Sorry for the delay, Harath is finished.
Of note:
other than that, ready to play! :D

Let's see, I think a proper translation of Wild Arcana would be...
"As a swift action, you can expend one use of mythic power to manifest any one psionic power without expending psionic focus and/or paying power points. The power must be on one of your psionic power lists and must be of a level that you can manifest with that psionic class.
You don't need to have the power prepared, nor does it need to be on your list of powers known. When manifesting a power in this way, you treat your manifester level as 2 levels higher for the purpose of any effect dependent on level. You can apply any metapsionic feats you know to this power, or augment the power, but its total adjusted cost can't be greater than the highest cost for a power you can manifest from that psionic class."
In terms of flat-out augmenting... *Rubs chin* The way I see it, augmenting is effectively metamagic/metapsionics that applies to one particular psionic power. If you could increase something with metapsionics up to the highest cost you could pay (which is the obvious conversion in this case), I see no reason why you couldn't augment in the same way, so I added that bolded line up above. ^^ Also, augmenting could be compared to normal spells' tendency to get better with a higher caster level (since many powers seem more like flat abilities that can get better if you pay more), and keeping this kind of conversion in seems to fit better with the intent of both psionics and mythic powers.
---
In fact, if you're ever not certain about the conversion, just ask and I'll come up with something. XD
---
Traits are okay. ^^
---
As for mixing Unarmed Strikes and Natural Attacks, I don't know of any off the top of my head. In fact, looking through some other comments and threads on the issue, this seems to be a very deliberate act - in short, they're not really -meant- to be mixed. Of course, mixing things you're not supposed to is part of the fun of Gestalt builds. XD I think it depends on what, precisely, you're trying to do - there's a point where mixing powers will make you drastically more powerful (and much harder to properly challenge), and I'd really like to avoid that. If it was limited to JUST the Empowered Strikes' basic enhancement, I could probably go for that via a custom feat or something, but I'd rather not combine basically all the power of a Soulknife with the major power(s) from another class. XD That seems far too likely to break the system in ways hard to compensate for.

Harath |

Wild Arcana seems about what I was imagining.
As far as Empowered strikes and all that....
When I get off work today ill try to elaborate on everything to get to the bottom of it. Shouldnt matter immediately, anyway, I dont get Terrors yet.

H'ecks-pha-czu'whaugh |

H'ecks-pha-czu'whaugh wishes to inform you that you are her dream-boat (see what I did there?).
You, of course, may refer to her as Fae, Hefz, Hex, Jya, Xya, Heksfazia, Exfeyzua, or "oh wow", depending on your culture/language/accent/preferences.
You may show your gratitude later, Sleepy-Head. Right now, you have froggie things. So cute they are, with all that slime, and fat, and bloat, and warts, and tongues! Simply adorable... and delicious. I recommend the legs. Dipped in batter and fried. Or raw with the extra slime. Mmmmmmmmmmm.
(I'll be watching you, Harath. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaalways watching...)

Heksfazia, the Neverdemon |

Oh my total gosh! That's, like, so totally humiliating!
I can't, like, totally believe she'd, like, actually say that!
Ah! I don't like you at all!
I mean, like, I like you, but I don't, like, like you, like, you know? I mean, like, totally. And I'm totally not watching, probably, at least to the best of your knowledge, except now you know that I am, but, like, arg!
Unless, of course, like, you like that I like-like you, like, you know?
Um... Call me, sometime!

Tacticslion |

We apologize for the inconvenience and inanity. She apparently is pouring on the "ditz" act, for some reason. You may go back to your previously scheduled gaming and feel free to discuss or ignore at your option.

Tacticslion |

By the way, if anything in the above bothers you, I earnestly apologize; it's in the spirit of comradery and enjoyment. Mostly, I'm just saying that I'm enjoying your story and your character. It's really cool. The rest is just silly joking around on my part in-character.
To be clear, I'm the poster who made the Herald of All post. I'm following your stories because your characters are cool concepts.
If it helps to clarify things, "H'ecks-pha-czu'whaugh" and "Heksfazia" are two sides of the same character. She'll be switching forms a lot, and have slightly different personalities with the different forms. That said, though she's not an outsider, if you do ever get the chance to summon or call her, that'd be pretty funny awesome. She is not in your game at all.
Also, she very much so pretends to be less intelligent than she is. Helps people underestimate her and enables her to manipulate them more.
If you're interested in out-of-character discussions, I would be! I love psionics, so if you'd not beaten me to it, I'd have been all over the things you went for. Similarly, the choice of Harath is awesome in my book: in a face-to-face game, I play a kalashtar named Minharath who became king in Kingmaker (we're still going through that one), as a cerebromancer and crafter extraordinaire. I've run most of my 3.5 games with psionics allowed - really awesome system - so I'm glad to see it spread to mythic PF, too.
If I'm at all annoying, please let me know: it's not at all my intent.
I'm really looking forward to following your progress, unless you'd rather not, and I'd have a blast chatting with you about it on occasion, if you'd like. Either way, have great gaming, and God bless you! :D

Tacticslion |

Also, though they look the same, for some reason, clicking your link to your back-story doesn't work. I was able to find it easily enough, and I copy/pasted the url, though it looks the same as the one you've got now so... I don't know if replacing that one will fix it or what, but, for me at least, the one you had wasn't working. The url is below, as noted:
http://paizo.com/campaigns/TheForgottenGodTable1/recruiting&page=3#131
Hope that helps!

