Now it might sound crazy like why would you in your right mind score a critical hit on yourself but that's kind of the point, the character is not very sane to begin with.

A Zon kuthon bloodrager with the Kython bloodline gains a strength bonus after taking a critical hit. Logicaly speaking what's stopping me from grabbing my sword and impaling myself through so to achieve the maximum amount of pain and go pardon the pun "beyond the edge" using Agony’s Embrace (Su)?

The question is can I purposely score a critical hit on myself or do I have to roll an attack roll and hope I score High? I'd say if the masochistic barbarian wants to open his own vein and take 50 damage to activate a power then let it.

Proxy summoning and familiars can deliver spells for you the big question however is how sharesister work related to this.

Sharesister

When you deliver the spell, you receive a negative level for the duration of the spell, and the other target receives a +1 insight bonus to her caster level and a +1 insight bonus to the save DCs of all of her spells. At 11th level, you can opt to take four negative levels to grant a +2 insight bonus to the other target’s caster level and spell save DCs if you wish, while at 17th level you can take 6 negative levels to increase the insight bonus to +3. Any effect that removes or prevents the negative level immediately ends the sharesister spell. Negative levels received from the spell vanish as soon as this spell effect ends. Negative levels from multiple castings of this spell stack.

Would a familiar or Summon actualy take the negative level in your stead when delivering Sharesister in wich case could you have a bunch of summon purposely inflict themselves negative level to bolster your own spellcasting power?

The title resume it all. When a foe attempt to break out of a grapple using a CMB check is this a specific combat maneuver using VS grapple CMD or strait out just the Base CMD of the character? How do you calculate your CMD against someone trying to break out of a grapple?

This may sound like a weird question but can the rider of a charging mount do a full attack with a thrown weapon?

Ahem let me rephrase this. I am a merfolk and my greatest joy in life is to force underwater combat on people ill prepared for it such as red dragons or non spellcasting air breathing creatures so I flood the dungeon over(yep gm to hell with your dungeon its an underwater adventure now). We both are Immersed in a 40 feet wide circular area of water from floor to ceilling I can breath water and he can't. Now what happen to him if I suffocate him. In the case of rising water theres no such thing as total cover as we both are immerged.

What about a widen 40ft large area of rising water though? But yea air is expeled on first failed save does this start drowning them?

As the title say what would happen if I happened to be this very malicious hydrocaster who casted suffocate on someone who just got caugh in my aquaeus orb or in an area spell such as rising water. Instant drowning or uncounciousness regardless of a won or failed save due to having no air? Suffocate explicitely says that it expulse held breath no mather if you save or not.

Okay so frog shifter got the tongue ability at up to 30 feet reach. Do any opponent grappled by the tongue always has to be yanked right next to our somewhat vulnerable hero or can I be an absolute jerk and perform grapple combat maneuver at a safe distance? If it works like frog do monsters arent auto pulled so to use a feat like neck slicer id have to move to them or use the pull feature wich for some reason is missing from our dear shifter.

Note that performing the move grapple maneuver would likely still allow me to closr the distance while dealing damage. Likeeise since I aint grappled myself id guess I could just move around as a regular move actions

Implying a high level monster was soul binded into a gem, A cleric casted false ressurection greater purposely failing to pass the spell resist check in the middle of a circle of protection from evil and a witch wizard or other able caster casted possession greater could the body be used like a permanant flesh suit?

The thing with firewall though is that monsters too can jump in to heal themselves. The moment you toss a aoe fire spell its like channel energy, you heal everyone unless you cast with the Selective spell metamagic.

So as it happen you can heal from 50% of fire spell damages. So whats exactly stopping a phoenix sorcerer from becoming frontline tank by grabbing himself a protector familiar to artificialy increase its healthpool then drop any lasting fire spell on its position (flaming sphere or in this case maximised empowered Ball lightning (Fire)) to heal him and his familiar for 18d6+ or so about per round? If we go all the way down to get Angelic aspect greater, Giant shape into a troll and use Fiery body I think we in for some automatic health pool facetanking troll?

Can't someone give the actual details regarding the phoenix bloodline and how it function?

Could a shifter using a shield as part of greater weapon shift benefit from the bashing enchantment?

What does the medusa and Sphinx blood rager get specificaly? Heck what of unicorn sorcerer?

Are those bloodlines bloodragers exclusive or will we get to see it for sorcerer as well?

I simply could not find relevant information regarding this question but can a character possessing both these ability charge great cleave and full attack all at the same time?

Does the act of changing wild shape reset shifter rage round to 20 like form of the dragon doss breath weapon?

So in short no mather what I do I have to paint myself as a sitting duck and let myself be full attacked just so I can start pinning?

My question goes as fellow. In the fellowing eventuality could I Pin a foe in a single round via fast grapple.

