![]() It's been a long time, over half a month since we've heard anything from the GM. If I were in his position, if possible, I'd have left word or even posted from my phone--something, as best I could. Maybe his laptop died again, his phone got destroyed, his pet got sick, maybe he himself caught the flu, and he had to move out of his house, and a ton of other things...I don't know. There are numerous valid excuses that are perfectly fine and I don't hold it against him. Anything is possible. At some point, I'm going to go looking for another game and consider this one lost. That time is coming up very soon. I'd rather be playing than not, unfortunately. I hope no one holds a grudge for that, and if I do leave and you start back up, I wish you all the best. Feel free to use my character as an NPC in that case, as I'm sure she'd want to help still. I, however, am going to be moving on very soon; as in this next week if things don't improve. Sorry, all. ![]()

![]() While I appreciate the roleplay, we are now breaching into coming to a resolution with voting. That is not something I'm going to take part in as a player with Lilianne until the Gm has had an opportunity to post regarding everything posted before his absence due to his computer. Lilianne asked a couple of questions that I feel will be important to know, and others have stated things that I'd like to hear the insights of what the Councillor thinks regarding them. The group just keeps posting though in response to each other without waiting for him, which is fine to reason and parse out the information already given, but now we are venturing into kind of making up our minds/voting based on limited information where there may or may not be more to learn. As I said, I enjoy the roleplay and have been tempted to join it myself, but I'm not going to until I see a response from the GM. :) Just so you know where I'm at. I'm not vacant. I'm here. Just waiting. ![]()

"Yes, the Councillor here is a servant of the people and one of them. Quite impressive," she comments concerning his occupation.
She looks up from the map and pulls back to stand tall and graceful once more. "What can you tell us about the character of Mr. Olaf Vertran. You stated that he was not among the dead. This can mean he is either dead somewhere else, held captive, or party to these acts. Who would know him best to know if his character would be counter to being involved?" It is also clear to me that they have escalated as their skills have developed. The first, being sloppy, leaving traces behind, the second, attempting to make people vanish without a trace. And now, whole caravans gone. No doubt there is magic at hand, and quite possibly memory magic if I were to guess. We shall see though." "The first caravan happened in the west." (I think Peldan's Helm is north of the Moonsea Ride so I wasn't sure you meant it was South of Peldan's Helm? Just off the Moonsea Ride?)
She looks to the Councillor. "These events were in order of occurrence? This would mean they are a roving band. Possibly based either out of the west, here, or in the east by the Standing Stone." She then quickly explains so others don't get the wrong idea, "Granted, I'm not saying any of this with certainty, I am just formulating out loud..." ![]()

![]() "It seems so. In truth, I'm surprised," she replies to Aelanurel. It immediately endears these here to her of her kin. The others would see that Lilianne carries a folded-up parasol matching her outfit with a white interior and a black lace trim along its edges. It is of a smaller size, but may very well block out light rain as long as it is not too overpowering. Such an outfit wouldn't last long amid the rains here, but for a ranger, knowing the weather is easy, and she has come from a warm inn arranged by the Chancellor to a warm house. This outfit is purely for show and is to respect the station of the man they meet. As it is, she has no wet clothing to shed and will stand slightly off to the side while others doff their gear. When everyone has finished, she will gently set her perfectly dry parasol down or hang it as is appropriate and will follow the dwarf. Lilianne will utilize her previously rolled diplomacy (improve relationship) to meet the Chancellor in a kind way. "Greetings Chancellor. It is so fine to see you again. It is very easy for caravans to get lost or turned around in the wilds, but on the Moonsea Ride...that should not be possible. Banditry...well...in most cases they are not the brightest of individuals, and not much more so than goblins or orcs. To leave no traces for your men to find...that is strange indeed. As I communicated to you already, both my House and I are behind you and wish to aid you and these here. Is there a location that you would like us to focus on? Could you give us more details of the past caravans that went missing?" She is far improved in health, appearance, and status from the last time he had seen her. He had voiced a wish to explain things more thoroughly today, so I patiently waited. I can give you no real insight." She gestures to Mia. ![]() Appearance:
Lilianne has set her things in order. Her horse is brushed, saddled, and mostly ready to go. Her saddle is oiled, her gear is perfected, but she does not carry everything that she will carry into the wilds on her person or on her horse. This is a social visit. While she rides across town, those she passes will see she is wearing a beautiful white noble's outfit with brilliant gold jewelry weaved into the fabric. Her hair is perfectly styled and she smells of rose and a myriad of frangrant scents that all blend into a refreshing air about her. Her looks are befitting a meeting with the High Councilor.
Lilianne has tanned, near flawless skin with beautifully cute elven ears; not too long and not too short. Her black hair is curled and drapes down the back of her white outfit, creating a stark contrast. Upon her face is makeup even to accentuate her already overwhelming beauty. In her eyes is a gleam of experience and wisdom for what lies ahead. She is no dewy-eyed noble girl. She has centuries of experience and holds herself in an upright pose that communicates as much. Unlike so many others who just traveled into town, she is not in need of a bath at all. Lilianne makes her way on her horse to the path leading to the top of the hill. Her approach is heralded by the gentle clop of hooves upon a rust-colored light steed. Upon its harness is a name, "Axpasados" embossed down the side of it. She will lead him past the others and toward the stable, where hopefully she is met by the stablehand. After a few calming words, she will leave the horse's side and will make her way to the front of the house where others are assembled, as well as a notable dwarf. "Thank you," she responds in kind to him and then looks to the others assembled as the dwarf walks away. There is a trembling elven man who seems to have recognized someone, but as far as she feels comfortable, to Rissa (mainly), she bows her head a little and gestures the others to the side. For those interested in meeting her, her tone is melodious, soothing, and with a hint of sultry raspiness. "Greetings to you. You are well met." Her voice is soft, so as not to also intrude upon the moment with Corwynt and Aela. As far as Mia goes, she does not have any objections to glancing her direction from time to time, nor is there offense written on her face. Whether or not she sees the tiefling is another matter, but Lilianne is more concerned with knowing those before her. ![]()