Harath |

Dang, glad those two 20s were blocked by fear.
this fight is tougher than I thought

Tacticslion |

Hey, Harath: I was hunting for my own character when I cam across this thing and thought it might be worth suggesting to both Sevia and/or Hadran... and then I thought you might be interested in looking into a psionic variant (especially considering the old 3.5 eidetic lock power). :D
EDIT: Heck, might as well share my own ideas, if you'd like 'em.

Harath |

Checking in, I don't have time for a good post before work but in 12 hrs or so I'll get a post up.
Need to think about what to do anyway.

Harath |

oh, which kind of armor did i get? affects my AC and i forgot to ask
if he got to pick, it would be a chain shirt or a hide shirt.

Tacticslion |

Sp, uh, GM and/or Harath, would it be untoward of me, if I chatted out-of-character with Harath... especially if that led to an in-character revelation? I could be wrong, but I think I have, uh, picked up on something Harath may (or may not) have missed. I could be mistaken, and I don't want to give advice where it's not needed or wanted! But I thought I'd offer...

Harath |

yeah. wouldnt surprise me if i missed something. very unsure where to go from here, heh.
maybe just wait a bit and kill this guy too.

Tacticslion |

Okay, well, um... I think you might have gotten the wrong guy and/or started a war. Everything about these people screams "lazy evil" to me: bad, but not the ones going to pillage and rule. I think you might have gotten the wrong villains. Certainly you killed the wrong target: he didn't look like the guy in charge of the human-enslavement group at all. Now they're all incensed. That may have caused more problems.
My suspicion, at least, is that whoever those frog-guys were, they weren't part of this group. Either outcasts, or a different tribe altogether: heck, it's possible they were even trying to start trouble for this group. I don't know. But I'm pretty sure you just ticked off a bunch of evil creatures that were unrelated to your original quest, and that handling these will not necessarily take care of those. Again: I might well be wrong, but, I figured you should know that I'm pretty strongly picking up these kinds of vibes.
EDIT: I mean, it's possible that I'm wrong, it's possible that the GM is secretly cackling with glee at the idea I just gave him, and it's possible that he's quietly retooling things in the background.
(It's, uh... it's also possible that all three of those are true. If so, uh, oops.)
Other options are possible. I've considered that these frog guys might be only loosely related to the other frog guys: maybe king frog, here, sent them to go enslave something, and the other ones chose you. I don't know: there're far too many possibilities for me to guess them all. But the one that the set-up screamed to me, at least, was that these frog people, while still (probably, possibly) evil, weren't an active evil. At least, not until you killed their king guy.
EDIT 2: This post by the GM, specifically, is what got me thinking this way, though their general lackadaisical attitude, and the completely shocked response of the king led me to believe the theory I've explained above.
EDIT 3: I mean, you can certainly live up to your standards as a god of nightmares by striking deep-seated fear into these guys... but, uh, I just thought you should know.

Harath |

Yeah. I had missed that, but knowing it now changes little.
I really don't know which way to go with it, although my general goal is to keep harrying them until they figure out that they should leave.

Tacticslion |

Ahah!
maybe king frog, here, sent them to go enslave something
... may have been correct! ... or not. As I said: there are too many possibilities, but it seemed like something you'd like to know, one way or the other.
I'm not really sure what you're build is, but you may find good utility in using some sort of weird noises or frightening imagery or something. Becoming a kind of unseen boogeyman... or a boogeyman that, if seen, is horrifying... to... frog... folk. I 'unno what that would be, though. Sorry I'm not more help!
Either way, I'm pretty sure our mutual GM is pretty rockin' on the responsiveness front. :D

Harath |

yeah, responsiveness is great!
too great, sometimes, but i only feel that way because i am at a loss as to what i should do.
but that makes sense in a way, some guy waking up after thousands of years just getting back into the groove of things

Tenro |

posting this in all 28 of my games (although some of them are dead, i am pretty sure... and others are quite slow so my absence will not be missed overmuch):
There are two hurricanes heading for Hawaii, where I live. One is supposed to land on Friday after being downgraded to a tropical depression, the other is supposed to land Sunday with experts unsure as to how much it'll be downgraded after colliding with the mountains.
I'm sure everything will be fine, so no need to worry. People are freaking out for some reason, but I remain in a state of relative readiness.
I anticipate a loss of internet, at a minimum (they can barely keep it together under optimal conditions). Likely loss of power as well. A time without electricity could last anywhere from four days to four months (with some time around one to two weeks being more realistic).
I'll be on between now and then, but if i just disappear, check the news, hahaha.

