Hey guys, this has been loads of fun, but it looks like it's time for me to step out. I just don't have good internet frequently enough to stay in.

The current group loot is 2575 gp, plus all the things we just gathered from the mages. Don't know whether GM is gonna let you guys take the stuff I've currently got on Sorad. Probably not; would make sense story-wise.

I'll of course still be lurking around and rooting for ya. :)

Sorry I've been absent--school just started yesterday. I'll give the loot totals after my first classes today.

I'm not sure what feat I want. Any suggestions?

I also realized that Vaek has almost no equipment. I vote we give him the hat of disguise, the cloak, and the ring.

This is what I have at this point, given that Tony and Sic each claimed the things they already mentioned.

9884.5gp
hat of disguise
Wand of CLW (50 charges)
Scroll of desecrate
scroll of create food and water
scroll of protection from energy
lesser rod of focused metamagic
handy haversack
absinthe
antitoxin x3
mwk manacles
Amulet of NA
Cloak of Resistance
Ring of protection
A crescent moon pendant with a faint transmutation aura of unknown purpose

So the extend rod goes to Tony, and maybe the breastplate for Sic. Anyone else finding anything of use?
DM, what is the availability of prosthetics in Coran?

The dwarf raised an eyebrow at the conflict in the group, but said nothing.
I don't much care who likes or doesn't like who... Just so long as we all stick our differences when we have to.

I do have a hat, but it limited to gnomes and human children. A hat of disguise would be an upgrade.

I can look into the loot later, probably on Monday. In the meantime everyone mention the things that would be an upgrade for them so we know what to keep. We can divvy it up then. I could use the hat of disguise, the cloak, the amulet, and/or the ring.

Sorad gulps down his other potion of invisibility, then floats slightly to one side. (Five foot step down and south)

Sofas flies up as far as he can (withdraw). Then uses a ki point to increase AC by four.

I also want to throw in my lot about this seeming kind of unfair. Both of the fights we've been in the enemy has had several extra NPCs to outnumber us, but when we'be asked for NPC help, we haven't gotten more than a couple of people. I would be okay with this knowing that we had another form of advantage, but I don't see one. That fifth level magus feels pretty cheap too. That's an NPC beyond anything we've ever been offered.

AoO on the priest? Also, did my attack hit the halfling, even with the -2 for not being a disarm?

AoO to disarm: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16

will: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (1) + 13 = 14
Alright, got the one out of the way. Let's do this!

Stepping south, Sorad kicks repeatedly at the cleric's head.
Five foot step so I'm directly over the cleric--he's not getting away without taking an AoO--using ki point for extra attack, plus the haste attack. All of this is done defensively.

attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19 Plus stunning fist--DC 17 fort save or be stunned for one round. He also loses his dex bonus on this attack because I'm invisible
damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27
damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11

attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9

attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29
damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
confirm: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12
confirm damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11

attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17
damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

Current AC is 28

Is either ending their turn within a five foot step of me?

Floating invisibly through the air, Sorad moves into the action (G52, five feet up). On a whim, he speaks to the men near him. Bolas de Fango del vientre-slivered! They won't recognize that language because it isn't one. Sorad is making sounds up in the hopes of confusing them. Probably will require a bluff and/or linguistics check He then moves further on. (Double move to F46, still five feet up).

Let's get this started now! I've been waiting much too long to beat these @$!# scum!

Pulling out a third potion, Sofas downs that one as well, then steps north and up

You could just delay.

Double move to P50.

I don't think you can sleight of hand the weapon someone is holding. Taking something out of a person's hand. It takes force to grab something someone is holding, not subtlety.

@Sic, running must be in a straight line. (I had to go look that up again, its in the combat chapter though). Double move puts you at T40 in the back alley that Sorad is in if you are taking that?

Sorad, move action to retrieve potion, standard action to drink, or did I miss something there?

Need actions for Vaek.

Whoops, always forget that. I guess I'll five foot step.

Hold it until the moment we are ready to strike. No reason to let them see us before then. Oh--they might have gone invisible like we have. Do any of us have a way to counter that?

Sorad drinks his own potion of invisibility (defensively) and moves to Q42, just out of range of the guardsman.

Sure thing Tony.
I'm just moving forty feet back to the right. Haste doesn't stack with my fast movement. :P

I'm guessing that because all of them are expecting combat there is no flat-footedness? If that is there and I won't get attacked, I will instead move behind him to flank.

Sorad quickly downs his potion of mage armer (defensively), then steps forward menacingly to the man trying to come up behind Vaek.
You should leave, friend. Things are about to get dirty.

Im still a bit off on why im being attacked, it seems very random...I dunno, maybe ive just put too much stock in being the ambusher and not the ambushee?

Probably someone cast detect magic on you. Although how we all failed our perception checks for that and for the people sneaking up, I'm not sure. Dang distance penalty. :P

Mhmm, those do look fairly off. I had mentioned being by Vaek pretending to strike a deal with him while everyone else hid. I had thought that was our plan.

I'm in favor of getting the first guy. Kill him, drag his body off, and let them deal with having lost a guy. Maybe torture him and then kill him and stuff.

