their assault.
The new leader attempts cut down the wet rogue.

A similar purple hue surrounds Aldous that also surrounds Gunder.
Another wave surges at the skeleton, but it is very small and barely breaks his balance. Garuneh is able to get out of the pit and makes his way into the hallway. As he passes one the skeletons, it takes a swing at him with his scimitar.

Bria turns and attacks the next skeleton (SK4). Bria looks a little pre-occupied with matters at hand. She has not reacted to any of the conversation up until now. She is a dwarven paragon of focus and battle fury.
