I do agree a lot of people cheat. Some cheat with interpretation of their classes features or feats as in, "if I read this one way this is the most useless thing in the world and if I read it the other way it works". And then their are the people you play with that say "I have the feat for that" and by the end of the game you are scratching your head wondering just how many feats this level one character has. As for fudging I can see the point of not ruining encounters, but say you have a wizard with one bad ass spell and then you negate it, if he is a serious person he certainly would not be happy to find out. I think we should just give the GM a reroll like everyone else gets.
I've had Yahoo as my homepage since 1995. As you can see I'm not big on change but the quality of Yahoo has become indefensibly horrendous. Every article having some imbedded video or slideshow does not help get me information faster. Twitter feeds are not relevant sources of information to formulate whole articles about. I don't care who is outraged. My computer absolutely hates Google so I cannot use that either. What do you all use or suggest for a good browser home page? I'd prefer something newsy and not dumbed down for Kardashian crowd.
I want a religion where I don't need to matter. I guess Zen would be the best. I feel no need for the ego Jenga society promotes. I also have no desire to promote another based upon others subservience. As for the western 3 I am at a lost of the logic that a potter who makes a pot in a certain way gets mad at the pot for being that way and then pot must ask apologize to the potter so that when its scrapped it can spend time with the potter. No thanks.
I think men need their own human nature song aimed at society. Madonna - Human Nature:
And I'm not sorry (I'm not sorry) It's human nature (it's human nature) And I'm not sorry (I'm not sorry) I'm not your b@@!& don't hang your s*** on me (it's human nature) You wouldn't let me say the words I longed to say
Did I say something wrong?
[chorus] You punished me for telling you my fantasies
[Bridge:] Did I say something true?
Oh and marriage is an insane thing. The only societies in which they would last is one where status was dependent on it(religion) or where it was necessary for one of the partners to be protected from(chaos) bandits, rapists, etc.. If you are friends, stay friends. If you are bed buddies, stay bed buddies. Don't expect your bed buddies to otherwise get along with you and don't expect your friends to excite you in bed. Read Plutarch's "Lycurgus" to see how the Spartans did it, much more efficiently than this obsolete tool we use now. I do peoples taxes for a living and I get to see the definition of insanity. Always some reliable and responsible person making babies and marrying someone quite the opposite expecting them to change. Maybe I'm jaded because my mother is on her fifth husband, by grandma had three back in the day and almost every married person I know is trying to mask their misery or drown it.
Well the biggest problem I have with the monk is that they are required to be lawful good. Oh and Samurai/Ninja seems horrible. You can have fun putting stats into fun things and the rest of the team will hate you when you get to the combat, or you can put stats into utility and combat and you will hate your character and the DM will hate you. Lastly you can screw up completely with a martial. Of course I'm a nub so what do I know..... I'm going rogue...
Nice, would go well with my Spartan Ripoff. Akron Race:
HEADER: Akrons are humans that live in the mountain town of Valdris seperated from the rest of humanity. They work hard from birth to the grave and have a disdain for people that let others do their work for them. They especially dislike those that use slaves. Akrons love battle and are trained at an early age to fight, wearing heavy armor and preferring close combat with swords and spears. PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Akrons are taller and more muscular than average humans, with prominent jaws and brows and extremities. They have tan to black skin, dark eyes and dark hair. SOCIETY:Akrons are strict isolationists. They live communally and do not exchange with outsiders or deal in currency. At the age of 4 children are removed from their mothers and put into a system of foster care run by workers, who decide where to assign the children, and moved frequently to best teach the child the neccesary life skills. At 15 all children are entered into the military, learning the combat arts and remain until the age of 25 where they continue in the military or embark upon a trade and start teaching the children. Women and men do not marry, though some choose to cohabitate, and they usually look for physical aspects or battle glory in a partner instead of beauty. RELATIONS: Akrons get along with the other races but frown upon many of their practices. They are outspoken and witty, though sometimes seen as callous by others. ALIGNMENT AND RELIGION: Akrons adhere to laws and are generally good or neutral. Many Akrons are followers of Sarenrae and a temple resides in Valdris. ADVENTURERS: Some Akrons feel trapped by their predestined lives and leave for new experiences and freedom.
Akron Traits:
+2 STRENGTH +2 CONSTITUTION -2 DEXTERITY SLOW AND STEADY: Akrons have a base speed of 20 feet, but their speed is never modified by armor or encumberance LUCKY: Akrons gain a +1 racial bonus on all saving throws. STABILITY: Akrons receive a +4 racial bonus to their CMD when resisting bull rush or trip attempts while standing on the ground. SKILL BONUS INTIMIDATE: Akrons recieve a +2 on Intimidate checks. INTEGRATED: Akrons gain a +1 bonus on Bluff, Disguise, and Knowledge (local) checks. RELENTLESS:Akrons gain a +2 bonus on combat maneuver checks made to bull rush or overrun an opponent. This bonus only applies while both the Akron and its opponent are standing on the ground. HATRED: Akrons gain a +1 racial bonus on attack rolls against Orcs and Hobgoblins. LIGHTBRINGER: Akrons are immune to light-based blindness and dazzle effects, and are treated as one level higher when determining the effects of any light-based spells or effects they cast (including spell-like and supernatural abilities). Akrons that have an Intelligence of 10 or higher may use light at will as a spell-like ability.
Diogenes was a great Monk.

