Here's Ouachitonian's submission. Took me some time to work out all the kinks, write out some background, etc. Drystan is, mechanically, a Jotun Paragon 10/Soulknife 20/Pyrokineticist 10 Mythic Champion 1/Overmind 1 with the Boons Evolution's Chosen (Half-Celestial and Paladin Templates) and Well-Traveled Wanderer (Crimson Templar prestige class). Mechanically he's a Jotun, but in-character he's a (half-celestial) fire giant; the offspring of the Empyreal Lord Ragathiel and his wife, a fire giantess. He has a surprising number of skill points, but is still mostly here to hit things with his Sacred Avenger and mindblade-whip. Especially if they're evil. He's always ready to smite evil. Though he does understand that there are gradations and sometimes you have to work with lesser eveil (while trying to redeem them, of course) to fight greater evil (ie, he's not going to pick fights with any evil party members). There are probably still things in my sheet that need to be tweaked, due to how I had to kludge stuff in because HeroLab was *not* designed for builds this crazy. lol. I'll look back over it again, but if someone else notices something, let me know.

Ok, so, I'm a few days behind. Thanksgiving will do that to a man. First, did we ever decide if Vindictive Bastard works for a CG paladin? Or should I just ignore the alignment requirement entirely?
On starting equipment, instead of +1 armor, can I start with armor that's only masterwork, but made of a special material? I'm thinking specifically of mithral in my case, but others might be interested for other reasons.
So...Coeranys. 7 provinces seems like a lot. Any pointers for someone new to the system?

I’m going to step away as well, at least for now. I might have been able to keep up with the pace of this game normally, but my work has gotten really busy lately, and that’s likely to persist through mid-May. After things drop off, if y’all are open to it, I may come back. But for the next couple of months, at least, I need to step away. Sorry. I should have spent more time thinking about that before starting a game this time of year. Happy gaming, everyone!

In your right hand you gain a piece of the treasure map. In your left hand a card and an iron scarab beetle figurine appears. If your hands were full then they would appear at your feet.
It seems to have rolled 3 times instead of 2? A wyvern? Where did that gold come from? Do I get that too? What's with the map and scarab? They don't seem to relate to the rolls.

Drystan spends some time browsing the temple, looking though various books and collections of statues, before he comes across one that immediately jumps out at him; an angelic figure, with five flaming wings rising from his back. The statue is labeled "Ragathiel, the General of Vengeance". After a bit more searching, he is able to track down a chronicle that speaks of Ragathiel. A risen devil, now a burning angel who commands heaven's armies, guards its boundaries? This is the one." Unsure quite how deities are addressed in this...place, he does his best to address him nonetheless. "Ragathiel, if thou canst hear me, I beseech thine holy aid. Guide me in this place, and make me your champion, a force for good here, and burning punishment to evildoers. Amen." He looks around. Hmm. How do I know if that worked?

"Gods, you say? That's very interesting. Is it common to pray to all of them, or devote yourself to just one, as you have?" He hesitates a moment as attention is drawn to him. "Pardon--the name's Bill," he says. "Though in this new world, my name sounds awfully drab."
"You could always choose a new one. A new name for a new life, as it were." Drystan says, turning to the newcomer. Turning back to the cleric, he says "Interesting. *Scorching Ray, that is.
**Something that scales like the Elemental bloodline's 3rd level power or the Flame Mystery's Molten Skin ability would be great. But I'd take just a flat value too, of course. Either way, I'd probably use the human paladin's favored class bonus to boost resistances further.