1. Charged dealth damage and successfully grabbed.

2. Full attacked dealth damage and grabbed.

3. Attacked once and Grabbed with move action and swift left.

In short does the grab ability allows to use fast grapple in the same round?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Once again Paizo fails to deliver shifter wise. You can now pay 3 feat to basicaly gain the benefit of an amulet of natural weapon+5. You may also combine two Major form but will and I quote receive no new natural attack or movement change thus what exactly does this apply to?

1. Bonus feat like flyby attack useless for non flyers well I guess if you use some item you could play a flying bear?
2. Weird feature like rage from wolverine.

Finaly the fey shifter and dragon shifter major form last in minute increment, was giving hour increment duration even this difficult?

Seems for all this book promise the only viable shifter remains the adaptive one wich somewhat ironicaly uses next to none of these new features

Does shifter flurry gives iterative attacks at 11 and 15 if player crossclass out of the shifter class or does this ability requires 16 level of shifter to work at all. Do get me that I'm desperately trying to find a viable build out of 20 level adaptive shifter right now preferably with base shifter so I'm looking at ways of using the flurry.

So heres the scenario my character gains 1 lvl as a weretouched wolverine shifter then take 2 lvl into unchained barbarian for rage powers.

Once my shifter lvl reaches 8 will I gain chained or unchained rage power. Furthermore will shifter barbarian lvl stack with unchained barbarian levels to determine rage power efficiency. Finaly does Extra rage power grants chained or unchained barbarian powers.

What exactly happen if I suddenly lose my race from reincarnation as a dragon disciple oracle kobold? Do I suddenly lose all class benefit including prestige class due to the fact that ''Scaled Disciple'' is a kobold reserved feat?

I would require the Natural Spell Feat if the magical beast wasn't sufficiently humanoid to believably perform somantic components.

Bodies like Centaurs with obviously humanoid vocal range, arms and hands shouldn't need Nature Spell. Even mostly humanoid forms that can speak any humanoid language should be fine.

But Manticores, Chimera, and Androsphinx? They might be able to handle the vocal components but certainly not the somantic components the Oracle is trained to use. That I would definitely require Natural Spell for.

I posted Androsphinx because the guy clearly has a spell list (not spell likes) similar to how for some hilarous reasons naga can cast witheout hands. Heck Kirin can to and he only has hooves. Lammasu also cast oracle spells with his lion paws for some reasons.

If you were an actual magical beast that gained class levels you would of already worked out somantic components that work for you. But you are instead an Oracle that takes on a form that is not natural to you. Your character doesn't have sufficient experience to cast spells in the assumed form. That experience would be represented as a feat or class ability that allows you to cast spells in those alternate forms.

i.e. if you want the ability, pay the feat tax.

In short I'm doomed to multi class 4 time as druid for natural spell or to use still spell and be forced into constantly casting as full round or via quicken spell. Geeze paizo could have given druids a magical beast archetype.

So I happen to have a high level oracle of the moon capable of shapeshifting into magical beast and now comes the murder question wich is can magical beast actualy cast spells at all?

I did read the blink dog scenario. Kirin also is stated to be able to cast cleric and sorcerer spells but what about a nekomata a manticore or a chimera? To resume... still spell yes or no. As a reference to cat Androsphinx also can cast spells.

Consider using this spell instead.

Globe does not create water it only calm the water around you. That's been my first option until I discovered it would not work.

And what if I'm a merfolk with natural swim speed and underwater breathing? I was thinking of using this similar to Seamantle but with the total cover benefit. Note I did consider doing the same with Aqueous orb but unlike the elemental said orb automaticaly inflict non lethal damage id rather not take albeith easily negated with fluid form.

The elemental doesn't need to move while I bombard people with non fire (or lightning) spells from inside its belly. I'm considering the elemental as a stationnary huge size mobile aquarium of pure (albeith living) water for my personnal swimming conveniance.

I personnaly do not think a water elemental capable of performing swallow whole due to its ability to use Vortex instead. And by all logic a body of still water isn't exactly capable of grappling.

In the event I summon a water elemental of size large or above could I just jump inside and use the water elemental body (wich is made of water) as if submerged in a body of water applying all the rules relative to underwater combat including total cover?

So I've read a lot of tutorial online about this and yea. Can't deny shifters seems to have issues but recently had a few ideas.

6 level of oozemorph (yea you stop leveling it at that point)

14 level of menhir guardians.

Why for? Well you can gain flurry of blows as a monk with your natural weapon as well as the benefit from monk dodge AC and shifters claws that scale of unchained monk level added to your natural weapon damage.

I see absolutely no advantage to going the full 15 level for an extra natural attack. So wait I have... 3 attack from flurry of blow/or something else depending on the monk, ki powers that also scales of wisdom and wisdom armor all on a shifter. Almost look like shifter was made to stack with monk, what about feral combat training. Is everything above right?

They need to make a dragon based shifter or give it an erata thatd give it bonus feats or something else. As it stands its barely better then fighter.

That said any way to make the ritual simple to obtain? Just happen my only way to get info regarding it is the use of summon monster/my fiendish obediance. Book seems very keen on the fact the knowledge isn't that common.

