The point is, in a 1vX it always favors the party. Even if the BBEG is a lich or whatever, besides especially bad luck or a CR+8 or something like that over the party they will always win. Maybe with a death or an unconscious player or two, but it's just the nature of the game.

This is where Crane Wing is strongest, in a situation where the party was already going to win.

But as you add more and more threats the value of crane wing continues to diminish.

The old crane wing had a lot of counter play to it, especially Vs things with intelligence.

Not to mention if you couldn't fight defensively for some reason, you couldn't wing, which can happen a lot.

Not to mention the most effective creatures it's against are vermin and beasts, who attack the closest things to them that hit the hardest.

If you're crane winging, sure the Trex might lose one attack to you, but as soon as the barbarian hits him, he's going for the barbarian, not you.

Not to mention the Cardinal rule of Pathfinder. Action economy is everything. No matter how strong you put a creature up against a party, a 1v4 is never going to be favorable.

But if you didn't use a Trex but instead two Shambling Mounds, that monk is DED.

Well that's half their problem, anytime they see something they don't like, instead of isolating the interaction and using a surgeon's grace to scalpel out that problem, they instead grab a chainsaw and Paul Bunion their way through half their rule book to not only kill the offending interaction but everyone and thing that interaction loved, and any civilians that got caught in the way.

Paizo likes to go through phases of insanity where they just arbitrarily change things.

Like how SLAs didn't qualify for feats, then they did, now they don't again. Something I've flat out ignored when GMing because of how pointless that reverted ruling was. Is a rogue or fighter with Arcane Strike really making casters feel inadequate? Is it really?

I pretty strongly disagree with that, it was a fine feat as it was. It was situationally very strong, and other times just a solid option. More feats should have been like Crane Wing, not less.

Juxt was all too pleased to hear of everyone else's displeasure and mistrust of the Technic League, she had truely found herself in the company of like minded allies. Excepting the orc. He dealt in technology, he would have to be monitored closely.
