Can you take an alchemist's bomb and target an empty square instead of a grid intersection? Could this potentially cause bomb splash damage to all foes within 5 feet on the empty square? Assuming that your attack roll overcame any cover bonuses that might apply to the empty square... Or are we stuck with only attacking grid intersections? If you miss with a bomb, you will affect 9 squares, but if you throw it on the ground, you only get 4 squares from an intersection?

You need to register on rpol.net and then send me an rmail containing your character name. I also need a last name for you character if you are going to have one. my name is demoneyes. Once I get your rmail, I can add your character to the game and unlock your character sheet. The Haunting of Harrowstone III, that is the correct one. Another option is to put in a RTJ - REQUEST TO JOIN.

Yes, this is a play-by-post game. I am asking players to post at least every 48 hours, but this group usually seems to post most every day. Things may slow down a bit on the weekends.
I am recruiting one, but possibly two main healers for The haunting of Harrowstone. The game is hosted on rpol.net. There are currently two groups, and the game has been running for three or four months now. Send me a pm on rpol.net for more info. my user name is demoneyes and my character name is grim reaper.
Do you have any pathfinder clericing experience? I am running The Carrion Crown adventure path. If you have sufficient free time then there may be a spot opening up within the next week or so. If you want to learn more, the register on rpol.net and send me a private message. the name is grim reaper.

Hi, I am running a Play by Post on rpol.net I am currently shopping for a level 1 main healer for my second group. The module is: The Haunting of Harrowstone (Carrion Crown Adventure Path) If interested, make a profile on rpol.net and send me a private message. My name is demoneyes.
Pathfinder: The haunting of Harrowstone, Carrion Crown adventure path I am looking to recruit four reserve players to step in whenever any of my current players step out. There are currently two groups of four players. You must post a primary and a secondary character concept.
Log onto rpol.net and send me a request to join or a private message on rpol.net and I will add you to the reserved player threads for groups one and two. My username on rpol.net is demoneyes. There you will be able to post your character concepts. Don’t post your concepts in the private message to me or the RTJ, as the other players won’t be able to see it.
You did a great job putting your character together and showing me all of the things I want to see. I saw a couple of minor things, but they are so minor that I really dont care about them. As far as I am concerned your character is approved. I just added you to the gaming thread and this is the link: The group is currently finishing up their scuffle. That should be resolved in the next 2-3 days I hope. Anyhow anytime after the current encounter is over will be fine for you to make your appearance. Have a great day, and we all look forward to gaming with you :)

Hi! and thankyou for your interest. The cleric is a follower of Abadar. He has taken the Inevitable subdomain (APG) and the Defense subdomain (APG). He is limited to 2 channels per day and it seems that he is going to be memorizing defensive spells such as sanctuary and shield. You do need to know that undead are a large part of this module, so mind-affecting effects will not be of much use. I cannot comment on the other modules in the adventure path in terms of mind affecting effects. I havn't seen them yet. Also a devotee of Zon Kuthon is likely to become allies with the bad guys. This could be disruptive for the adventure path. You can follow Zon-Kuthon as long as you agree not to do this. Ustalav is full of evil inspired people so it does fit in with the setting in general. Once you register with rpol.net, I will need your user name on that site and a case sensitive character name in order to add you to the game in general. Once Your character is approved I will then add you to the game thread and you may begin posting at your leisure. You will be allowed to step in and Introduce yourself to Kendra Lorrimor, the Professor's daughter. Simply give her an excuse for your lateness. All of this will make sense once you read the gaming thread.
Pathfinder: The Haunting of Harrowstone This is a call to arms! It is for those who are prepared to face the pinnacle of horror. Terror and misery are best friends. Do you dare make their acquaintance? Friendships often come with a price. Who upon the face of Golarion has forged a meaningful friendship with the good Professor Petros Lorrimor of Ravengro within the county of Canterwall surrounded by the misery and horror of Ustalav? The good professor retired from his teaching career 15 years ago, and moved to the small town of Ravengro. From there he has continued his research. His fields of study include defense against evil, secret societies and wizardry. Professor Lorrimor has traveled Golarion extensively, and he has met many different people from all walks of life. He sometimes sees value where others may not think to look…..
Requirements:
This recruitment is for just one replacement character. This game has only been running for a few weeks. The party is still at the tail end of the first encounter. The party consists of A Fighter, Wizard, and Cleric so almost anything will fit in well with the party. This game takes place on rpol.net, and Your character must be approved before you can begin play. Only after approval will you be given access to the game thread. I go over character sheets thoroughly in every detail. You must register with rpol.net and type/copy/paste your character into that site.