I have taken this for the abilities more than for the piratey flavor. In flavor, her abilities come from tactics learned in the military, guarding High Forest in her youth. While the later skills, such as bonding with crewmates and swimming were taught by Captain Albatra Festus. Race Build:
Blended View (2 rp): Most elves that represent having darkvision are of a drow heritage. In her case, this is a family trait tied to their ancient deal with a devil for power. It is hereditary much as a sorcerous bloodline would be. Instead of having ties to hell, it is more accurately the ties between the weave that grant it. Those rare elves of her household with this racial trait gain darkvision with a range of 60 feet as well as low-light vision.
Elven Immunities (2 rp): Elves are immune to magic sleep effects and gain a +2 racial saving throw bonus against enchantment spells and effects. Elven Magic (3 rp): Elves receive a +2 racial bonus on caster level checks made to overcome spell resistance. In addition, elves receive a +2 racial bonus on Spellcraft skill checks made to identify the properties of magic items. Fey Thoughts (1 rp): Select two skills: Diplomacy, Use Magic Device. The selected skills are always class skills for the character. Keen Senses (Perception) (2 rp): Elves receive a +2 racial bonus on Perception checks. Low-light Vision (1 rp): Elves can see twice as far as humans in conditions of dim light. Weapon Familiarity (2 rp): Elves are proficient with longbows (including composite longbows), longswords, rapiers, and shortbows (including composite shortbows), and treat any weapon with the word “elven” in its name as a martial weapon. Feat Progression: The primary focus of Lilianne's feats is boosting swordplay. Her secondary focus may be battlefield positioning or intimidation. I tried to include feats in her progression that were not in her focuses, such as toughness which is for longevity, agile maiden which focuses on armor, and careful sneak which focuses on skills.
1. Weapon Focus 1B. Toughness 2B. Agile Maiden 3. Weapon Versatility 4B. Careful Sneak 5. Two-Weapon Fighting 6B. Conciliator (Story) 7. Improved Two-Weapon Fighting 8B. Change of Heart 9. Step Up ![]()

Is that additional abilities like the alt racial traits, or do you pick 3 RP from the list on the doc? I picked from among the alternate racial traits listed below the original race, using the RP value they were worth, and didn't do the normally required negative replace feature (because they are free). I think that's what most have been doing. I was able to figure out the RP value by finding the RP value of what each ability is replacing and figured they'd be of equal value. Then I went up to the 10rp (half-orc) racial template on the document he made and found the values he put for each racial feature. That gave me the proper Rp value for the alternate racial traits. Hope that makes sense. ![]()

