so I originally made this character for PFS but decided that he's probably more appropriate for a king maker campaign because I wanted him to eventually be like the advisor to somebody important I need to lower his stats to 15 points and actually write in the backstory that I have for him (and add an NPC level).

basically he's a seeker of knowledge. he sees this as an opportunity to discover knowledge and arcane power no one else alive has. when i can get to a keyboard i will elaborate.

As the scene explodes into chaos, Parumartish casts a handful of powdered iron into the air and begins chanting and weaving complicated signs with his hands. When he finishes chanting, he points to Davor and the iron powder begins to swirl and coalesce around the inquisitor who begins to grow larger.

Me too, I was just pointing out that it wouldn't affect the ghoul's turn since it went first, so it made sense that you hadn't mentioned it.

Parumartish's eyes narrow slightly in annoyance as the ghoul manages to assault his allies before he can react. He pulls himself out of the muck and away from the undead fiend to invoke a spell of illusion.

Oh that's where Davor was! Anyway, the plan was to make the indicated area appear to be natural walls in the cave.

Right, but mindless undead are immune to mind-affecting spells, so I'm not sure if an illusory stone wall would hinder the zombies in any way.

I think you have to go before the ghoul to get it with a readied trip.

I have a question though. Apparently, illusions aren't necessarily mind-affecting, and silent image doesn't have the [mind-affecting] descriptor, so... how would that work?

I'm just sad because it's a weak argument. I don't stop being responsible for what happens to my things because I hand them to someone else unless that person does something unreasonable with whatever it is. If my tablet breaks and most reasonable people can agree that it was an accident, then it could just as easily have happened while it was in my possession. So I would have no reasonable argument to support monetary compensation. If you break my tablet because you decided it would make a nice coaster or football, on the other hand, that's completely different.

If there's only one space between you and the enemy, they can just take a 5-ft. step to avoid your reach weapon and close with you.

Parumartish looks up from his spellbook and frowns at the suggestion that killing these men should be as simple as declaring them evil, but says nothing on the matter as these Steel Wyvern thugs aren't likely to give them much choice.

"While I don't expect they will be particularly receptive, might someone try talking to them first?" he suggests.