"Legend lore brings to your mind legends about an important person, place, or thing." A) Wouldn't you need to know the thing you wanted to know more about? B) As the previous poster said, was the person or their death "important"? In the grand scheme of things one inconsequential murder doesn't seem that important. I'm not sure how they could deduce you did it without going through all the steps you put in place, plus if you are going to break the skill like that the GM could have at least embellished a story.

Gear Noble's outfit, Jewelry, Periscope, Tattoos Sexy pirate noblewoman sent by her father to acquire wealth for the family kitty. I cheated since you need a base attack of 1 for the Exotic Weapon Trait. What kind of pirate leader doesn't have a pistol.
I was joking about the melee but I was referring to the previous poster that was talking about how wands clear you up for fun spells, so not only do spellcasters get fun skills but they get fun spells and the poor melee characters only get to climb, swim and hit things in the most boring way. While I'm messing around with throwing a grappling hook they can use a magic rope. While trying to swim for my life they can walk on water(or build a boat with their high INT). When we are having a conversation I'm twittling my thumbs. When fighting they can give me buffs and debuff the enemies, meanwhile I miss 75 percent of my attacks and look like an idiot. While I am pumping up my stats and feats to have a decent AC they are casting mage armor. Call the wahmbulance.
Well in one instance someone picked up a wand from a wounded player then healed said player, who got up next round and used the wand on herself and the round after that the player who grabbed the wand earlier used the wand again, so basically two people were using one wand and all of this was done without any of them talking about giving wands to other people or move actions.
Yeah it was PFS. I get the whole dying vs dead thing I just don't like how useful the wand is at diffusing tension, luckily it looks like that is only a low level concern though. It didn't help that half the people had wands and people where borrowing them from wounded pcs and then giving them back but not really so the games immersion fell apart quite a bit.
So I was playing with 6 other people and we were having a pretty hard time against a (20AC spellcaster in level 1-2 scenario!)single enemy and this enemy managed to take down our cleric so a bard used a wand to resurrect her and I just realized how ridiculous wands are. Bad guys don't get to use wands, if they did the battle would never end, yet pcs can which pretty much removes all threat of death as long as one caster can stay alive. The biggest problem is the fact you get so many charges. I understand potions because you would go broke buying potions and would use them wisely. The economy of wands seems cheesy. I'm mostly just griping because I am a monk and I went for sponge as opposed to hitter. What good is someone that can't be killed when nobody will ever get killed with wands around. I like the fact there is a limit to spells, which wands completely remove. I understand there use outside of battle, but maybe there should be some loops to jump through during battle.
Can I use a dagger for both melee and ranged and is a thrown dagger considered melee or ranged? "Melee weapons are used for making melee attacks, though some can be thrown as well. Ranged weapons include thrown weapons or projectile weapons that are NOT EFFECTIVE in melee." - Core Rulebook I want to pick up the opening volley feat and I just want to make sure throwing the dagger would qualify as the ranged attack. Also if I upgrade the dagger to +1 what is the chances the dagger will break when thrown?
Yeah I'm talking more about real world, the Pathfinder alignment system is pretty black and white now that I've looked at it again. :( Which does indeed suggest being good would be hard since most societies in game are horrible and niceties would have to be foregone in many situations. "To suggest that people who can prepare spells to detect or protect against individual alignments would see any action they don't like as being "evil" instead of whatever alignment it actually is, is a pretty ridiculous claim." Again I was talking about real life. Look at Democrats and Republicans they certainly think of the other side as evil, some would go so far as to say controlled by the devil. So in game you are totally correct, being evil according to core is being a piece of crap and never doing what is right for humanity, only doing what is right for yourself, especially at others expense.

I think Anzyr makes perfect sense, I think it is you that does not understand that his viewpoint of what everyone considers good is what is socially accepted and NOT what is right. Obviously the good thing and the right thing is the same to the person considering it but to society it is not. Society thinks it is acceptable to live off slaves as long as you do not see them and if a person thought the right thing to do was to kill the slave masters he would also think it a good, but society would certainly label such a person as evil. One is lawful good and the other is chaotic good but both would consider the other viewpoint evil.
"Jesus IS Yawheh. To think this is not true requires either ignorance, complete rejection of New Testament scripture, or bottomless theological self delusion." - Atarlost I guess Thomas Jefferson was ignorant or delusional. I like the tales of Aesop, the history of Rome and Greek mythology. Just because I don't take them as fact doesn't mean I have to reject them entirely.
I like the idea of awesome acts per day and link them with the physical attributes and times per day can be the average of the two physical attributes bonus points. So have a few awesome acts in each category and force the warrior to choose one Con/Dex Str/Dex Str/Con So if you have a +3 in Strength and +2 in Dex you would get 2 awesome acts a day in the Str/Dex category. Something like autohit or double move etc....Con/Dex could have a shake it off or impervious to physical 1 round fa etc.... Str/Con could have double base bonus or impervious to magic 1 round fa.
