I'm sorry also, I quit looking at this thread a while back since there wasn't a reply and then I forgot to for a couple of weeks. I'll send some pictures over to customer service e-mail.

My case order of "Pathfinder Battles-Bestiary Unleashed" (Order #36654992) arrived today, but one side was mangled. Most of one side of the outer box was missing. Several of the Booster boxes has big holes in them. All this was taped over.

I suspect that some miniatures may be missing from the gashed open boosters.

How should I proceed?
Should I file a claim with UPS?

Thanks,
William

Can't do 'exactly that' with mage hand. Mage hand takes a standard and a move action to do that, and only moves it 15 ft.

Telekinetic Projectile could move it 50 or more feet (if opponent was 25 away from you, you can target something 25 on the other side of you) and it only takes a standard action.

So not exactly the same. Of course the hover with Mage Hand is nice for holding for an ally, but also if there is enough headroom, you can have it hover 15' above the ground and a bit further every round until you get to your max range.

Dunno if enemy-held objects (or even just objects on another being, like their helmet) would be allowed, but since the spell description doesn't mention that the object needs to start in your possession, I can see a situation where I might actually use this spell.

Seems perfectly reasonable that if the starting point and ending point are both within the range of the spell and the object is unattended, that it should work.

So, say you have a party member who specializes in disarming opponents, if you are next up in initiative order, you can make sure the opponent probably doesn't retrieve the weapon on his/her turn by flinging it at another opponent (or even a wall or other object) to make sure the weapon is no longer near the opponent.

Of course, this won't work for most two handed weapons or crossbows due to the weight restriction.

I have the same issue, no part 4 showing up. Actually, "my subscriptions" page shows me not getting anything in Late November/Early December except the Pathfinder Battles case. Could be a display error due to my changing the case to "ship as soon as it arrives in the warehouse". If the display is correct then I'm missing many items for December. And it's been this way for a few days now, so it doesn't seem to related to authorization.

Order 4077296 (a subscription order for this month) seems to have slightly miscalculated the shipping. The product total of $186.48 is enough to qualify for "First Ten Shipping", but the "Shipping & Handling Discount" is listed as $2.96 instead of $10.

This might make sense if the shipping total was less than $10, in which case I'd expect to see the discount match the actual shipping cost, but in this case the shipping cost is $24.97 which is above $10.

I see that the order was split into two pieces for charging my credit card (the two charges seem to add up to the correct total), but that process may have made the shipping and handling be wrong?

Also I switched from the normal hardcover of the "Curse of the Crimson Throne" AP to the limited edition, that may also have caused a hiccup.

Thanks,
William

Is the case price (currently listed as $543.68 = full price) correct since the individual bricks are 10% off? That would make it cost an extra $54 for a case just to open up the option to purchase the $40 case incentive.

Yeah, a full sleeved set plus the insert is definitely starting to weigh enough to be classified as an improvised weapon. Watch out for barbarians.

It appears that some of the description text was recycled from adventure 1.

"The bundle contains six scenarios,"

I believe that there are only 5 scenarios in this adventure.

I have several of both 1st and 2nd version. They both work fine at home, but when I started taking them to OP, they got turned on their side (to fit in my bag) and bumped around (traveling in the car) and both versions then had issues with the removable dividers popping out of the slot.

Last week someone had the 3rd version and the 'shoulders' on the new dividers are wider (in addition to the style change). This means you can't place two dividers in the same position in adjacent rows, but they are also a whole lot less likely to pop out now.

So I simply ordered two sets of the new dividers - extra dividers for pacg organizer - for each of my existing organizer inserts. This works like a charm, my 1st and 2nd edition organizers are just as good as the new one as far as the dividers no longer popping out.

Your game isn't one of them.

I gonna have to agree with Drahliana and others here. In my experience (of course this doesn't mean that you have the same situation) finding a way to get around the GM's homebrew AC rules will simply mean that you spend time coming up with a character that the first time you use a power to get around the high AC, it suddenly doesn't work the way the rules say it does because of yet another homebrew rule that the GM "forgot" to tell you about until now. Like touch AC doesn't exist anymore, or dodge bonus doesn't depend on dex, etc.

So yeah, like others have said, talk to the GM to see what he/she is trying to do, or why. Otherwise you run the risk of inadvertently being perceived as "that player" who keeps making the GM change the rules to keep you from breaking his/her game.