She finds it strange none of them can recall his name, particularly when she, Raquel, and Braegan are so keen at recalling names. It is probably a spell to generally forget who he is. Coin was the only language she needed to know in this place, although the language of seduction could get you more coin at times too. "With Nisli no less!" she hums happily in a quiet tone so the girl can't hear her. "I've never been good with languages. The real trick is getting people to pay," she chuckles and settles into an adorable grin at the halfling as she rests her chin on her palm as she lounges. She could picture someone just wandering the countryside as the master "blower" of smoke rings and making a living by participating in competitions. This is her job as a bartender, getting people to talk about what they are passionate about, not so much about serving drinks. Lilianne smiles easily in correction to the earlier mention of his pipe, "I will always consider pipe smoking a hobby though. How could I not? Smoking a pipe any fool can do, but a true practitioner, it seems, can spend a lifetime perfecting the best puff, the perfect blow, and if one chooses to do so, can even spend deep study on the wide myriad of methods used to create smoke rings. All of which would constitute it being a hobby in my book. In fact, I can see it as a better hobby than some, as hobbies in my understanding are done in relaxing time. Some people love to work more, busying themselves about, but smoking...well, I've always considered it to have a relaxing element to it. Would you agree?" Her eyes train on the old man as he gets up, showing she is attentive to the room still. She too gives priority to customers over staff, except perhaps to Raquel at times. For those who have seen the two bartending or serving together, they are flirty together (likely to get better tips) but are not "together" at all; just friends. Braegan's bowl offered will be taken and set down on her blanket to add to her internal heat. Just barely audible, a sigh of contentment can be heard. There, she will balance the bowl in the nook between her thighs and with one hand, she will place a tiny bit from her spoon's edge onto her thumb's pad and taste it. This, of course, will happen after Braegan is gone. The mage will then quietly cast a spell to add unique flavors to her soup. "It's not bad. I just want it to taste like this." After flavoring it just a tiny bit, she will take a spoon happily and bring it to her lips. There she will blow on it until it's a tolerable, but still hot temperature and will happily place it in her mouth--its new temporary home. Shortly after, with stew in her mouth, she smiles warmly as the halfling comes over. Where once she was lazy and without effort, now she can be described as vibrant for courtesy's sake. When Jo comes in, she lingers her view on him to see what he's doing as do most in the room. Her intense but beautiful eyes watch him for a different reason. Medusas are beings of lust, and Lily naturally feels it at times (as any magical beast would) for any she could "mate" with, but at the same time, she sees them as food. Somehow, simultaneously, she contests this intense pull by her intelligence and choice. It's a strange feeling--one her mother never explained to her. As Jo comes over, she will offer her bowl up though. "Here, have a bite of mine. Warm yourself," emphasizing that he not eat all of it. Such is Lilianne's armor that the young man would have quite a view of her womanly features from his height. She doesn't necessarily flirt with him, but her eyes are just naturally seductive. Whether he takes it or not is up to him. Then, a moment later, she shows her true disinterestedness and turns back to the other two, and in particular, Boram, who has answered her. "I see." she answers. "When you choose a job, do you go by what motivates you, or more on what is available at the time?" she inquires. Lilianne is a curious sort, particularly regarding adventurers or even normal peoples' lives. ![]()

![]() The truth about her calling Nisli by a different name is due to the noise the bar normally produces. It's hard to hear a soft-spoken person over the roar of the crowd. Plus, she didn't really care at the time to know her each of the times her name has been given. It being a number of times is the only reason she recalls it. "Wait no...it's Nisli." she corrects herself. Lily then thinks to herself, "It's hard to keep all of you in order." The thought being mostly predatory, looking at them as her food in a way. The medusa continues, "She's a dear, sweet girl...," she rebukes in a lazy manner. "...and there are as many reasons to come as there are unique people. Nisli is shy, doesn't drink much, but she also doesn't explode into dangerous fights that involve the guards. I've never had a problem with her. Plus she's been a help on more than one occasion. She has nice skin too," the serpent comments. "I've always liked that Sylphine pale blue and how it changes in the wind. I'm jealous!" she grins in a sly way. Raquel would know that Lilianne is telling the truth about mostly everything, but she certainly doesn't get jealous. That is a lie. She'd have to care more. "I like her headscarf too. It is kind of vintage. I'd not look half as good in one, but you know me, I hate wearing anything over my hair." Her angled locks currently lean with Lilianne along with her head toward Raquel as Lily lazes toward her fellow barkeep's chair. Her hair, following suit, almost extends as if reaching to pick up Raquel's scent as a serpent would. Their upturned curl lends them a cute rigidity, but nothing appears out of normalcy as she leans close for warmth. Boram's rejection is met with happiness though. It means she doesn't need to get up. "Staying a while this time?" ![]()

