Fighter Favored Class +1CMD vs maneuver apply on foe trying to break grapple?

Rules Questions

The title resume it all. When a foe attempt to break out of a grapple using a CMB check is this a specific combat maneuver using VS grapple CMD or strait out just the Base CMD of the character? How do you calculate your CMD against someone trying to break out of a grapple?

When you use a combat maneuver check to escape a grapple you make a grapple combat maneuver check, so any bonus against grapple to your opponents CMD applies. However if you use the Escape Artist skill to escape a grapple, it is against the opponents base CMD.

If your opponent uses the combat maneuver to try and escape/reverse your grapple your bonus vs CMD applies.

I count it, but the person trying to break out also gets their bonuses to grapple on the roll to escape. It’s less clear if they are making an escape artist check what applies. I’m trying to remember if Mark Seifter addressed this in his Ask Mark episode on grappling or not.