Me, I'm getting too old for that kind of game. I just pass and go home and grumble to the dog, who doesn't really care as long keep petting her.

I think the replies so far have missed MuffinB's actual point. It wasn't a question about gender pronouns, nor about deck versus hand. I think his/her point was that beginning of the sentence specifies "your" (a singular subject) while the middle of the sentence specifies "every other character" (plural) and the end states "discards from her deck" (back to singular). So the question is should everyone discard from their own deck or from "her" = singular => you/active player. I think that it's fairly obvious (as does MuffinB) that it should be each character discards from their own deck. But this is based on global knowledge of how these things work in PACG and not the actual wording of this sentence. (If they meant to discard from the active players deck it would probably have said something like "discard one card from your deck for each other non-dead player").

"discards from your deck" is obvious what should happen
"discards from their deck" is also obvious
but
"discards from her deck" can be confusing due to the singular/plural issue in the sentence.

Thus the question is whether "her" an editing/typo since "their" works much better in this sentence.

Somewhere along the way, this order got scrambled a bit.
I has subscription items in it as well as 4 t-shirts that got moved over from order 3585634.
Last Tuesday, the order was listed as being broken into 3 parts for shipping. 1) The promo dragon for the pathfinder battles. 2) the T-shirts plus the battles case. 3) Everything else = card game stuff, adventure path, companion.

The card game, adventure path, and companion items seem to have been charged and shipped on Tuesday June 9. I have received all these items.
At that time the T-shirts were still lumped with the case for shipping and the dragon as yet another shipment.

Then on Friday June 12, apparently the dragon was charged and shipped. At that time, the T-shirts and the dragon moved into the shipped category, and got lumped in with the previously paid for and already shipped items as if they were one shipment that had all shipped on Tuesday.

I have received the dragon promo and the other items. But it appears that the T-shirts didn't get charged for and were never really in the first or second shipment. I'd like to get them shipped. Also the battles case which is in it's own shipment seems to just be sitting there. Normally I'd just wait but the patron saint of people waiting on their subscriptions (St. Sara Marie) has stated in the June subscription thread that all the June subscriptions should have shipped by now. So could someone prod the battles case to get a move on.

Thanks,
William

Got my order today and it is mostly great. Unfortunately the adventure deck #1 that comes included in the base set for the Wrath card game had an issue.

Both halves of the adventure deck #1 were (almost) identical. They both had villains, henchmen, some monsters, locations, and adventure and scenarios cards. So I got two of all the villains, henchmen, etc. But no spells, allies, weapons, armor, etc. I could use a 'replacement' for this other half.

A second issue is that these two half decks weren't exactly identical. One had 6 different cohorts while the other had only 5. I don't think I need a replacement for anything in this half, but just wanted to let you know that some of these half decks may not have all the cards.

Ok, thanks. I thought it was set up that way but the 'my subscriptions' page doesn't list the premium as being in the list of things in the June shipment.

I guess it will get added when it spawns.

I have a subscription to the Pathfinder Battles, but without the premium figure. I tried ordering just the premium --"Pathfinder Battles—Dungeons Deep: Gargantuan Red Dragon", but it won't let me without buying another case. I'd like to just add this to my existing subscription.

Gauss wrote:

I have to disagree with the results (conclusion) of your example. Creature 3 has absolutely lost an action, a standard action while moving his Full-Round action to the top of the list.
Any way you slice it he loses that standard action when measuring actions over multiple rounds.

But that 'lost' action is the last action by Creature 3 during which he decided to do nothing, or at least nothing meaningful to the combat.

Only if we define the end of combat as MUST be at the end of a round (instead of when the last creature decides to do something other than pass), will Creature 3 appear to lose an action, but even then, it was an action where Creature 3 did nothing. If Creature 3 decides to do something meaningful with that lost action, then another round would start. Starting a new round also gives the other people an extra action, but if they do nothing, does it really count as Creature 3 lost an action? (Well they could do something useless just to be doing something, but does that even matter? Creature 3 could always say he still has something to do and yet another round would start).

