I understand Kalindlara. I have been on enough group trips and mission trips that I am used to sleeping on the floor if needed and sometimes prefer the floor to sharing a bed with someone my size. Plus, I move enough in my sleep that I may go straight for the floor anyways. The issues for me would be someone jacking/messing with my stuff and not being able to get the ability to shower and other bathroom stuff before or after each day. But for the price, I may have to roll the dice if you will on the hotel mates for 4 nights.

Thank you and the others who more often than not GM on a primary basis, whether wanting to or not.
Self auditing can be very helpful. Found a mistake twice on my main on two separate times. There is a kid who plays in our area that has questionable totals sometimes when rolling attack or damage but his dad is reliable to help audit how his son got the total he came up with. I have not been full blown audited in being asked to hand over the character sheet, the chronicle sheets, or both. When my fighter was in his last scenario before lvl 12, the gm did ask for an explanation on how my fighter's ac was so high (33 AC). I willingly explained
As stated before, Black Death with Sean Bean and The 13th Warrior are two that are often overlooked but good, if not great. I also like Arnold's Conan the Barbarian. I can enjoy the remake due to the red head (i have a thing for beautiful red heads) but I prefer the original even if it's not as true to Conan mythology.
First off, sorry about that happening. It can happen to us all. My first pfs scenario, I ended up dropping twice but fortunately never died. I have seen scenarios where things are written into the scenario in a way that can end in a pc being outright slaughtered, if things go a certain way. For experienced players, I do usually go by how the scenario is written, including moral. For new players, I have fudged some rolls to make it not as mean (I have about 5 or 6 crits that were regular hits due to new player with low hp during combat). If you do make another pc, I do advise at least a 12 constitution. I usually go with 14 with my characters. Since you can retrain your character once it hits level 2, you could add toughness as a 1st lvl feat to gain 3 extra hp during lvl 1 scenarios.

12 at the very least. I recommend 14 as your very least for a con score.

For me, it is not the case of having to optimize or over build due to scenarios being hard, it is that some people I have played with either have had horrible builds that are never beneficial or the player himself is of no benefit. It is more of a I want to be able to survive half the party being bad. Because some of the people I play with do similar builds to not just survive but thrive, we end up with overpowering parties.
With those stats, I would have asked if I could move any of them. If not, I play a cleric and make the most of it. You can easily build around those stats and not be a whiny female dog. Yes, the first few levels may be tough but that is why you let the tanks be your meat shields as you channel and heal your way through the low levels.
I would never play with this type of troll in a homegame. I do play pfs with people here and there that are annoying but I can accept it every now and then with pfs. In a homegame where it is the same people over and over, that type of stuff wouldn't happen or one of us is no longer coming. I am not meaning to be a sore loser but I would warn him once to stop and if he continues, either kick him out or leave.
I love playing fighters because I like playing a tank. But I will admit, depending on how one plans to build the melee PC, other classes might be a better choice. A 2 weapon fighter in medium armor is better off as a full ranger (more skills along with other bonuses). But fights can be built to be very lethal in their own right.
Master of the Fallen fortress could be a really good scenario. It is combat heavy and offers a bit of lot of what a pc is going to encounter during combat and out of combat to give an idea of what to prepare for as the pc takes on more missions. Problem for it that you have to be lvl 1 for credit. Can give credit for these lvl 1 encounters/modules to a lvl 2 pc once. |
