Here's Philo's submission.

Zaaka is a goblin, but he's not the silly singing type. At first it looks like he's sneering, but then you realize that he has to keep his lips curled. His teeth are sharp, but it seems that most of them have fillings of odd metals, a couple have been replaced by broken holy symbols, and still more things are wedged into spaces or bound by wire.

Still more of these strange things have been pounded into his armor, studding it with exotic metals and relics. His left hand has a chain bound tightly around it with some strange crystal.

He is always tense, turning his head to look into corners where nothing's there. Sometimes he holds conversations with invisible things. Rumors have been spreading around the city about this strange surly greenskin. More and more, he's been looking towards the Fogfen.

One conversation has been spread through the town. "You think I do this for Fun!?! You don't know the half of it. The world is teeming with unquiet spirits and places where reality is thin. You don't even know about the dead girl out in the street fifty feet from here. She was hit by a cart and was still trying to crawl free to get her kitten until I put her to rest. I see dead people, and I see the things that aren't dead because they were never born! They push at the skin of the world and try to get in. When I see them, they sometimes see me, so I've had to learn how to stop them. There's something unnatural out there right now! I feel it, and it's going to come for the city unless somebody stops it. I don't want to have to do these things, but if I don't, the people who get killed will come for me. So get out of my face and go back and sit in the safe little world that people like me fight for."

He has the seer of the dead background.
While he's surly, he understands that not many people are willing to face the unnatural and he's going to work to keep them safe as well as he can. I do like feedback on the roleplaying to make sure the players are all having fun even when the characters disagree.


Zaaka looks down disappointedly as Skrelznit starts to do it the non-smashy way.


Zaaka will fetch a line and toss it overboard. Either they'll be bringing the blue-clad attacker up or he'll be going down.


Zaaka works to finish off the one with the electric cloud.

Zaaka screams as he becomes a bounding ball of spikes bouncing off the nearest foe.

I see chandeliers on the map! Almost as if they expected a swashbuckler.

Zaaka slips between people to the wall. Unfastening the rope holding the chandelier, he lets it crash to the ground, pulling him up to the ceiling! "Wheeeeee-haw!"

Zaaka will attempt to help tell the tale, but get confused and sort of peter off.

the -2 makes them equal, which just misses the parry.

"AAOWW!" he exclaims at getting slammed. "Now I'm mad!"
He spins into a poking fury to try and take down the big guy.

Zaaka bounds up to the deck, spinning and twisting. With a grin he stabs in with his tail at the oversized lout.

If you have a climb speed, you get a +8 racial bonus to climb skills, so even if you don't use it, it's good.


Zaaka was already drinking flaming drinks, of course. And dancing on tables.

Zaaka's eyes will go wide. "It's cursed!" and he will back away. Sassara will look at Quinn, "Anything you can do about it? If not we leave it behind."


Zaaka hurls himself at it, tail and spikes tearing at the undead.

He reaches out his head to bite it, then stops and pulls back. It was probably off.


Zaaka approaches the mummy from the other side, ready to parry any attacks it makes.

Sassarra holds ready to blast it if it attacks.


Zaaka spins out of the way of one claw, but gets caught by the second.

He then continues to spin, thrusting his spiked body against the creature.

Zaaka will drink a potion and then motion for us to move on.

Do we have a healing wand, as well?


"He was pretty nasty. I guess even big heroes need to face some hard challenges!" He seems to turn himself around at that. "Let's go kill some more fish-people!"

Don't worry. It also plays into that Zaaka is young and headstrong and that was a pretty nasty beating. If we do have a healing wand, I think I can go on even with the ability damage.


He does look back, but he still seems a bit wary. "I'm not mighty. I almost died."


"Go 'way."

Zaaka opens his mouth to respond, but all that happens is a couple hitches of his chest. He turns and swims away toward the back of the cavern, not looking back.


"You get stuck by it and then tell me how it's just a weapon!" He calls. He tries stretching out his muscles to work out this magical tightness, but they aren't getting any better. "It did something to me. I can't move right."


"th-thanks." says Zaaka. He still seems a bit shaky and is hurt a bit. He points at the trident. "That's an evil thing."

Does the slow expire?


Zaaka gasps in pain and pulls back towards Quinn.

Zaaka smiles at Skrelsnit's thirst for vengeance. "Three strong ones. Three of us. Let's sneak closer."

Zaaka swims forward using his fins and barrels into the nearer fishman as a big spiky ball.

Zaaka loves crab. He'll gesture form he and Skrelznit to stay just out of his reach and then have Sassara zap it. He'll gesture to see if the others like this plan.


Zaaka spins around, chopping off all of the flower heads, cutting up the vines and stamping on them.


Zaakara will head in to begin chopping at the vines with his tail.

Zaaka will drink one of the potions of water breathing we got, climb down and put on his swim fins. (assuming we are not immediately attacked)

Sassarra will pass a potion of Water Breathing to Quinn, but she doesn't need on for herself, she'll then climb down.


Zaaka will tie off a rope to a tree above so that they can lower themselves into the water.


Yes, they will start digging.


"They don't speak dragontongue, silly." he tells Skrelznit. then he starts to clear away the dirt. "Maybe they buried it. Should we dig?"


It's all up to Huek in finding the adventure.

Zaaka rushes outside to find more invaders to kill. "Come at me, squishy hyoomans!"

Zaaka leaps upon the intruder! "Die, fleshy bastard!"

Grapple check. Probably no AoO because the intruder is flatfooted when on the ladder.

I'm thinking that suddenly having 65 pounds of spiky, bitey kobold (+gear) on him is going to make it hard to stay on the ladder. Zaaka's okay with that. He's probably going to take the falling damage, but the human will take falling damage and armor spike damage!

If they do end up falling.
As they hit with a crunch and a spurting of blood, Zaaka lets go and rolls to his feet.

Release grab as a swift action. Kip-up to stand as a swift.

Zaaka pops his spikes with a gleeful grin and hurls himself down the stairs. "Die invaders!" He'll attack the first invader he see.