You have two possible situations - either creature 3 has the last meaningful action or another creature does. (Just for grins I'm gonna assume Creature #1 died somewhere in the battle.) I'm also assuming that Creature 3 was able to act in the surprise round but rolled the worst initiative, thus his decision to delay into the next round to go first. Otherwise Creature 3 can lose meaningful actions relative to any creature he delays past in the order.

CASE 1: Creature 3 has last meaningful action.
OPTION A: Creature 3 delayed in the surprise round:: (surprise round = round 0)
round 0: (surprise round)
Creature 1 acts (action #1)
Creature 2 acts (action #1)
Creature 3 delays
round 1:
Creature 3 acts (action #1)
Creature 1 acts (action #2)
Creature 2 acts (action #2)
...........
round 997:
Creature 3 acts (action #997) (did not act in surprise round)
Creature 1 does not act since he is dead
Creature 2 acts (action #998) (did act in surprise round)
round 998:
Creature 3 acts (action #998) (kills last enemy or heals last downed ally)
Creature 1 does not act since he is dead
Creature 2 passes (action #999)
round 999:
Creature 3 passes (action #999)
Creature 1 does not act since he is dead
Creature 2 passes (action #1000)
End of combat.

OPTION B:
Creature 3 acted in the surprise round (counted as round 0 here)::
round 0: (surprise round)
Creature 1 acts (action #1)
Creature 2 acts (action #1)
Creature 3 acts (action #1)
round 1:
Creature 1 acts (action #2)
Creature 2 acts (action #2)
Creature 3 acts (action #2)
...........
@ end of round 996:
Creature 3 acts (action #997) (since he acted in surprise round=0)
round 997:
Creature 1 does not act since he is dead
Creature 2 acts (action #998)
Creature 3 acts (action #998) (kills last enemy or heals last downed ally)
round 998:
Creature 1 does not act since he is dead
Creature 2 passes (action #999)
Creature 3 passes (action #999)
round 999:
Creature 1 does not act since he is dead
Creature 2 passes (action #1000)
Creature 3 passes (action #1000)
End of combat.

Here the last meaningful action is by Creature 3 with action #998.
For OPTION A, Creature 3 'lost' action #999 (if you define the end of combat as the end of round #998) or #1000 (if you define the end of combat as the end of round #999), but it only looks lost if you decide you have to end combat at the end of a round of initiative.
The 'lost' action was a PASS. In both OPTION A and B, Creature 3 got the same number of real=non-PASS action compared to the other creatures.
Alternatively you could say that creature 3's action #998 was the end of combat for either option. In which case there is no lost action.

Bottom line - the 'lost' action is a PASS action. But what if he wanted to do another action, making the 'lost' action into a real action? Well, a new round would be created since we are still in combat and Creature 3 now does an action and everyone else passes. We get the same result, but we added one round and now we have a new lost action which is still a PASS.

So now what if someone else has the last meaningful action?

CASE 2: Another Creature has last meaningful action.
OPTION C:
Creature 3 delayed in the surprise round::
round 0: (surprise round)
Creature 1 acts (action #1)
Creature 2 acts (action #1)
Creature 3 delays
round 1:
Creature 3 acts (action #1)
Creature 1 acts (action #2)
Creature 2 acts (action #2)
...........
round 997:
Creature 3 acts (action #997) (did not act in surprise round)
Creature 1 does not act since he is dead
Creature 2 acts (action #998) (did act in surprise round)
round 998:
Creature 3 acts (action #998)
Creature 1 does not act since he is dead
Creature 2 acts (action #999) (kills last enemy or heals last downed ally)
round 999:
Creature 3 passes (action #999)
Creature 1 does not act since he is dead
Creature 2 passes (action #1000)
End of combat.

OPTION D:
Creature 3 acted in the surprise round (counted as round 0 here)::
@ end of round 996:
Creature 3 acts (action #997) (since he acted in surprise round=0)
round 997:
Creature 1 does not act since he is dead
Creature 2 acts (action #998) (did act in surprise round)
Creature 3 acts (action #998)
round 998:
Creature 1 does not act since he is dead
Creature 2 acts (action #999) (kills last enemy or heals last downed ally)
Creature 3 passes (action #999)
round 999:
Creature 1 does not act since he is dead
Creature 2 acts (action #1000)
Creature 3 passes (action #1000)
End of combat.

