Our group consisted of just 3 PC's which we usually do for pathfinder and generally don't have a lot of trouble, fights are a bit tougher but nothing to rough. However that said we found Starfinder to be much tougher. Even for 4 players as others have mentioned here.
Especially with boss fights. Also it seems according to our GM the boss info is vague ours said their stat sheets seemed to be lacking. Then just the fact that bosses were pretty rough. And we didn't have any shock weapons and we just stopped as it would have been a TPK. Our GM was frustrated at just how OP the boss was, even again just having 3 PC's even 4 we'd have wiped.
I think possibly if characters where 1 lvl higher possibly 2 in our case with just 3 players it would have been better?
In anycase it does seem as though the Starfinder Adventure thus far is much tougher than it should be?
I don't know if this has been brought up or not... I did see one post about weird timed events and then it being fixed. Though I'm still seeing some strange timed events and a lack there of events during times.
So there are some listed as Saturday night as copied below.
Pathfinder Society Scenario #9–16: Fallen Family, Broken Name (For Levels 1–5)Sunday night, 1:00–6:00 am • Grand Ballroom
So is this 1am-6am? I'm just curious because in past years there wasn't anything in this time.
My other question/concern is there is nothing or very little listed for a time between 1pm-6/7pm on any of the days. Also I don't seem to see anything as far as panels and such listed at all.
My friends and I are eagerly awaiting the opening of the sign up raffle for events/games etc. Though I'm having a bit of trouble running the new site. Seems on Edge and Chrome the site just seems to reload on me over and over and nothing actually loads. I have similar issue with my phone.
So now I'm using IE11 and seems to be ok.
Any word on when signups will start? And is there a link to the place where it will be to easily navigate to it should we still be having issues with the site and at a device without IE11?
Glad to hear you'll be coming back to PaizoCon this year, Wolverine!
If your Venture-Captain's contact email isn't working, try contacting your Regional Venture-Coordinator. You can find out who yours is at the top of this page, and find the contact email further down the page. Let the RVC know about your missing Chronicle sheets and the non-working email, and he should be able to get everything sorted out for you.
I'm glad I'm able to make it again thanks to a friend.
I attempted to email the local area Venture Capt but his email doesn't seem to be valid anymore. I sent him a msg on here and as of yet not heard back. How up to date or verified is the list of people?lol
That’s great! That should make it easier for someone to help you out with new chronicle sheets. You can find your local Venture Captain here or someone may stop by this thread shortly!
Cool thanks, hopefully someone does... :)
Looks like I will be going to Paizocon again this year thanks to a friend and wanted to play my character again, also my friend is going to a PSF game Friday night and hoping to go as well.
Yes I did, I have the sessions/games I played and the dates from my acct on here. Also tells me who ran the games. What do I need to do to get them replaced or info from them?
So I have only played PFS at Paizocon in 2016. I didn't think I'd ever get to do PSF again. I think I tossed my sheets from completing the 4 sessions I did with my character. I have my character still saved on my pc. but I never updated anything with him. I found the sessions I did but I am not seeing a way to see what I earned as far as gold and what things I could by and their prices from each one. Is there a way to find out?

Just emailed customer service as well about this. But I totally just miss clicked and didn't realize I did until afterwards that 1 of the PDF's I clicked was the wrong one. I am hoping that can be corrected. I had wanted to get the Advanced Class & Race guide but selected Advanced Race & Players guide in error. I have not downloaded either pdf as of yet.
thanks & sorry I blame allery meds for the mix up.lol
Yeah having open buildings then including a page or 2 or whatever cutout roofs would be awesome. Having the most with closed houses down help you from drawing as you'd now have to draw the inside of the buildings.

Won't have time to try any PFS games before hand I wish I did, but I don't mind the concrud... I may just make him straight human then just to avoid any issues.
If you want to throw up a character we can take a look at it.
Well, as a player getting concrud is bad. When the DM starts getting concrud and can't tell fantasy from reality hallucination fantasy from the other fantasy they can loose the new guys a little.
You can be from the region, it probably won't come up. The PDfs are a legal source and cheap, for 10.04 cents you can buy something and then print out the page you need.
But that's the best when the GM starts seeing us as true enemies they must kill and they hop on the table and start trying to through fireballs, magic missiles or whatever at us. then in turn we start tossing dice, empty cans etc at them. Awe fun times... hahahaha
how do I through up a character? I use HeroLabs and have them done up on there. is there a place to post the PDF here? Or I'm fine emailing it to someone to check out. Definitely would like to have them legit for the games I'm in vs having to use a premade one.
I would highly recommend trying a game or two before paizocon, it can be confusing enough when you can hear someone clearly , when they have more time, and without the early stages of con crud setting in.
Won't have time to try any PFS games before hand I wish I did, but I don't mind the concrud... I may just make him straight human then just to avoid any issues.
If you're picking a human ethnicity, be sure to clarify to the GMs at the Con that it's only fluff and that your not using it as a prerequisite for any feats or languages.
Yeah it would be for "Fluff" character look/presence I guess as it were, though Language would play into it as he would than speak that language.
And no, I currently now have 3 PSF characters I've made, a Slayer, Ranger and a Sorcerer.
As stated in the title, I am new to trying PFS. Going to be trying out my hand with this at Paizocon and am working on a couple characters of my own for lvl 1.
Now reading through the PFS Guide I see that you have to have all the books for whatever you are using. (ie. Classes, Races, feats etc.) I'm curious though if this would extend to everything even minor things like ethnicity to a human character? I was looking at having a Tian-Shu human. Though I do not have the book(s) for this particular ethnicity. So is that ok or no?
I'm also curious on Deity's, am I able to use one I do not have a book for?
question/clarification, "3PP materials okay with approval." ???
If you want to use third-party Pathfinder RPG compatible material (in other words, stuff not made by Paizo), I am okay with it as long as your character sheet is submitted to me for approval.

