Jumping from shadow to shadow, at short range, is possible. Charly has done short range teleports before, but it would be more to get a short lead or an emergency evasion. Illusions would also work.

Jessica could possibly roll Kick Some Ass to bring a tree down on a fluff, Read a Bad Situation to see who needs her aid, or something else entirely.

Smashing his way through the trees, literally, is definitely an option for Kavax. As is causing Chaos. You do have three rolls to play with.

Oh, and Jerry, it is early afternoon - 1-2 PM kinda time.

Appologies, can't believe I screwed that one up.

"I don't think anything here has changed that, no," Kaldwell agreed.

"...when you're dealing with five packs of people who change into wolves and consider public nudity perfectly normal - oh, you'll likely see naked people, by the way - and we're still the most normal folks around, it's certainly an odd feeling," the guide added in cheerfully. "Although a hairy angel would be an oddity."

"And yeah, just you guys and the representatives from each pack, the accused, and anyone else whose nosey enough to show up. So almost everyone, I should think. You know how it is. We've watched most of Netflix."

"There are three obvious targets for such a rifle," the old Adept added as he made himself comfortable in a chair. "The first would be the manor described by the Eldar. Assuming his description was both accurate and honest the only one matching the description would be House Larnia. I haven't broken into there comm chatter yet, the fleeing you understand, but they certainly seem to be have increased activity."

Considering, he added, "Then there is the PDF base mentioned. It shouldn't take long to confirm one that matches the description he gave. It will be difficult to move undetected, but I'm not sure how much need for secrecy you still have - the Eldar know you exist now, after all. Then again, they can't kill what they can't find."

With another pause, he hesitantly added, "And of course, now we know what exactly we hunt, we could use a ship's scanners to narrow down the area the Eldar themselves lurk in. Their ships are hard to find, it's very true, but not impossible. And they're very arrogant."

Enizver took the fire right to the face. Somehow the Gnome use his uncanny knack to get out of trouble to avoid the worst of the flame, but his beard was significantly less mighty the previous boast had suggested.

Groaning a little and smouldering heavily Enizver moved to Horat. "Back on your feet, please. We have need of you." He reached down and healed the Warrior.

It's...less than ideal. We have 4 kids all at home, which makes things a little chaotic, but we homeschooled all 4 before and still home school the younger 2. The fact their social lives have effectively ended is being countered a little with electronics, and the stuff they did out of the house has been replaced with D&D 5E (they're playing a Human Dual-Wilding Psychic Fighter, a Tabaxi Soul-Knife Rogue, a Half-Elf Pact of the Chain Warlock and a Dragonborn Two-Hander Rune Knight fighter) but, still. They're being great, but obviously are a bit frustrated. My son especially is heartbroken, as his exams have been cancelled and his grade will now be based on old work that doesn't represent what he can do now, and has worked for months on. He feels he's wasted a lot of time and effort.

My work is still open, but we're losing a few hours a week for cost-saving. Thankfully we recently sold off a division so the company has an additional 4 billion to weather this idiocy with, so it's not a case of redundancies will be coming to deal with this, and my personal finances are...robust, shall we say, with five-figure savings. But between this crap and the whole Brexit fiasco it's gonna be...rough for a lot of people.

Right now my biggest concern is food, but it seems generally unfounded (for now). Stupid stuff like toilet roll and cleaner has gone, but bar certain dried and canned foods supplies are easy to get. Hell, said foods are easy to find too if you go to the little corner shops.

Even toilet paper.

So yeah. Tired, and concerned, but weathering the situation as best we can. I'm in a 'high risk for infection' category because my job deals with international buisness peoples, but if I do get the bug the chances of it doing more than irritating me is slim.

It comes from Below:
Carlos was on impressive form, and the ring soon came loose. It soon became apparent there was a certain...attraction...between the rings as it shot up towards the cement ceiling, the metal slamming into it with a dust-loosening clang!

Regret from Above:
"The thing that was below? She was once a little girl. Her father was part of the project here. His daughter grew sick. Terminally so. So he used her as the linchpin of the spell here. She would not die. She could not die. Enough time to learn how to save her." The vampire made a face at that. "But she wasn't human, either. She began to warp the place to fit her dreams of when she was in theatre herself. And one day he got caught. Her desire did not discriminate. His soul could not move on, and as his spirit watched her...deterioate...he went mad himself. A soul is a terrible thing to wrack." She nodded to the door. "Now he seeks enough power to save her. He'll never get it, of course. Every soul on Earth wouldn't make him strong enough. But he doesn't understand that any more."