![]() Predatory eyes watch sidelong as the cleric scoots her chair closer. Such was common among them. Lily would mostly be quiet or outright standoffish to Raquel, but the girl's constant bugging her had let her into Lilianne's inner circle. With a frustrated sigh she submits and leans on the side of the chair closest to her fellow bartender so they can cross arms for more heat if Raquel wishes. To Raquel, she mutters: "Did you see Nilsi is here, scribbling away?" She gestures her direction behind them in the chairs. Somehow, even in her laziness, the serpentine half-elf managed to notice her prey. Hazel eyes look over to Boram and she smiles his way. "I suppose I should see if he needs a refill hmm?" Then, despite her being off the clock and comfy, Boram will find her calling out in a delightfully kind voice to him. She asks, "How are you on your drink? Do you want to order another?" ![]()

![]() "Hmm?" she inquires as she hears her name. Then the words flood back into her mind. "Oh, of course. I suppose it's foolish of me, knowing this place, but I was trying to relax. Feel free." Lily gestures to the chair next to her, which currently, her feet block access to by her lazy posture in her chair. With random flying daggers, mischievous spells being cast, and any number of random events to have happened over the last 10 years, she is still currently wearing her armor and some of her gear (the rest being behind the bar). Despite this, she does seem cozy. With lazy effort, she slides her feet back under her chair and out of the way so that Raquel can sit down. Her feet slide back in unison, and the way she shifts them is at first to the left, and then to the right until they are tucked far away and her fellow bartender can sit down. Then slowly she extends in lazy manner again, just slightly readjusted to give Raquel some legroom. Then her eyes travel back to the fire. ![]()

![]() As the weather began to cool and the winds began to blow in from the north, Lilianne, or Lily for short, strangely seemed to become more and more lethargic when outdoors and actively avoided the season. When not in the longhouse where her dormitory is, she would rush as quickly as possible to be inside the warmth of the tavern. Once inside, it was like the bartender would come alive. The warmth of the kitchen, the heat of the fire in the hearth, and the warm drinks meant to cool the bones (not to mention whiskey) would find her revived and her normal cheery self (at least outwardly). On this Wealday, she is relaxing under a blanket in front of the fire in seeming bliss as her toes seem to dance happily under the blanket. On the chairside table, there is a cup of piping hot cider. There are chairs nearby her that could be occupied, but the youthful, raven-haired, half-elven bartender seems to be in her own world and watching the flames with amusement. "It is nice when it is quiet like this. It does make me nervous for tonight though. Is it a full moon?" she wonders, knowing how hectic those nights strangely seem to turn into absolute disasters. ![]()

![]() I think Restov city proper, just outside of it (such as a tavern on the way into Restov), or at minimum a day's walk to the city proper and back, maybe a few miles out would be my preference. It doesn't have to be "urban". I just would like an urban setting close by. ![]()

Finnegan McTavish, Proprietor of the Broken Broadsword Both Raquel and Lilianne have worked together in the past as bartenders. Lilianne has worked at the same place for 10 years (I'm hoping at the Broken Broadsword). Raquel has worked there for about 3, but also in other places before that. In my backstory, the bartender of where she works is one who has been sort of encouraging me to get out and partake in an adventure (given the number of adventurers coming through, there is plenty to be had) because Lilianne is kind of seen as cheery to the front of the house, but behind the scenes, it's like she's missing something. Some have tried to assume this is because she needs more excitement in her life, probably trying to hook her up with people or get her into situations that involve a jolt of excitement for her sake, but they are missing the mark. She misses being herself and will forever until the gods reverse her curse (being half-elf). Would Finnegan and the Broken Broadsword be a good fit for us to have had or still do have employment? Would this NPC you've constructed be a good fit for the backstory I've made or would you want me to tweak it for how you have his personality? Battle Plans

![]() So, just to summarize what you have before you here with me, outwardly joyous half-elf-looking bartender (one of many). She is bloodrager who takes the form of a serpentine being, some say is very medusa-like, and it is best to not make her mad.