Here the last meaningful action is by Creature 2 with action #999.
Again you can say that Creature 3's action #999 is lost if he delays in the surprise round, but the lost action is a PASS action. If Creature 3 wants to take a real action with #999, then this turns into OPTION A, where we start a whole new round where Creature 3 acts and everyone else passes.

So, yeah if you want to count by complete rounds, then Creature 3 lost an action, but it was a PASS action. There was no effect on the battle or on how many real/(non-pass) actions were taken by any of the creatures, nor the order of those actions. The problem with this scenario is that it only works if Creature 3 was dead last in initiative order, otherwise he loses a meaningful/(non-pass) action relative to the creatures he beat on the initiative roll.

Of course, by delaying to the non-surprise round, if creature 3 is able to do a full-round action, he may be able to make the battle shorter than if he did a standard action only. This can result in multiple people 'losing' actions. This could effect any creature, and may or may not include creature 3. But that is a different issue.

My order 3325264 seems to be lost in space, or limbo, or one of the 7 hells. It was placed way back in October as a pre-order of the "Pathfinder Battles: Iconic Heroes Set #1". It has been listed as Pending ever since then, but not in the same "sidecart" as my other sidecart items.

Most sidecart items show up on the orders page under the "My sidecart" listing at the top of the order history page. This order doesn't (also separate orders for Set #2 and #3) but these orders do show as being put in the sidecart when you go to the order detail itself.

A couple of weeks ago it showed up as still pending, but with a credit card authorization pending. This expired without a charge and then early last week, the status changed to be "This order will be combined to ship with order 3463604", which was a subscription order plus two items that were in the official sidecart.

Unfortunately, order 3463604 shipped on Tuesday of last week and I got it on Thursday. It looks like order 3325264 didn't manage to make it into 3463604 before the subscription order made it out the door as I only got the 3 items from order 3463604.

What can we do to get this out of limbo? And what can be done to make sure that "Pathfinder Battles: Iconic Heroes Set #2" (order 3325266) and "Pathfinder Battles: Iconic Heroes Set #3" (order 3346690) don't also get lost on their way here also?

Thanks

This is just my experience, but it is different from what most others are experiencing. For RotR, I was lucky and got all the same printing (first printing from China) and they didn't have a noticeable (to me at least) color issue.

But for S&S, deck 2 was noticeably lighter than the base set. I tried not to look for this, but once I knew it was there, it just jumped out at me when a lighter card came to the top of a location. Given that in most scenarios the villain and several of the henchmen are probably from the most recent deck (some other cards may also be from the most recent deck, but this is usually at random), it was too obvious when a possible villain/henchman showed up. My solution was to switch from clear backed sleeves to solid color backed sleeves.

My take is that you are more likely to get color variations with the Chinese editions, but it is possible to get them with any manufacturer.

I agree with Hawkmoon about being cautious with this rule.
There are some monsters that can easily cause 20+ damage to an unprepared character (like a mage without a spell).
Taking that much damage from your deck would one-shot kill most characters, or at least most of the ones that don't have an armor to with the ability to "reduce all damage to 0" in their hand.

Of course, this would make armor much more important, and characters with little or no armor cards would be in more danger.

Perhaps you could try something in between like one discard from deck for every 4 extra damage, round up.

Spellbooks and Learning New Spells.

Every time someone starts up playing a wizard/magus/alchemist for the first time in PFS, I gotta check how they've been adding extra spells to their spellbooks. More often than not, they've been buying scrolls and scribing the spells from that. Those players get confused/surprised when I gotta pull up the magic chapter and the scribing/spell obtaining costs are a fraction of what they're paying.

I have this issue but in reverse. I've only been playing a few months, but none of the 6 GMs I've played with allowed me to pay an NPC for spellbook access. They say this isn't allowed in PFS and that you have only two ways to get additional spells: 1. buy scrolls 2. copy from the spellbook of another PC who is running in the same adventure as you.

The last GM said that he had a 12th level wizard and had never heard of being allowed to pay an NPC for spellbook access.

Then there was the GM that said I couldn't take 10 when learning a spell from a scroll. Having to buy a new scroll for each failure gets expensive real fast.

Not sure I'd want to be an ally since most will get "discarded" for an explore. So it would have to be one with a nice "reveal" power so that they would keep me around for a while.