Another curiosity: Will this utilize Golarion as the setting or the Greyhawk defaults Shackled City used from Core 3.X?
Golarion, as that's the setting I am more familiar with (now, at any rate).
Cool thanks for info, pretty excited hoping I get into a few of these games. So for Max starting gold just to clarify you mean for whatever the max is for that class at lvl 1 correct?
Another buddy question if you and your buddy have a few different choices where 1 puts a 4 and the other puts a 0 or no selection and has another selection of their choice as a 4. Will that tell the system they obviously don't wanna buddy for those events?
Also I'm curious, what kind of funds (GP) are we allowed for gearing our Gladiator Beasts? As far as weapons, armor etc. We are allowed to gear them with weapons as long as they could reasonably hold such a weapon?
ie. a creature with hands & fingers clawed or not could hold a sword of an appropriate size. Where as a creature with say a hoof or something similar could not?
Armor we assuming would be tailor made for said creatures unless they are incapable of wearing armor like goo's or ghosts and the like?
I don't know if everyone is good or if there is still some issues with single/double bedded rooms. But FYI I just changed my room from 2 queen beds to a single king as could not get anyone to room with me & I sure as heck didn't need 2 beds. So just in case there was anyone still in need of a 2 queen bed room call soon before it's gone. :)
So with the Weclome to Paizocon thing when will more info on this be listed? I'm really curious to see this as its my first Paizocon but am torn between this & Bestiary Bash. I suppose it doesn't matter as I may not even get into that & this would be my next choice for the morning.
Also I've not seen anything about the Banquet listed, I may have missed that, when will this be so I can make sure not to schedule something during the banquet.
Buddy system question can you have multiple buddies to sign up with for different events? ie. Me & buddy 1 for event ABC then me and buddy 2 for event efg?
I will be attending with my brother and 2 friends and would like to be able to buddy up with them for different events as would they.
Huh. An event called "Secret Project Preview" by James Jacobs. I wonder what that's gonna be about.
It's the secret project of him remodeling his bathroom in a pathfinder theme. It's secret because if his wife found out about pathfinder theme she'd finger of death him.
Some very terrible people are trying to convince me to change Write Better! Tips for RPG Writers & Editors to Write "More" Gooder! New "Fresh" Tips for RPG Writers & Editors.
I'm curious since this will be my first paizocon. Once the details are made known and sign ups out there. I'm assuming there will be details as to like what levels, types of characters, do & don'ts etc so we can create them before hand?
I'm a longtime comic book junky myself. While sometimes the changes made to the movies are not the greatest and in a lot of cases irk the fans. I don't think that it makes them a terrible movie or is a disrespect for the source material. With the exception of everything after the first 45 mins of the newer Fantastic Four movie.
All in all I've thought the Marvel done movies, Ironman, Avengers & the like have all been exceptional. Sure some of the changes make me think WTF dude. Are they perfect no, but they take those characters we love and bring them to life to entertain us. In that they are doing they job.
I just saw Superman v Batman and while again some of the changes what not made me think wtf or something along those lines I have to say I really loved the movie and I think they took the fundamentals of those separate storylines and made them into 1 good one. The Jimmy Olson thing I'm kind of ok with that for this reason. While in credits and Snyder says it was jimmy... but this is easily something that could be corrected as say he was CIA so he was impersonating him and the real Jimmy is alive & well. Probably not but oh well I never really cared for Olson.
I just think people are to hard on some of these movies, the ones that are really good such as this & the others. Ones like the newer Fantastic Four, Green Lantern etc those are the ones that were done utterly wrong. Though entertainment wise I did like Green Lantern. And also I don't get the hate over the CGI suit I really thought it looked awesome and was far from any of the worse things in that movie.
I visited Thornton's in my high street and stocked up on their 60% off post Easter sale - so I have A LOT of chocolates to share at Paizocon.
If you want to see what you might have a chance at nabbing samples of, check out their website here.
I fully expect to run out on day 1 of the con, so one of the advance revealed non official con games is
"Find Template Fu. Say Hi. Get Chocolate Reward!"
Rules are simple, as in the name above :P - plus one other semi hard rule - one chocolate per person. You can try multiple times and test my memory (which is rubbish), you are gamers after all, but do try to allow others a chance if you can.
This will definitely be like finding a needle in a hay stack for people who don't know you.lol (people like me) And want a chocolate... Love me some European chocolate. Here's to hoping to I find ya & get some nummy chocolate.
