Yvell Endymion |

" Yes they were capable.. I couldnt afford to take them lightly nor power my weapon to full capability. They were here to protect something. Likely all its remains are... unusable "
Yvell looks at the tower, " I think we should check the entrance out while we can.. that could have just been a scouting patrol.. we cannot afford too many instances like that. Then, we move on and see what w can gain from this tower. "

Yvell Endymion |

As the healing energies bathe Yvell in light the effect seems enhanced as it fully recuperates his form. His wounds all but disappear and his fatigue disappears. He bends down and kisses Valtyra's hand before giving a smirk and thanking her.
Eventually he makes his way over to Muga to get the Samurai on his feet, " C'mon, there be no reason for you to flatter me with false praise. "

Juxt Ventalem |

"Your servants are done dispatching the aggressors, would you care to come and join us pretty Phylla?"
Turning to Yvell, "Where did you find such an interesting owner?"

Yvell Endymion |

The thought of pushing Muga back to the ground for the cleverly placed sarcastic insult but thinks better of it. It was not a negative statement in a way. " If you werent so stubborn I wouldn't have to. Whatever waves they sent out you could have avoided. "
Yvell, clicks his tongue against his teeth and smirks at Juxt's question. " Phylla was found during our foray into the Torch Disappearance... she is from far.. far away. And I have to feed her regularly.. she is .. draining to say the least "

Yvell Endymion |

Assuming we get near the tower or up to it
Yvell revs his Elven Chainsawblade carrying it carefully in his hands the load roar that erupts from the weapon making stealth all but impossible and the teeth whirl a bit.

GM Demonmoose |

Perdix sees different magical auras surrounding the tower, most notably conjuration and necromancy. He also doesn't see any useful metal on the creatures, most of it is rusted beyond repair.
"Thank you for the compliment, Juxt-servant." Phylla sends, and waddles to join the rest of the group.
Grammanar moves closer to the entrance and doesn't find any traps or locks.
This towering stone structure rises high above the tops of the surrounding trees. The towers walls are made of metal and stone and stained black with greasy soot, and its roof is a metal cone crowded by a forest of pipes and chimneys belching smoke into the sky. The tower's few windows are narrow and slatted with thick metal grills, and its only door is a metal rectangle with rounded corners, twelve feet high and nine feet wide. The door bears no knob or handle-only a two-inch-wide hole in the center, the edges of which are cracked and bent as if a tremendous force wrenched something free. A large number of immense humanoid footprints mar the ground surrounding the tower.

Yvell Endymion |

" How foul, Necromancy can never be good. And since this was known to have had a Wizard in it at one point and given our.. previous experiences.. I doubt that is a coincidence. "

Yvell Endymion |

Like a Key? It seems like it was push or pulled open correct? Could it be cut or wedged open? How big are the windows?

GM Demonmoose |

The footprints are uniform, and larger than a regular humanoid.
Windows are 2 x 2 feet with metal grills that bar them. The doors look incredibly sturdy and heavy; a human or something with average or slightly better strength would have difficulty moving it-also something with greater strength seemed to only budge them a little bit.
Grammanar tries to operate the door, but is unsuccessful in doing anything. He nearly bends the piece of metal in his hands in half.

Yvell Endymion |

Yvell looks and nods, " It's clear now.. whatever go into this tower was likely strong or more likely a construct. They ripped out the mechanism to open the door otherwise... we COULD attempt to open it together but I'm not sure all her would try. Sundering will not work as likely the tower is made of even stronger metals. Like Divinity or some Alloy of such. Perhaps we can come back to this instead. learn more about these prints and its possible connection to our mission. "
IE actually working together and accepting Yvell's rage then making a str check. Unless this is the story telling us not to go here yet.

Yvell Endymion |

Indeed, We have options for sure. We can climb to the Windows and break in, Open this door or use teleportation.. though the last one would confine us to That side unless there is a way out. Really climbing occurred to Yvell as well as I.. but the window is real small. Autograpel could easily get him up regardless of the scalability. Or he could tether it do the door and pull.
" Will it leave an escape route.. this spell? "

Perdix the Scholar |

"Hmm, I am only able to contain so much mystic energy at once, so without a long time to recuperate, no. I could get us in, but we would be in there for a while. Also, now that I think about it, I probably couldn't take everyone at once. Maybe it's not such a great method. "
"Though let me try something. "
he will walk to the door and activate his gloves of reconnaissance and take a look at what is on the other side. He's mostly looking for some kind of obvious mechanism which might open the door if they did have people dimension door in.