Also there is the issue of "banish an ally". I interpret this to be something like: "Hmmm, may be a trap in there. Lets send this guy in first... Ohh, that was a nasty trap. Looks like we need a replacement ally now."
Cause that's what adventurers like to do.

Why do you guys think you should you be able to use all your resources regardless of consequences at the end of the game, when that applies to no other part of the game?

Probably because that is how the game has worked until now. Not saying that is right, but everyone has become accustomed to it being that way.

And I don't agree that it is without consequence. I've seen a situation where people who know that this is the last turn for them will use every blessing/ally to get extra turns to try to find the villain before time runs out. Then they don't have anything left to help the other players with, so they discard their weapon and/or armor to get a better chance to draw a blessing. This isn't without consequence though, you might not draw that blessing you hoped for, or the next player might encounter a skeleton horde, then you fail an easy fight against a summoned skeleton and lose that blessing that you planned to use to close your location or help in the villain fight.

I think it comes down to the mechanic of losing on time is a bit contrived and everyone knows exactly when they will get no more turns. So it seems strange to give consequences to just one of the players. In a six player game, there are 4 other players who can still do this. Seems to me the fix is to change it to :

If you cannot advance the blessings deck, immediately end your turn and ALL players must reset their hands.
This seems more like the correct way to address the issue of using all your resources at the end of the game.

How often do you not find the villain before turn 30 and not lose due to running out of blessings? In my experience it happened maybe twice.
Can you cast Cure prior to Advancing the Blessing Deck?
You play it after the previous player resets their hand. Not so much "before you advance the blessings deck" as "before that guy ends his turn."

Except that they have to be at the same location. Which is a bit less likely than normal since they may be spreading out to close locations.

Now if the doomed character got a real turn, they could move to the cleric and get healed.

To me it seems a bit odd that if both Y and Z empty their decks to help X try to defeat the villain on the last turn, only Y will die if X is unable to defeat the villain, just because Y's turn comes after X's.

Thanks for the myocardial infarction, Sarah.

Tanis, are you trying to get us to use our Potion of Lucubration?

I got a set of seven class decks (one of each) and two of them didn't have the full number of cards.
We first noticed that the Rogue deck was missing masterwork tools and then counted the cards for only 104 (of 110 if you count the rules card).

After trying to match the cards with the list of card names in each deck, the following cards seem to be missing:

Rogue Class Deck -- (missing 6 cards) all seem to be 'B' items
Caltrops
Emerald of Dexterity
Ivory Dice
Masterwork Tools
Potion of Energy Resistance
Sage's Journal

Cleric Class Deck -- (missing one card)
Heggel's role card

Thanks,
William

Due to a post on the PACG forums, I've found that I'm missing one copy of Blessing of Erastil in my copy of S&S. There are only three in my copy and 4 in most other copies. How do I go about getting a replacement card?

Thanks for the link, Hawkmoon! His spreadsheet matches my counts except for Blessings where I appear to have an extra Erastil. I didn't bother to go through and match card for card, but the totals are the same. So I assume:

I have an extra Erastil
Stacysensei has an extra Falcata, an extra Whip & two extra Reastils
WilliamD is missing an Erastil

Of course, this is assuming that the BGG user's list is correct... I hope WotR comes with an official card list so that I can be appropriately anal about this. :)

FYI, I picked up a second copy and it has 4 Blessing of Erastil.

When you open the box, here are 3 big decks and one small one. When I got my first copy, I had opened the small one, found that it was all blessings and wondered why there were only 2 Blessings of Erastil. Turns out that the rest of the blessings were in the back of the third deck, but there was only one more Erastil.

So I got to looking at the decks when I opened the second copy:
The first deck starts with 7 character tokens and ends with 2x Rat Swarm.
The second deck starts with 1x Sea Drake and ends with 1x Magic Weapon.
The third deck starts with 1x Magic Weapon and ends with 1x Blessing of Erastil.
The fourth(smaller) deck starts with 3x Blessing of Erastil and ends with 32x Blessings of the Gods.

It occurs to me that a common (but by no means the only) error is to have a card missing from one of the ends of a deck. In my case I was missing one blessing at the start of the fourth deck for my first copy.

Anyway, my point is that you can do a quick check for this issue by checking the ends of each deck for the right number of these cards. Of course this only works when you first get the game, once the decks are mixed up you can't check this.