Yeah I finally figured that out today. I deleted the other game and made a thread for each group under the original game. I am not sure what you mean by re-booting. I have presumably added You Favela, Naivan, Ryvan, and Nanya, but I can only see the character sheet for Nanya so far on rpol.net. It may be that there is some case sensitivity going on. I capitalized the first letter of each character name. Maybe that is keeping me from seeing character sheets.
Ryvan Azstalos wrote: I joined rpol.net. I'm not yet finding how to make a new character there. Do I have to be added to a game first? My username is: jakesouth Hi Ryvan, I think I have you added to the game now. I am learning how things work over there on the fly. I guess the way it works is that I need a user name at rpol.net before you guys can create characters.
Hello everyone! I want to thank you for all of your submissions. It looks like there are enough players to run two groups, so that is what I will do. I enjoyed reading all your character backgrounds, and there certainly is room for all of you. The only change that I would like to see is for Favela to perhaps upgrade to a beefier class. She would need to step into the role of main melee person as well and main tank. This adventure path is largely urban, so A ranger would be good for tracking of course. However a dedicated tank/melee person to back up all those squishy caster types is certainly important. The first group will be more traditional in composition whereas the second group will be a little more unorthodox. I am interested in seeing how well group two can perform with this compositon. Group 1:
Group 2
I would like to run this game on rpol.net if you guys are agreeable. I think that site has better functionality than this site does, so I would like to give it a try. Ohh and by the way someone did ask about Ultimate Combat. I am willing to allow it at some point after it does come out. I noticed that some of your character backgrounds have spent previous time in Ravengro. This is acceptable of course, but you cannot be origanlly from Ravengro. You could always be from somewhere else in Ustalav. Those of you who have spent time in Ravengro quickly realized that the locals dont warm up easily. You guys are still outsiders as far as the locals are concerned. At any rate, I am hoping that you guys will register with rpol.net and start fleshing out your characters there. Once your characters are complete, you can post your character names as they appear on rpol.net.
Unless anyone drops out I think we can consider recruitment closed.

Everyone, take your hat off for Una, the female half-orc witch from Belkzen. When Una's father died in battle, the social status of Una and her mother fell drastically within the Dead Eye Clan. Seeking protection and avoiding slavery, the two females fled. Their random wanderings landed them to a cave occupied by an all female witch's coven consisting entirely of orcs and half-orcs. Here Una grew up learning how to commune with and draw power from the great beyond. Unfortunately, the cave that the coven occupied contained a lot of mithril ore. Eventually, a Dwarven expedition came to claim the cave for themselves. They overwhelmed the coven through sheer numbers rather than skill. Many of the women fought to the bloody death in line with the finest traditions of orc-hood. Una was faced with certain death........that is if it hadn't been for Lord Galron. Lord Galron, a dashing, wickedly handsome human paladin of Iomedae appeared out of nowhere towards the end of the blood bath. Lord Galron summoned water and made it rain down upon the combatants simply to cause them to take pause. Galron immediately broke into his best diplomatic gaze, and within minutes he got the few remaining half-orcs and mob of dwarves to stand down. When Lord Galron spared Una's life, her heart immediatly turned to pudding. She was so taken that she grabbed him and inflicted a wet slimy kiss upon him. This memory will forever haunt Lord Galron. Lord Galron and Una parted ways of course, but Una writes letters to her love regularly on stationary with a crest at the top that identifies her as Lady Unalfia. Lord Galron, a noble-born paladin of Varisia finds this practice to be most embarrassing and irritating, but Una will not give up so easily. She is determined to win the heart of her gallant Lord Galron at any cost. She has taken up the life of an adventurer specifically so that she may impress him with her bravery and strong will to endure. She followed him to Varisia, and there she will make her mark and win her man. This character is fleshed out on paper as level one currently, but it hasn't been entered into the website yet. As far as skill monkeys go, she will have 13 skill ranks at level two possibly even 14 if I choose to add one more for favored class.
I would like to submit my idea for a Half-Orc Monk of the Sacred Mountain. Most people call him: The Watcher The Watcher grew up in the hungry mountains (Belkzin) as a slave of the Rotten Tongue Tribe. The tribe periodically raided Lastwall and Ustalav. The Watcher is so named because he has a tendency to stare people down unconsciously as if he is looking right through them. This trait enabled him to survive as a slave in an orc tribe because any other behavior would have been interpreted as a sign of weakness. They would have killed him instantly if he hadn't learned to project strength and arrogance with his every waking breath. The Watcher was never given a proper name while he remained a slave. He still awaits one. The orcs would make him fight other slaves to the death for their amusement. They would throw weapons into the pit them to use, but the Watcher always refused to pick them up. He insisted on killing with his bare hands, and he has developed quite a tase for it. The orcs of the Rotten Tongue tribe considered this form of combat to be inferior, so they called The Watcher terrible names and insulted him constantly. The Watcher did eventually escape his captivity once he became older and wiser.
Eros Tristil is a half-elf Ranger. He was previously an archer in the military, but he was dishonorably discharcharged. The unofficial reason was because he slept with his commanding officer's wife. The official reason was because he was disruptive to morale due to the fact that he resents authority and often disobeys orders. He turned to rangering after the military because he had to survive off the land seeing as how he was discharged with no money and no friends. |