Valtyra Brightsong |

"If we have chains or strong rope I can summon a strong animal to tie it too and see if it can get us through. Otherwise we can always hack it down but that's loud." Val says

Juxt Ventalem |

"Maybe I could just shoot the lock off with my bow?"

Yvell Endymion |

Yvell's eyes move to Valtyra, " It is loud, true but I believe our presence from the bout with the guard robots alerted whatever is in there. To help I could also make a tether with my grapple.. and we pull it open. It is quite durable "

GM Demonmoose |

Technically, you aren't supposed to be here yet. But you can attempt to enter if you want. I don't mind. I had Blue Team jump ahead in Book 1 also.
The tower is climbable though you will need above average climbing to get up. Or Yvell's autograpnel. Also the windows are barred, so you will need some way to deal with that.
Perdix peers through the door and sees:
This grand hall is ten feet wide and twenty-five feet long. A large metal door stands at the west end of this entry, while three other metal doors stand in the walls at the opposite end. The middle door is slightly smaller than the others, and a metal wheel is mounted in the center of each door.
He notices that the matching wheel on the door he is touching is missing.

Muga |

"Well. As long as our path inside is not filled with noxious smoke, call me when you've got one." Muga finds a suitable rock and sits, back against it, resting.

Yvell Endymion |

Makes sense. To level and move on with the story as well as keep with Yvells words. He likely wont be entering right now anyway. Those guardbots weren't exactly a pushover. If Yvell didnt have rage, LOH and Celestial Totem Lesser... he would have been very low/unconscious.
" What do you see Perdix " He looks to Juxt, " It isnt just an issue of locks. The mechanism was simply ripped out.. whatever it was. Regardless, it seems we can relocate and return here if need be... but this tower is definitely interesting. I'd rather we not spend enough time here to run into another patrol.. as I said. "

Juxt Ventalem |

"Are you certain it wise to leave the tower for now? Whomever sent those constructs at us may be able to field more by our next return."
"Nevertheless I defer to your judgment."

Yvell Endymion |

" As much as I loathe to leave such a situation half-done, we have completed the mission of scouting. We are much more aware of the situation than previously. It, however is not our main mission. IF we return and there are more of those automatons? We will be much more prepared and likely better equipped for the task universally. Khonnir wished we observe and perhaps interact with the Tower, but it is by no means our primary objective. "
Yvell scratches at the bridge of his nose, " It doesn't help matters that likely Golems or otherwise sealed the entrance. We can return later, but first check in at Iadenveigh "

Perdix the Scholar |

"There is a large room with several doors. It is quite evident from what I see inside that the door here is broken. The other doors all appear to have a mechanism for opening them built in, a sort of wheel. Fascinating. " and he whips out a pad of paper and starts to sketch what he saw from memory.

Yvell Endymion |

" Good, it is now known whatever method we would need to go inside there would not need to be used multiple times. It also makes it possible the only thing keeping whatever in there from coming out.. is this broken door. Either way, unless someone can convince me otherwise.. We are leaving. " Yvell silences his blade and looks to the rest. If they were silent or so.. he would direct the group to Iadenveigh the next few days.

Yvell Endymion |

Perhaps, there are enough of us to do basically survival and now with rest we will have option available for it
Yvell reflects on his journey thus fr and the overall meaning of accomplishing it. Yes, stopping Torch from being wiped out at the whims of Hellion was a great deed, but the fact the faux-deity needed such measures was daunting. Moreso of the original party, only Valtyra and himself remained. The sole driving force.
He grew to the changes, such is expected of him but it was more than he expected. Interactions he did not dream of.
As he sat stirring the fire at camp Yvell made a solemn face thinking ho this all seemed to connect, what Iadenveigh would add.

Perdix the Scholar |

Perdix will sit around the fire and review his notes for the day. Eventually he will get out his bedroll and make the best he can of a place to sleep. He's still a creature of his comforts, but one must deal with what is.
"I do need a long stretch of sleep, but I can do an early morning watch if that is needed. "

Yvell Endymion |

" Understood, I'm well aware of the more magically inclined require time to recoup spellcasting capabilities. I'll assign you with someone else, as to reduce the chances of ambush. " Yvell spoke still looking into the fire more than at Perdix.

Juxt Ventalem |

"I can take the watch with Perdix, my eyes aren't suited for the dead of night anyways unfortunately."