Actually if you read his post, he did Social Contract once and Process twice. They just didn't physically make a list. They all said what they wanted, and rolled off ties. That's what Obey the Process is. They all had a mental list, they knew what card they would take if they lost their roll.

Actually they didn't truly follow the Process. A 'mental' list opens up the door to gaming the process. To truly follow the Process, a written list is required.

I think I may have gotten 2 extra. I have 6 copies of Blessing of Erastil and only 4 copies of all the other non-generic blessings. My fear is that this means I got shorted 1 or 2 copies of some other cards or card. Compounding this fear is the fact that the possible extra copies were mixed in with other card types when I initially opened the sealed packs. Also does an official card list exist that I can reference to check card names and quantities?

Thanks in advance

I got 4 of each, but only 3 of Erastil. Seems you got one of mine :-)

So while I was waiting for my subs to ship (that order is still pending) I thought I'd order the S&S card game character mats and the adventure mat. That order (# in the subject line) looks to be split into two packages - the adventure mat, and everything else. That doesn't bother me, but the shipping seems awfully high - nearly 1/3 the total cost of the order. Would combining this order with the july and august subs save on shipping?

Just for info, I recently ordered the adventure mat and character mats in a single order but they got broken into two sets for shipping. And yeah the shipping seemed to be quite high, on both the adventure mat and character mats. For the character mats, the reason might be the weight (I got both standard character mats and add-on mats and the total was 2 lbs.). The adventure mat shipped in what looks to be it's normal display packaging - rolled up in a long triangular box. The play mats are much smaller than this (but thicker) and the display packaging is just a plastic bag so they needed to go into a real shipping box. It looks like if they combined the two, it might have to go into a much bigger shipping box. But it sure seems like it was more to ship these two smaller packages than one bigger one might have been, but I admit to having no real data.

My guess is that they have the adventure mat set up to always ship by itself due to the length (25").

I'm having essentially no luck with the VC route, but it doesn't appear to be my VC's fault. I've been e-mailing him every couple of weeks for 2 months now and he replies promptly every time, but the status is still the same -- he is waiting for a reply from Mike and will e-mail him again.

I also had trouble receiving a reply from Mike Brock back when you first suggested that we e-mail him about this. I never got a reply to my first or second e-mail to Mike even though he was very diligent in replying to all of them. Finally after a couple posts here, he resent e-mails and I got it (and yes I checked my SPAM filter and the issue isn't obviously on my end). So my concern is that there may be an unknown issue with outgoing e-mail from Mike. Is there a non-email way to get in touch and get this moving? I'll send e-mail to Mike in any case.

It's not a retail store per se, we just rent store space in Plano Texas (north of Dallas) @ Dallasgamesmarathon.com

I asked Madness Comics and Games (an enormous facility one mile away) if they were going to run something and the answer was no.

I was going to say that I was surprised that they told you that they weren't doing it, but I guess I should have expected that. I've been working with the owner and 2 of the managers for the last two months to set up OP there. My guess is that most of the front staff don't know about it. I guess I need to work on that.

The owner basically said up front that I could do it as long as I didn't expect help from his staff since they have a lot going on. As it turns out I did need some of their help since they needed to sign up the store, so that caused some delays. But now that they have signed up, they have the poster and promo cards, and they got an offer to get a copy of S&S at a reduce price (well technically free plus about $22 shipping).

My plan is to do Thursdays starting September 4th from 7-9 PM. (I know that Paizo would prefer Wednesdays, but DND Encounters has become a figurative (no not literal) monster lately with an average of 50-60 people showing up to play every Wednesday. So we have an all hands on deck situation for DMs, thus Wednesday is out for me.) Given the issues with the delivery of the Class Decks, there could be nothing to play for OP at the start, but I was planning on having extra copies to allow for general play, demos, etc. anyway due to OP not being for beginners. So I will be running something starting Sept 4th, even if it is just open play and demos of RotR and S&S (UPS says my copy of S&S is in Idaho and will be here this Thursday). If things go really well, I expect that we may have something like "make up Saturdays" to catch up on scenarios and let folks redo scenarios that result in a failure.

BTW, DGM (DallasGamesMarathon) is awesome, but I never seem to get there very often, too much real life going on.

Troymk1: If you like, send me a message and we can talk/coordinate.