Tacticslion |

I'm praying for you to weather the storm* safely.
* Okay, look, it's... it's not supposed to be a pun, this time, I swear. It is a pun, but it's not meant that way. It's also literal, and, in fact, the origin of the phrase, and I've no idea how to say it differently.
I think 14 is my touch AC. Not sure if force screen counts, says it works against incorporeal touch which I dont know if that's a separate thing or not. In any event, im hoping the acid will burn the nets to keep me from being entangled.
In my reading, I'd say it counts, but it's up to a given GM (in this case GM Rednal!). Here's the relevant text, I'd say, after looking at mage armor (similar in function, if I recall my psionics).
EDIT: Actually, I don't recall my psionics - I was thinking of inertial armor, as it's been a while since I've run a full-fledged psionic game. Oops. After looking at Force Screen, it looks like this is the relevant text instead, and unfortunately, RAW, it's much more clear:
A shield bonus doesn't apply against touch attacks.
^ The last thing it says in that entry, after talking about the force effect.
Sorry! :/

Tacticslion |

so, how 'bout that dicebot?
are the others rolling as poorly as i am?
In a game I'm running, we've got a slogan we're thinking of making into a t-shirt (only half-jokingly).

Harath |

sorry, i will be caught up by tonight. this weekend was a four-day for me and i had intended to do a lot of things and ended up doing nothing.
just did a 5k this morning and the rest of the day is for updating characters.

Harath |

what were we doing for HP again?
+1 reflex
+1 will
+1 BAB
Some terrors can be augmented by spending power points, similar to manifesting powers, to increase their effect. When augmenting her terrors with power points, the dread cannot spend more power points than her manifester level on any single use of a terror.
A dread can use her terrors a total number of times per day equal to her dread level + her Charisma modifier.
All terrors may only be chosen once unless otherwise specified.
- - Incite Fear: The dread’s next successful attack incites fear in her target. The target must make a Will saving throw (DC 10 + 1/2 the dread’s class level + the dread’s Charisma modifier) or become shaken for 1d4 rounds. This is a mind-affecting fear effect.
1 more dread power known
1 more dread PP
2 more PP from INT
2 more psion powers known
4 more psion PP
2 more PP bonus from INT

Harath |

dang, had that on my sheet too and missed it.
i'll probably ask again next level.
anywho, ready to continue whenever you are, sorry for the wait.

Harath |

damnit, i really thought i was keeping a good list of loot for this character, but i cant seem to find it now.

Harath |

hmmm. all i've got?
- he just laughed off two attacks, one of which was an 18 on the die. my Improved Unarmed Strike is mythic, so other than blowing a point per attack, i am not sure what else i could do on that point.
- even with my mythic wild arcana, i still only have access to 1st level powers. scanning the list, i can think of very little that could help.
---------
my current and only idea is to grab something of sentimental value and threaten to destroy it if he doesn't stop.

Harath |

just typing things as they come to mind... might illustrate to you my thought process and you can see what hints of yours i have and have not picked up on...
i considered Fear Made Flesh, but it honestly doesn't give me much more than my regular attacks. On top of that, while i have a higher to-hit, the damage is laughably low... Not to mention if an 18 misses, i'd need to roll a 17 or higher to do better than that. finally, i was worried about others getting in here eventually with me in monster form when i am just trying to help these folks out.
i may be truly stuck, or simply not inventive enough at this juncture for an outside-the-box solution (other than the one i posed above).
- With my pretty-decent sense motive roll, i am surprised that i didn't sense a possession or enchantment.
- is he simply insane?
- was my looking at a book a red-button for him?
- his daughter is already gone, so how could i take her?
- the moans became louder as he attacked, so i thought possession.
- the fear in his eyes i took to be a result of the intimidation i did.
- i took the fear of the subjects in this place to be due to the haunting, but now i am thinking maybe it is due to the dude being addled and dangerous.
- i wasted valuable time trying to play nice with this guy, didnt attack him first turn, and now can't penetrate his armor except on a VERY good roll.
- considering using Mind Thrust or something similar, although if he is manifesting these powers, i imagine he has significant mental defenses, and i won't survive many rounds of him saving versus my abilities. as it stands, this is the only option i really see aside from (or perhaps in conjunction with) grabbing an item of sentimental value and threatening it.
- the problem with that idea is, trying to calm him down runs contrary to keeping myself alive, and both would run contrary to solving this case.

GM Rednal |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |
-Indeed, you didn't sense a possession or enchantment. The reason for that is the most likely one.
-That depends on how you define insanity...
-Yes.
-Good question. ^^
-Not unreasonable, but not the only answer.
-Absolutely right - fear because of the Intimidation.
-You'll learn soon enough.
-I think I've spent too much time at Table 2. *Coughs awkwardly* The player there has a very high chance to hit, and we've just been going through a gauntlet tournament. XD;
-I won't usually give out hints this big, but I honestly didn't realize that his AC would be a bit too high. So... try breaking the bookcase.

Harath |

hah, i feel like i've either made some wildly poor character choices or these fights are playing strictly to my weaknesses.

Harath |

I'll try to get him leveled up this weekend. Woo, 2nd level powers!
would that encounter have likely killed me? just wondering, hahaha
