I have attached the following link for a specific Monster as an example: http://www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/monster-listings/aberrations/dark-young-of -shub-niggurath Now I understand that if the tentacle attack hits, the grab attempt is a free action and if successful, constriction occurs. As the creature has 4 tentacle attacks, can it grapple four opponents? I ask because, when maintain a grapple it state it is a standard action to maintain? So initially you would have to relinquish 3 of the grapples, and only maintain one grapple? Basically, this would prevent any additional attacks as long as the creature continued the attack on that one creation (Maintaining grapple via standard action to cause constriction damage). I need help understanding this a little better. THANKS!

Hey everyone, I am wondering on some opinions on removing arrows after they have impacted the target dealing "hit" point damage. Would is be a move action/Standard action to remove the arrow? Would it cause any damage? (This would be occurring during combat). The reason I ask is because silence is being cast on arrows and constantly shutting down spell casters because they are firing the arrow on subsequent rounds at the spell caster(s), silencing them. Now, obviously the spell caster is not going to start attack with a dagger, and of course, I could include feats such a Metamagic Silence, but what other solutions are there? How would other GM/s rule this? Regards, RB
I do not want both of these items:
If it is not possible to get just the Shadows of Gallowspire then please cancel both orders. Either way, I need to cancel my subscription because I am leaving for a few months and only need book 6. If I can get book 6 only, then please process and then cancel subscription, if I require both, then cancel entire order. Thank you

Hey, I am looking at magic item creation and one item that I want to get a cost of creating is Boots of Displacement. They would effectively be the same as boots of speed (10 rounds a day, click heels to activate, same spell level, etc.). When creating the item would you use the same base cost as the boots but change the spell of creation to be the appropriate illusion spell in this case? So boots of displacement as mentioned above would have a base cost of 12,000 GP? Thanks
Hey Everyone, Please do not start a debate about how useful or useless the current version of Hunter's Bond is. My objective is to get a list of suggestions that can be a alternative replacement of equal power at 4th level. Here are some I have come up with and I would like to see what other people have for suggestions and comments please. 1) Two additional knowledge class skills and 2 skills points per level that have to be knowledge based. (This is based on my character history of being a pathfinder society member. His education at Absalom gives his the additional knowledge) 2) One Additional favored Enemy at 4th level, total bonus at 5th level cannot be higher than +4, so you would have at 5th level, +4,+4,+2. 3) Grouping some of the humanoid types together or outsiders. You pick three and the bonus applies to the entire group you picked. For example, I picked Humans,Elves, and Orcs (all humanoid category and my bonus applies to all equally), or the same thing with outsiders. Those are a few I have thought of. Please leave comments and additional options you think could be considered as replacements that are of equal caliber to the animal companion they have access to.
Hey Everyone, Why are people always arguing about how the discrepancy between Wizards (and sometimes casters in general) & Melee characters is still to great? If you want complete balance why do people just not play 4th Edition D&D, they did a great job balancing the classes and the game is terrible. Then the same people argue that role playing is becoming more like playing a video game (especially when it comes to character optimization) and video games strive for THE ULTIMATE BALANCE, especially those MMORPG's. I suspect in the future they will make all Table Tops where every class is of equal power and equal balance. I play all of the classes and enjoy all of the classes but I wonder if eventually all games will head in the same direction. -Yeah I know
Greetings, Looking for players in western Massachusetts. I am located in west Springfield, so anyone in Springfield, Holyoke, Westfield, and so on. I am currently GMing Legacy of Fire and would like to pick up a few players who would like to join as players. I typically travel to southern New Hampshire to play as well. I am also willing to play if someone else is GMing a Pathfinder game. I will check back here or leave me a private message. I hope there are some players in western Mass!
Hey everyone, I have read the rules for crafting items as my PC has taken craft wondrous items. I am a fifth level caster and I want to craft a headband of vast intelligence +2. The CL is listed as 8 while the requirements are Fox's Cunning, and 2000 gold pieces. This would take two days to create. The DC to create the magic item would be 5 + 8 or 13. Now is it correct that I can craft this item or does your caster level actually have to be 8? On pages 548-550 I do not see any mention that this is the case with the exception of crafting magic weapons and armor where you have to have a caster level 3 times the enhancement bonus. --Thanks
Hey everyone. I am running legacy of Fire and one of the players wanted to play the witch from the advanced Players Guide final play test. I restricted the sleep hex ability to only be able to affect targets that are equal to the characters HD or lower. The ability still scales in power with level in both DC and creatures it is able to affect. Am I being fair as a DM?
Hey everyone, My friend has wanted to order the core rule book but I have had him hold off until newer editions of the book were printed simply by showing him my book. Mostly due to the quality of the hardcover books. My main disappointment was with the binding on the core rule book and a smaller point was the entire cover is basically pretty s++&ty quality. Seems to just peal off on both the core rulebook and monster compendium. Other than that I like the books. Page quality, ink quality, and overall writing is great. I have also not invested in any books recently hoping that the books are printed with more quality. The soft cover books seem to be fine which is amusing to me because I like books that are typically larger hard cover books like the 3.5 books. It is amusing because I hate the pathfinder hardcore books right now. I was just wondering what changes have been made in the past year if any. --Thanks
Hello, I do not have the core rulebook in front of me so it may be clarified in the spell rule for haste. If you haste a creature with 2 claw attacks, and a bit attack, does he get an extra attack with the claw or either or? Again, I do not have the core book in front of me so it may be clarified in the rules description. Also, If your base attack bonus is +6, enough for a second attack, can you add the bite attack with your 2 claw attacks. For example, you have the 2 claw attacks and a higher base attack bonus does not increase your amount of claw attacks but adds more natural attacks. So would your attacks be 2 claws +6, and a bite +6. Is the bite considered a primary attack with the 2 claws? I ask because I remember reading that the additional attack (bite in this case) would suffer a -5 to hit giving you 2 claws +6, and a bite at +1. I read something on the forums that said you do not suffer the -5 penalty to the bite attack because it is a primary attack as well but all other natural attacks like hooves are secondary attacks and suffer the penalty. The last questions, are the claw attacks bonus damage from strength just added from the modifier, and the bite attack is 1.5 str. --Thanks |