After a few moments a gorgeous glowing girl appears before you and says in a disinterested voice, "Ah another life cut short before experiencing a full life. Welcome to the afterlife. You are in fact dead." She waits a few moments to let it sink in before touching up her hair and continuing in a prideful way, "I am Alethia, a goddess that guides humans who die young to the afterlife."
Getting a bit serious she gives you your options, "Now you have two choices before you. You may ascend to heaven, to tell you the truth heaven isn't the dreamy place you all imagine it to be. The dull place is full of spirits, you don't even have a physical body anymore so you can't do anything sexual, either. Just basking in the sun and working."
"Or go to a new world one of adventure, action, and like the world that you came from. This world has been invaded by dark forces that continue to spread and decimate the population of the world. You get to go with your body and memories intact. You will get to bring one great ability with you as well, a weapon of great power, a supreme ability, or even an ally of some sort."
"There will be many opportunities to change as you wish." She spins and a flurry of cards come from her hands and land before you as suggestions. After a few moments she says annoyed, "Hurry up and choose.... you know that I have a lot of dead people to offer this choice too as well."
Leo is momentarily too stunned to move, but he gets over it. "I uh, oh. That was unexpected. Another chance. Ok, uh, I, well...yes, I'm not ready to be dead. I want to be a hero. Remake my body, make me a champion of good, as much an angel as a man. Give me power over fire, to purify the world of evil."
Ok, this is Ouachitonian's submission. I used a version of my name in the background, but that man is dead. He decided to take a new one for his second chance. Ok, I just didn't want to create yet another new alias, so I reused one. lol
One Special Ability: Fire He wants to be Heaven's purifying flame, feared by evildoers! Wish: Half-celestial Template He wants to be remade as a holy champion, as much an angel as a man! Starting Gear: Regular clothes; boots, cargo pants, shirt, jacket, trucker hat, sunglasses. Wallet, boot knife, change, Gerber multitool.
Class Intention: Paladin, Tortured Crusader Archetype Charismatic he ain't. I'll decide exactly who he worships later.
Probably Ragathiel if we're using the normal Golarion gods (in which case I may build toward Crimson Templar).
I left a few thinks out of the statblock in the alias for the moment. Notably any gear and his bonus languages. Should I add languages from his old life? Seems like those would be useless here. Maybe as part of the reincarnation he got languages that work in this new world?

I think I'm going to expand into the Might word, and take Falling Meteor Strike:
With a moment's concentration, the Godbound can smash any single
non-magical object of less than ten feet in diameter. If the object is
larger than that, a ten-foot high, wide, and deep hole is punched into
it. If the object is magically durable or resilient, the Godbound must
Commit Effort for the scene to smash it. The focus required for this
blow makes it useless against mobile enemies, but if the Godbound
strikes an immobile or helpless target with this gift they suffer four
points of damage for every level of the Godbound.
Door locked? Not a problem. Need a hole in his wall? Easily done. We need to tunnel under this fortress? Alright, hang on a minute.
I did want to ask a couple of questions though. I guess I nevr notice the general ability you get automatically for having a word. For example, for Fire:
Heroes with the Fire Word have an invincible defense against flame
and smoke. They may wield fire as a magical weapon with a range of
up to 50 feet and a 1d10 damage die.
So...I'm immune to Fire Damage? I mean, that makes total sense, but I don't think I knew that. Likewise, since I'm picking up Might:
A Godbound of the Word of Might is tremendously powerful, gaining
a Strength score of 19 and a +4 attribute modifier for Strength.
This prowess allows them to lift or break anything that is humanly possible to so handle, though truly supernatural feats of strength require the use of a gift or miracle.
Male Jotun (Half-Celestial Fire Giant) Gestalt Soulknife20/Jotun Paragon 10/Pyrokineticist 10/Champion 1
I still need to figure out what gift I’m going to add. I was looking for something constant, I figure I have enough that require Effort already, but I’m not seeing much. Might go with just the +2 to a stat.

Title(s): The Burning Knight, The Sword of Fire
Home: Ragathiel's Fortress and/or Plane of Fire*
Alignment: Lawful Good
Areas of Concern: Vengeance, Fire, Valor, Swordsmanship
Worshipers: Paladins and other knights and/or crusaders seem obvious. Eventually fire-type outsiders (at least some subset of them).
Domains: Good, Law, Fire, War
Favored Weapon: Bastard Sword**
Symbol: Flaming sword with gold-winged quillons
Sacred Animal: Lion
Sacred Colors: Gold & Scarlet
*I'm angling for either Ragathiel's Herald/Right Hand Man (in which case he'd presumably be based out of Ragathiel's Fortress) or possibly challenging Ymeri for lordship of the Plane of Fire (Which, from an OOC perspective, is something I'd like to see Ragathiel do. It'd be nice for at least one Elemental Lord not to be NE).
**While we're talking about rebuilding characters: Technically a Crimson Templar has several class features that require a bastard sword, but I'd totally be up for switching to a Greatsword. Perhaps later on, after he surpasses petty mortal concerns like class abilities.

The days were a blur of activity for Drystan. No major incursions encroached upon the fortress. But that didn't mean it was safe. Each day he took wing, making long, looping flights of the area around the fortress. At least once a day, sometimes multiple times, he caught sight of a scouting party of fiends or their mortal minions, heading in a direction that would take them near the fortress. Mortal patrols were purged with fire raining from the sky, while stronger forces suddenly found a golden angel in their midst, smiting foes with the wrath of a vengeful demigod. No demons survived these encounters. A Crimson Templar offers no mercy to foes incapable of accepting redemption. The few mortals who survived the flames he left to retreat, and spread fearful tales of a region where purifying flame appears from nowhere to strike interlopers.