I was billed for this item almost two weeks ago; it should have shipped by now. If your going to delay sending it out, don't charge me.

When they first generate your order, they'll put a hold on your credit card which expires a few days later. I'd check your statement, as you'll probably find that charge has disappeared by now. Unfortunately, some banks don't display the difference between a hold and an actual charge to their customers.

Paizo don't finalise a payment until the product actually ships. If the payment has actually gone through but the package hasn't actually shipped, something has gone quite wrong. I'd give them a ring, or start a thread in the customer service forum and they'll sort it out, I'm sure.

I think it would be more correct to say that "Paizo doesn't USUALLY finalize a payment until the product actually ships". There are at least 6 of us for whom they did in fact charge but not ship (well they thought they shipped but the package didn't make it to UPS). This would appear to be a different but less common glitch than what most are seeing. The common denominator seems to be that we all ordered S&S PACG subscription and it was filled/shipped on about the 7th. I got my bill today and it has a charge on the 8th for my S&S PACG subscription, which is listed on the orders page as complete and shipped except -- that UPS doesn't have it. They are shipping other (non S&S PACG) preorders & subscriptions. For instance I got the S&S playmats on the 19th, they were shipped on the 13th (card charged on the 14th).

Posting in customer service and/or e-mailing hasn't worked for everybody, but a couple of people got generic replies stating that all orders should go out by the 22nd. But no mention that Paizo recognizes that we have already been charged two weeks ago.

In any event, hopefully it will ship tomorrow and I won't get charged a second time.

Bump.

From reading the forums, there are at least 4 other people with the same issue as me. Order has been paid for and "shipped" and listed as complete for about 2 weeks, but it hasn't been seen by UPS. What can we do to find out when it will actually ship?

Has anyone created an event on the PFS events page for PACG OP?

In spite of the fact that my copy of S&S seems to have gotten lost on the way to UPS and the fact that my local VC still doesn't have any info on OP for PACG, I've got the local store signed up and we will start something, even if it is just normal non-OP play.

I tried to create an event, but the page seems to still be geared toward the RPG. It has lots of RPG scenarios that you can check as the ones that will be available for play, but no options for the card game. I guess I could create an event with no scenarios listed. Was just wondering what everybody else was doing with this.

And I guess I should also point out that it has been showing as "Complete" for over a week now.

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber; Pathfinder Starfinder Adventure Path, Starfinder Maps, Starfinder Roleplaying Game, Starfinder Society Subscriber

My order #3227630 is listed as "Complete" and states that it was billed and shipped on August 7. I've verified that my credit card was billed on August 8.

The problem is that it never seems to have shipped.

UPS tracking states :
"A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status--including the scheduled delivery date--will be updated."

And it's definitely not shown up here.

Thanks,
William

I looked through the "Conquering Heroes" sticky post and noticed not a single solo "team". I had a strong team of Lini and Amiri go all the way through the AP and lose pretty badly in the final scenario, so I'm wondering if this final scenario against Karzoug is harder for smaller teams. And that last one is sort of like the Game of Thrones ("...you win or you die.").

So, my question is, has anyone beaten it solo, either because they played all the way through with a single character, or they were down to a single character by the end of the AP?

I'm retrying with just Merisiel, but I'm wondering about her chances, even if I try to optimize her to prepare for that last battle.

Interestingly enough my wife and I finished the final scenario this last weekend with Lini and Amiri. Just before the last scenario we dumped several cards that we would never have let go otherwise, but only because we had a rough idea of what was coming (we try to not look at the villains and henchmen before running the scenario, but we view the scenario card as fair game). So, we kept items, allies, spells (multiple spyglasses) that would let us look at the top cards and keep pushing the villain down towards the bottom so we only had to deal with him once. This may have been key to our success.

Solo -- only one character -- no, but we did do it with a small party.

We've now restarted with two characters each while we wait for S&S to arrive. The game is definitely different with a larger team, but my GUESS is that some things are harder and some are easier, but you can get a different difficulty even with the same number of characters depending on the particular character mix.

Same thing here. Subscription order for Base set, character add-on, and promos says "Complete", but UPS says shipping label on August 7, but that they haven't received the package. Order for playmats went through yesterday and is also "Complete", and UPS says it actually has the package and estimates delivery on the 19th.