Well, let's do the math. I'm not sure how you're getting access to Flame Blade spell, so I'm just going to presume that you're somehow getting it via your Bard spellcasting.

Let's presume you're a Succubus Oracle 1 / Bard 15 (which is equivalent to a 20th level character of a regular race), and have a total of 44 charisma. That gives you 1d8+24 damage per hit with your flame blade.. Presuming you have 30 dexterity, that gives you +29/+24/+19/+14 attack against touch AC. That's 95% accuracy against most foes, for an average of 108 DPR. This puts you comfortable in the green range of the 20 level benchmarks, which is fairly good.

So overall this seems to hit good damage benchmarks at 20th, and the only big concern here is that you're locking yourself into purely fire damage, which means against fire-immune or fire-resistant enemies you will need a backup plan.

Elemental spell metamagic? Also yea voice of the wild get druid spell access from archtype features.

I'm finding the Oozemorph has potential as a dip (with a heavy dose of RAI to clear up all the mechanics)...but there isn't much reason to stay with it for more than a few levels.

Obviously you stop leveling oozemorph the moment you got your last natural attack and go spec in something else perhaps even a spellcasting class to gain invisibility or healing

Id say Oozemorph shifter has potential. So long as you manage to get an amulet of the fist +5 you can make a dual wielder build with 4 main hand attacks 3 off hand attacks and 4 secondary natural weapon. Thats a lot of strikes.

Ok so lets get it straith, I'm playing an evil bard who worship a demon lord who happens to prety much turns my charisma to armor. I'm a voice of the wild archtype I have 1 level in oracle just for the secret of dexterity to charisma revelation and int to cha on knowledge so I can easily do the four part ritual all the way to succubushood.

That said I'm straith out learning the feat flame blade dervish as well as the spell flame blade from the druid spell list. How viable would that be for post level 15 content up to going after stuff like post level 20 epic bosses because my DM is kind of merciless.

Asking this because apparently Sarenrae gives tons of buffs I won't have access to.

Ok so I have a watersinger however im concerned about the use of waterstrike and spells like shadowbard and virtuoso performance wich allows to maintain multiple performance all at the same time witheout paying any cost. Would it be possible to waterstrike multiple time per round by controlling several cube using shadowbard and virtuoso performance?

I believe it takes souls something like a few hundred years to transform normally, so it'd be a heck of a resurrection spell to bring them back. Plus, once they've transformed, they aren't really dead anymore. In addition, resurrection spells restore you to your original body. The transformation is a natural process that happens to many people going to a plane, not something granted exclusively as a class feature.

Whats the point mentionning it in the class feature for then? If its an automatism cant the guy just ask the party to wait a year and then summon him/her to the plane via planar binding to resume helping?

All 3 of these class have a feature that makes it so your character dies it is suposed to ''reincarnate as an outsider'' in due time. How as a DM should i consider this, should the player be able to join back in game as an outsider of the appropriate CR after death if summoned by another player?

exemple: Blessed (Ex) Upon a mystery cultist's death, her soul appears in the good Outer Planes. In time, her soul will transform into an agathion, angel, archon, or azata. If the mystery cultist is successfully resurrected, she may immediately gain the answer to any one question as if she had cast contact other plane and reached her empyreal lord patron. The mystery cultist need not succeed at an Intelligence check to avoid a decrease in Intelligence or Charisma. The empyreal lord is treated as an “intermediate deity of the Outer Planes”—treat any “lie” result as “don't know” instead.

due to this ability my CR 10 Chaotic good mystery cultist player would join back as a lillend.

I considered the fact spells like wish and even rituals could do this kind of thing (see the ritual to becoming a full demon in lord of chaos) and tought that a class feature offering this kind of effect wasnt such a bad idea long as its controlled.

This is a mather of interpretation but what is paizo standing about this?

The greatest question of all for lycanthropic character is to know if a character who hunt during the night either as an afflicted or natural Lycantrope wake up in the morning with the fatigued conditions. Since said character is somewhat forced to shapeshift and based on the myth id assume your pet wolf is feeling rested and full in the morning from its recent kill yet my DM says since no rule says the werewolf doesnt need sleep a werewolf is constantly fatigued.

Of course id assume any night a werewolf doesnt hunt said werewolf sleep such as on new moons.

Im playing a Skinwalker evolved to natural lycantrope from a pact with Jezelda.

The corpse rider class feature seems to stipulate you can raise anything quadrupedal of large or medium size as a mount

-If the undead mount ability is selected, the seal-breaker gains the ability to reanimate any Large corpse (or a Medium corpse for Small seal-breakers) as his corpse mount.-

-The corpse animates as a quadruped of the same size that the seal-breaker can ride, regardless of the corpse's living form.-

It does not say if said quadruped remains able to fly and use spell like ability so does it mean i could just beat the crap out of a living dragon of large size and or an unicorn and take it as my mount totaly ignoring the use of feats such as ''monstruous mount'' and ''monstruous companion''?

Sure it says ''same base statistic as a horse etc'' but does it goes as far as flight speed and supernatural ability?