If Vaek walks in and 'waits for someone', then I can come in a little later and 'meet' him. That way two of us are on the ground and everyone else is elsewhere.

We need to pick exactly what kind of area we want for our ambush. I think a building is a bad idea--too many narrow hallways. But an open field is bad too. I'm not really sure. Maybe a three-way road intersection, without random bystanders.
Also, if the mages come for us, they aren't going to come alone. If we're going to do this we need NPC's on our side this time.

Sorad follows Vaek at a distance, only barely keeping him in sight--sometimes falling behind or moving ahead and using what Vaek said to keep them in the same general area.
Before they leave: if you want, Vaek, I can slip the shoes on while you buy the important stuff and wander around--make them try to figure out what you like so much about dress shops and elven mead--then meet up with you again after. He smiles, Maybe I can implicate some of the merchants as being with the Guild by spending some time talking to them.

Sorad stands and follows Vaek down to the lair.

Well, see you all in a week or so. 'Bye. :)

Well then... The dwarf reads the paper slowly, stunned that they would have let Vaek go. Gonna make it hard for him to keep up. Lost all his stuff. Mayhaps we can convince the Mistress to fund us a little extra, get him back up ta speed.

After having waited a while longer, Sorad goes to join Sic, sitting down next to him.
Speaking in the guild tongue What's happenin'?

Counting to forty-five, Sorad stepped out after. He didn't follow Sicsivicus, but instead also looked for anyone who might be tailing the man.

I've lost track of what we did with the thousand gold.
On a related note, if we don't get the scrolls 'til later, we can sell the pesh and possibly use that cash to help as well.

It sounds like a good plan. Let's do this.

Yeah, it's temporary; for the rest of the month and then I should have it again.
It also turns out that I'm rather busy. Going to schoo full time and working twenty to thirty hours a week is kind of rough.
I should also warn you guys now that I'm getting married soon. Hopefully that won't take so much of my time that I have to drop out, but it will make me busier. Anothy can control me any time you're all waiting on me. I don't want to slow the game down with all of these changes.

Just so everyone knows, I recently lost wifi access where I live, so I only have it while on campus. This will limit how much I post. Please GMPC me any time neccessary to move the game along.

Sorad casually stands up and follows about a minute later (would have whispered to Sic asking whoch room they were going to as they left). He positions himself down the far side of the corridor, so that he won't be seen if the 'peasant' doesn't look back as he leaves.
Tony, you can detect magic through doors right? If they talk for more than a little while, you should be able to sort through Sic's stuff and any magic this other guy has on him.

Can we hear both sides of the conversation through the message spell, or just what Sic is saying, or neither?

Map's bein' weird, so I can't see it.
Sorad sits at another table in the middle of the room, facing away from the door, and slowly nurses a drink.
Message: Someone who can detect magic should start that running. Let's see what this guy's got on 'im.

Save your charge Drovic. I'm only down four at this point No reason to use up a perfectly good spell on that.

I looked through all of the discussion thread, and didn't find any contacts mentioned. Looking through the gameplay thread next.

With loot stuff, I think Tony should take the ring (he has the lowest AC among our melee folks).
If anyone can use the chain shirt, they should take it, otherwise it should be sold.
Someone should definitely tske the potion. I don't think it much matters who.

GM, how quickly can we get that pesh sold? It would be nice to have 3k extra to spend on stuff to get Vaek out.

Restocking my potions, btw.

Yes, info on the guy who was asking about us, who I doubt was a peasant. I think we should talk to the girl before for sure, maybe after as well. We should definitely have her do a visual on the guy before we contact him to make sure he's the same guy.

I am also currently down 19 hit points, so if we have any healing left from yesterday I would like it. It would also help if someone did a heal check on me so I can heal double naturally; I don't think I can do that on myself.

I'll comb through the thread later and track doen all the stiff we took. I assume the bag I got has pesh in it? How much is that worth (I can't remember if we were just going to sell it, or if we had another use for it)

On an unrelated note, are there any corrupt politicians/people of power in the city who regularly interact with the guild? They might be useful resources.

I shall speak with the other guild members who were here and see if they noticed anything. In the meantime, will one of you casters itentify our loot so we know what it's worth?

gather information: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17 + bonuses for them being in the guild.

Is everyone besides Anthony out safe? Just want to make sure you're not waiting for me when I think I don't need to go.

I think we're going to leave and hope they distract the guard from us.

Seeing their enemies run, Sorad lets out a sigh of relief.
It's time to go. We've been here too long already.
And he starts jogging out.
move action out of the warehouse to E13. If there is no one out there I move another forty feet west

I don't know where anything is at, so I'll delay until the map is up again.

Grabbing the bag, Sorad runs to block the hole in the north wall and takes up a defensive stance there.
In cyclopian--Tony, can you make us another door? We need to get out of here now!

We really don't have time for this any more. We need to find our stuff and get out.

Technically haste doesn't give any extra actions, but it makes sense that it would make looking through boxes faster. If that's how you're going to rule it, Sorad will look for pesh (or anything else interesting) for one more turn. Otherwise he'll attack.

Haha, puny spell: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (19) + 13 = 32