I think you've forgotten the most important set of rules - how we gettin' our Triple Triad on, yo!? Maybe Here while Flash lives?

1) This character has probably been a SeeD for two or three years - they would have been a student for a couple of years at Galbadia, transferred over to Balamb for the SeeD exam (apparently it's the only Garden that does that, which is odd) and then remained wherever the game is set.

2)
A - That the character was asked to leave Galbadia for crimes against science.
B - That one of the character's leg is a prophetic, hence their interest in technology.
C- That there Triple Triad deck was once thrown off a boat by an angry cheater.

3) I'm pretty much hoping for a brief respite from the soul-crushing ennui that is existence.

...also, a fun romp through the Final Fantasy VIII universe. I think there are a lot of fascinating stories that could be told before and during the games. Defending Balamb during the Battle of the Gardens would be a great late-game adventure, for example.

Charly quickly notices something. Only about half the crowd here reacts to her gaffs the way one would expect a normal person too. The other half seem to see nothing wrong with that.

Kavax doesn't see anyone here. It seems that the problem now includes the grounds, and you'd have to pass through the party. There are gates at the far side of the courtyard that stand open, however. Or behind the small sound stage now occupied by Rose, who is flicking through her phone, should be out the way.

Captain Rose finds the next alarm is in about 45 seconds. The first song to pop up on her phone is Baby Shark. It was very...2019, if nothing else.

She's so angry she talks how I write.

Below Decks:
Jennifer can't spot any kind of ammo system externally. It would seem that it's all internal and that you'll need to tear it open.

Which Nurai and Jennifer are certainly doing so. The external armour plating has been rent in several places, exposing a corroded internal structure and machinery.

Still, it is certainly not dead.

Yeah, normally we don't do such, and Way of the Wicked is set up to avoid such things...except for that one section. It's meant to divide the party right at the end of the campaign, as one of the potential endings.

Thankfully myself and the other planned sacrafice caught wind of it, and when the moment came we made it pretty clear that attempting such would not result in anything fun happening. I was an Enchantment specialist (evil game seems like the place for me) and could pretty much dominate our Barbarian at will, as well as having a whole flock of loyal NPC's. The party fighter was the other planned sacrafice, and a brutally built crit monster.

That left a very Squishy Summoner, his Eidolon and the anti-Paladin trying to sacrafice us. They did try to talk us around to being willing, but neither of us was terrible devout (essentially a high ranking devil was telling them to use us in a ritual, in Asmodean's name) and in fact my character's whole backstory was trying to cheat death out of fear of what would be his afterlife.

Thankfully, with no way to force us, they simply accepted ruling a kingdom with us. Which turned out for the good (mostly) because the ritual was a trap that led to the bad end.

Enizver tilted his head for a moment. "Alarie?" The face was that of his mentor, his lover, his rival on especially fun days. But that wasn't possible. He had died over a year ago when they had been working to stop a raid. The tunnel system had to be collapsed, but they could feel the drums through there feet. Someone had to burn the beams. Enizver had felt himself flying backwards, see Alarie's backlit by his torch as he ran, heard the words he'd said...

They'd told him nothing could have survived the stone that fell in that place, nothing and no one. That those forgotten tunnels and halls would be all that marked his grave.

Enizver shook his head at Horat's cry, turning his weapon on the attackers. Whatever was wearing Alarie's face could wait until he dealt with the more obvious danger, and target the same one as Horat.

"How do you not know the difference between an offering and a pact?" the voice asked in a confused tone, from right beneath Carlos. "An offering is a simple transaction - give me something I want in the hope of me giving you what you need, longshanks. A pact would denote a more long term arrangement that would have outlined obligations of either party." The voice laughed. "And I didn't say getting lost would be safe nor sane, only that it is where you'll find your missing people. What's left of them. I'm sure you can solve this wee mystery without doing it...if you don't mind leaving them to there fate. Which I'm sure they'll have earned."

"For a candy bar," the voice continued a moment later, above Charlie, "I shall tell ye some of the history of this place. For two, I shall explain what you must do to become lost - although I'll admit, since plenty have done it with no intent you might well manage it on your own, but it'll also speak on what to avoid. But if you wish the knowledge of how to return, it'll be no sugary delights nor fastest foods. That knowledge is harder earned. Blood is the coin required."
