I'm sure leaving behind a legacy in cologne is one that many would strive for! Being known as the Dokka sounds just fine by me. It leaves me with this derivative idea that "elvish" might have very strong linguistical ties to Old Norse as well. It probably shares a lot of ties to it's modern successors, if one had the linguistical ear to tell.

I'm game for anything you'll run, Rando!
I've had this idea for an android nanocyte that's some sort of experimental weapon. There any more info on the role of androids in society? I was also thinking they could be some sort of android liberationist who wants androids to have a homeworld of their own.

They would have developed on Earth out of utility robots, but obviously are a LOT more advanced and end up having free will (which is problematic for unpaid servants). Since they're a playable race, I'd say that they have gained recognition as a species, and thus have citizen rights, but maybe only recently. There might still be a decent amount of bigotry and hurdles of put in place by the old system that need to be overcome. Thus, the idea of a group of androids wanting a world of their own would make a lot of sense.
What ship role are you thinking of? We have a Medical Officer and an Engineer (I think) so far. Unlike the last game, where people will just jump in and out of roles, in this one you will have a rank and a title (job description). not that you can never do anything else, but like Scotty on Star Trek was the Chief Engineer, or like Number One was Picard's first officer.

Probably Chief Mate.
I've got an idea for my secondary character too, looking at a spathinae biohacker/soldier multiclass who's all about ranged combat and living weapons, going for gunner as their ship role.
I'll definitely reflavor the spathinae to be a differentiated from their Starfinder version, something like masters of biotech who are absolutely baffled by mechanical devices.

If you wanted, they could even have evolved on the same world as the Dokka, alluding in some way to the drow's canon mastery over fleshcrafting or some such. I was picturing a Karst-world situation there, by the way. Largely rocky and desolate surface with vast caverns of life just beneath.
For my secondary, I have the vague idea of a human operative operating in the Pilot roll during ship combat. Some young hot-shot who had asperations of becoming a famous star-racer, yet listened to his parents and went into the forces for a more 'stable' career. Each mission has him increasingly wishing to abandon his post and follow his dreams.

That's a good idea. I was going to suggest either a pilot or gunner for your secondary, so you have something to do in ship combat other than say "Dammit, captain, can't you keep this ship steady, we've got wounded down here!"

Interesting idea! I had the thought that they’d be a nomad race, wandering the Orion cluster in small hive fleets to find knowledge and biomass. Each fleet would be a distributed consciousness just like the individual spathinae (better name pending) so members in the OSF would be somewhere between individual crewmembers and representatives of the larger hive.
My working name for them is the K’druun, so maybe the K’druun and the Dokka have a friendly rivalry over who’s the better biotechnologist.

My friend as I talk to him about how I passed the will save due to Superstition;
"Oh my god, it's a giant elder god!"
"Pfft. Swamp gas."
"Swamp gas... do you even know what that is?"
"Is when swamp farts. Am not stupid."

Is anyone affected by the real world madness in/around the Ukraine?
At least one of us is of Polish descent and Poland is in the think of it. My girlfriend is Belarusian (anti-war, pro-Ukraine) ... so I try to keep up. But, it is a very sad state of affairs.

I have a friend who's Ukrainian (US citizen). She she still has family there and is worried for their safety. I can't imagine what she's going through.

I'm in the UK, so other than our arms sales being just great we're doing fine. I do have a friend in Estonia whose rather nervous about Russia going all expansionist.

My only relation with the conflict is being human, I suppose, and as a human I don't much enjoy seeing my fellows fighting.
Edit: Well actually, I do have a friend I make maps for who's Russian. It's made getting paid for my work harder, but like, small potatoes compared to the violence.

Not that we need one, but here's one to consider for a Theme Song.
If you're into metal/hard rock.
Some choice lyric snippets:
...We're off to the witch
We may never never never come home
But the magic that we'll feel is worth a lifetime...
...We don't come alone
We are fire, we are stone
We're the hand that rights
And quickly moves away...
...We'll know for the first time
If we're evil or divine
We're the last in line...

DAng, that's actually some solid music.
So... Is this it, my friends? Is it time we bid our little band farewell?
(do you want us to stop posting, Rando, or are we free to have a few more in-character comments?)

I was expecting people would probably have some interaction before I made a final "this is the end" post, but if no one has done so in a few days I'll close it up. It's not vital or anything, just giving you all a chance to get the last word in.

I will find it funny how the big dumb guy is the one who ends up walking away with the cleanest mind of the four. Perhaps there's not much in there for the madness to take hold over? Hahah

HAd a lot of fun, it's sad to see things come to an end but, that's just how things go!
