At this point you realize you're beating a dead unicorn.
... When the Barbarian Hulking Hurler throws a counter at a wizard?
Thanks, but as I own no PF books (no space and no budget), PFS is right out.
Hi!
mature player looking for a regular game to join
44 yrs old, been gaming since I'm 16. Looking for a monthly game (I have an infant and a non-gaming SO who teaches music from home evenings and weekend afternoons, so monthly is my limit right now)
I would be available starting in January 2015, Friday nights and possibly Saturday evenings.

They don't. It's "magic". There are some rare class abilities (infiltrator inquisitor, low templar...) that cause magic effects to treat you as another alignment

Also, dumbest [evil] tag in the universe. Dunno... Might be a tie with deathwatch...

You know your GM is out to get you when the GM eyes you coveteously and calls you "preciousssss".
Flower bomb: the ultimate tuxedo mask effect...
As for a flour bomb, I think an enclosed space is required... Making it unsuitable as an adventurer etfect. I think this would be an environmental hazard, like swamp gas.

You know your GM is out to get your wizard when every opportunity to rest is interrupted.
You know your GM is out to get your paladin when you fall from grace for not trying to redeem the baby-eating demon.
You know your gm is out to get your conjurer/summoner when every 2-bit rogue and spellcaster has a scroll of banishment.
You become a character from Bleach?

Better no game than a bad game
Indeed. This qualifies as an OOC problem and needs to be discussed with your players. In the past, I've turned it around and asked the players to explain why their characters are "there" and why they'd be interested in helping. Even loners hAve reasons to help.

Anti-paladins, as written, are cartoon, mustash twirling bad guys.

The type of action is most likely "wasteful"
1) last option: No. That's a GM penalizing a player (not a character) for making a selection the GM allowed.
2) Are you looking to punish the player or the character? Seems like the player can RP. So ask the player how he thinks his character can repay not only the theft, but everyone's good name
3) sandpoint is like Mayberry: jail is to give the town drunk a chance to sober up. Don't bother. Unless thenplayer is absent for the next session
4) whatever you do, advance the story with it.
It's better than the developers being forbidden t discuss things with fans, because a fan might sue if that fan perceives that their idea might have been used (plagiarism).

I have a great interest in home brewing. That can result in the best beer and wine...
blackbloodtroll wrote: No DM is going to give a player that kind of money, and power, at first level. Impoverished scions of nobility. Just because you're born a noble doesn't mean you have anything more than a fancy title.
Any class can be justified...the brawller punched out the wrong person in Magnimar and is now in sandpoint letting things "cool down". A hunter is in town, looking to hook up with his/her on again-off again lover (shalelu or one of the others)...
The "scroll" has a caster level associated with it.
The longspear/spiked gauntlet seems to be popular among certain clerics, and I would assume summoners and alchemists.

Op:
1) your gm insulted you and resorted to name-calling
2) he is specifically trying to invalidate your build.
For the first item, I would just leave. But then, I'm in my 40's, and I don't hang with brats. For the second item, well, that wouldn't be an issue. I'd be gone already.
I've walked out of more than one game in the past with a gm rage shouting (with spittle) that HE was in charge of the game. Thier games didn't last long afterwards. And yes, I would then sit behind the screen myself. With said former gms as players, sometimes.
So walk, man. The most polite thing I can say is that your playstyles don't match.
The major sticking point fir the lantern archon and the reason fir the flying helmet is the unlimited teleport, IMO. Ask your gm if you can get a lantern archon, but one that violated rules/failed a orevious mission so that it's basically sentenced to serve a mortal, it's ability to teleport stripped away or gimped so that it can only teleport within 30' of you. It's laser will soon be out classed by everything, though, unless there's a possible progression.
In a world full of magic, i think you'd be hard pressed to find a real earth style war. Please define what you mean by conventional b
Well, what are you looking for? Best imp familiar I know is the faerie dragon, as it has sorcere levels andcan use wizards/sorc wands without UMD.
For 3rd party, I'm partiAl to gravity elementals. Small black hole that follows you around...
Elementalist also comes to mind. Being able to change your shocking grasp yo cold, fire or acid on the spot is handy.
Sadly, afaik, thedevs haven't come out with a formal ruling in regards to crafting and the black blade. Check with your gm. There's a major thread about this you can find somewhere on the messageboards.
That's from a 3rd party, I think. A true healbot! Ask your gm.
So... Going to ask the gm for a custom feat to allow flurry with a whip?
"Your soul is MINE!" <smootch!>
Gorum. Not for the sake of freedom, but for the lulz and struggling against a superior, entrenched foe.
Did that in a CoT game. Priest of Gorum, whose goal was to wrest control of the Children as a good moment andcause Westcrown to seperate or fall into chaos. Then he'd leave, having done his duty
You're treated as if on solid ground. You just trip. It's kinda like on Bleach. They don't fly, just use their spiritual energy to stand and walk on air
A man-of-the -people monk of the empty hand (or suitable brawler) who uses everyday items and shows that anyone canstand up to evil and oppression.

The mechanic exists. Just reflavor it.

Maybe the OPs group is composed of MPAA and RIAA lawyers?

The POINT of getting crafting feats is to either make stuff which is not available because the GM decided that there is no magic shop (which we don't have in your game) or to make stuff you can't buy.
Actually, the point of the crafting feats is double your "Wealth By Level". You see, balance wise, every character is supposed to have certain amounts of value in gear at certain levels. These can be found in the Game-mastering chapter of the book. The crafting feats let you double your WBL, by having items valued at half their normal cost, via the crafting rules. It has even been stated that party members aren't supposed to benefit from one person having the feat, their items should still be valued at full cost for WBL, but I don't think many GM's actually enforce that.
WRONG. you do not double WBL unless you ONLY receive coins, trade goods, gems and jewelery. Magic items are sold at 50%, you craft at 50%. 0-sum.
This fallacy comes up too often.
