Have an opening on my Tuesday night Pathfinder Mummy's Mask game- details below!

Character creation

-Starting level 3

-20 or 15 point buy (only 1 stat below 8 before modifiers, no stat above 18 before modifiers)

-3000 starting gold

-Races allowed are:

Core, Catfolk, Gnoll, Ifrit, Kitsune, Oread ,Nagaji, Ratfolk, Slyph, Undine (20 point buy)

Aasimar, Fetching, Tengu, Tiefling (15 point buy)

-Books allowed: Core Rulebook, Advanced Player's Guide, Advanced Class Guide, Ultimate Combat, Ultimate Magic, Occult Adventures, Ultimate Equipment, Inner Sea Gods, Inner Sea Magic, People of the Sands, Ultimate Intrigue

-Must use Unchained versions of classes if available

-Only one archetype allowed per class

-Back ground skills in play

-2 traits- 1 must be from the Player's Guide, the other from list of approved sources

-1 Drawback

-Max HP at 1st level. Level ups are 1/2 HD+1

-No evil alignments

-Must have background story

Game stuff

-Game nights will be 2 out of 3 Tuesdays (Play 2 Tuesdays in a row, take 1 week off, repeat cycle) at 830 PM (CST) until 1130 PM (CST).

-We will be using Maptool for combat/visual aids and Discord for voice/campaign management.

-All character sheets must be up to date on Discord after each session.

-Minimum of 3 players and GM for session to make. If you are not there, your PC will be left somewhere doing something outside the group. If that is not reasonable, then someone else will play your PC

-As online plays at a slower pace, please have your character's action ready prior to it being your turn.

-GM has final say on all rules. I'm not going to debate something you don't agree with during the session.

-I believe in the rule of cool, before the rule of roll, so try and make your character interesting out of combat as well.

-If you are rude, offensive and/or act like a jerk to others, I reserve the right to remove you from the group.

Other stuff

-I would prefer if you submit two characters for me to choose from, but I'm not going to make this a requirement. I will choose from what I feel are the 5 players with the most potential for the game and put the others on a waiting list if they would like.

-If you aren't familiar with Maptool, we can give a quick tutorial. It's pretty easy to use as a player and we will have some people in the group who have been using it since 2006.

-If you have any questions, feel free to post them on here.

-I will take submissions until December 4th and plan on starting the selected player on December 11th.

Mort, I’m referring specifically to whether or not you will allow the Tiefling’s spell like ability to be replaced as stated in Blood of Fiends. It’s down towards the bottom of the page you linked. Dante is an Oni Spawn.

As far as where I’m located, I’m CST. I sleep from 1130 PM to 5 AM my time. I can post anytime I’m not sleeping.

I view alignment as a fluid, moving thing. There is much more to one's thoughts, motivations, desires, worldviews, etc. than can be summed up in the simple axis of an alignment. I don't think anyone PC or NPC is "good", "neutral" or "evil" on every single subject or thought- that may change wildly. I think alignment is a guide, but I'm happy to play it strictly if that's what you want. From Cavenn's perspective, he identified the creature as a demon after walking into an evil looking room (skulls surrounding a pool) and assumes the creature has something to do with the troubles in town (whether that is correct or not).

As far as charging and attacking unprovoked goes, that was an attempt to gain a tactical advantage from his perspective on what he assumes is an evil creature in an attempt to subdue it. He can act impulsive at times. I feel like that is pretty in character for him. Sometimes you don't wait for the other side to start shooting first. (Han shot first ;) )

I hope I am not coming across as whiny, just posting my thoughts on the subject. I'll change his actions from his last round.

Here’s a quick backstory for Kazer. I’ll likely add to it in more detail if selected. I also like to add in details as the adventure progresses and bits and pieces come to life. He is a frontline type who relishes in taking and dealing out mighty blows. His crunchy bits are a few posts above. As an aside, I’ve never played or GM’ed this AP- looks like a lot of fun though! Good luck to all!

Kazer Theorric backstory:
Kazer Theorric is a drunk. An inebriated churl. A vulgur oaf. A spawn of Lamashtu, even. Kazer has heard all these insults whispered, spat and spoken in his time in Nirmathas and Molthune. Does he like to drink? Oh yes. But what's wrong with revelry? With enjoying oneself. Every now and again. Or more often than not. Either way Kazer prefers to spend at least some portion of every day drinking his cheap whiskey. In fact, when he gets in a good dust up, he likes to drink DURING the fight. Gets him excited. Keeps his pulse quickening. Helps him tap into that deep seated anger that he can only let out when it's time to bash in someone's skull.
What does he have to be mad about? To hear him tell the tale, what does he have not to be inflamed about? His birth as a "demon spawn" even though both of his parents were clearly human-at least that's what he's been told. His bright red and black skin, yellow eyes and orange beard that made him stand out among all his peers and wherever he goes to this day. That he has lived most of his life exiled and ostresized because he looks, talks and walks just a bit different than most others. He's angry that he has to tie up his tail in a loop so it doesnt drag on the ground and attract even more attention from the common folk. And that's just off the top of his head.
Kazer has a boisterous, grinding manner about him that isn't helped by his somewhat intimidating appearance. He speaks truth and does what he thinks should be done- damn the consequences. Life is too short to live with regret about what you should or could have done. He believes in complete freedom for others at any cost. Law and order hold no sway over him, only right and wrong. That's why joining up with the Nirmanthi Irregulars has proven to be one of the best decisions he's made in recent years. Crushing Molthune and goblin skull gives a deep satisfaction all the way down to his core. Hells, it's the most alive he's felt since leaving the Fangwood all those years ago. But that and ALL the rest is a story for another time...

I’d like to discuss designating someone as the primary loot person (if that is ok with Sphen) for record keeping purposes. I’m happy to do it if no one wants to, but I find that it usually keeps things more organized. I usually just use a shared excel sheet in my other games and it seems to work well. Thoughts?

We are here based on the note found by the halfling server at the Rusty Dragon. It put us into the Glassworks looking for Ameiko. Now that we have fought some more gobbos, it looks like it may have something to do with the initial attack on Sandpoint. We don’t have proof of that yet though.

I just think Cavenn (in character) sees Elery as reckless and childish at this point and it is something he wants to address with the group after the current situation is resolved.

OOC, I'm fine with it because it has added an element to the roleplay (if that was Elery's intent) aspect. I can see why Zamdoc is frustrated though, it could be construed as one player making all the decisions for the entire group. My vote would be to address it in a roleplay scenario after we are finished in here (or after the Glassworks in its entirety) and then see if we can find some more common ground in the discussion if we deem it necessary.

Agreed, Cavenn is more concerned about the caster at this point. It certainly looks suspicious after the note, the goblins, etc. And where is the father?

Also, unless I'm missing something, was Harness able to double move and attack at the same time?

I’d be interested in Kingmaker. I can make any weekday work as long as it ends by the time my kiddos get out of school. So if you’re thinking of starting at 1800 GMT, that worksfor me. I’d be happy to take on any role, but might lean towards the arcane as I haven’t had a chance to play one in awhile. Depending on party makeup, 25 point buy can be overkill, IMHO.

I'm interested. I'm happy to play any role but would like to play a dwarven or gnome ranger, hunter or slayer. I can make the post requirements daily (at a minimum). I had to step anyway from PbP games abruptly at the end of 2016 due to a personal matter, but that is all settled now.
