This coming Saturday, the Omaha Organized Play lodge will be supporting our local convention. They run one-day events through out the year and the next one is 3/20/21. We will be hosting 4 tables for the event. At 10am, we will be offing PFS2e 1-06, Lost on the Spirit Road, and I will be running SFS 1-98 Into the Perplexity: The First Trail. At 5pm, will be offing PFS2e 2-06 The Crushing Wave, and I will run a second table of SFS 1-98 Into the Perplexity: The First Trail. All tables will be online and will be hosted on the Omaha Organized Play Discord server. We will be using Roll20. If interested, we can be found on Warhorn. Just look for Omaha Pathfinder. Hope you see you there!
I am prepping this adventure and wonder how to handle a trap. There is a fireball rune on a footlocker in Level 5-6. The rune is an invisible, spherical magical sensor with a 20' radius. And the trap reacts with a trigger of "A living creature enters the sensor area." The hut is in a 10x10 square. How does this rune not be exploded by people just walking by the hut? How can a PC even have a chance to see the rune considering it is in a hut and they can see the rune until they get instead. A Thievery check can erase the rune, but to do that you have touch it, thus within the 20' sensor. By by then, the rune has exploded because they had to travel 10 feet just to get to the outside of the hut. Can dispell magic the rune, but again, you have to see it and if it is inside a hut, you can't. This is a bad trap in such a small area. I see now way for the party not to cause it to explode. This trap is a scenario breaker. What I can I do with this?
Prepping this adventure. Looks like a fun one! However looking at the scored earth scouts, they have composite shortbows with the volley trait. Is that correct? Or are they using Longbows? Damage is correct for composite shortbow so I plan not to use the volley trait. Also, in levels 7-8, having basilisks means that almost all characters except 5th level characters will be immune to the petrifying gaze ability. This makes the encounter pretty much a cake walk.
I have been preping this adventure and I am really disappointed that a major NPC did not get any art work. Why no pictures of Ogthup?? But we get a new picture of Bjersig when there has been several of him provide in more recent adventures. In C6, Card Games and Ball Games, under Cards it is listed that Ded Shurin is one of the players but under the DCs, it gives a modifier of Vera and no modifier for Ded. I will assume the modifier is intended for Ded as Vera is outside playing Hockey. Overall, I have found this adventure to be fun and hope my players will enjoy it!
To Tonya, Alex, Linda, and a bunch of others that I know I have missed, PLEASE add back XP and Gold tracking (Beginning and Ending) to the chronicles!!! These are VITALLY IMPORTANT information for tracking a character's progress. Please "add as a favorite" my post if you agree that the tracking boxes should be on the chronicles. And of course, respectful discussion is encouraged.
Does the definition of "Target" change when casting a 3-action Heal? This came up during a discussion on whether a character or NPC is affected by a 3-action Heal. It was part of a larger discussion on Godless Healing. The discussion the Organized Play forum cans be found here. For reference, here is the Heal spell.

Note, I am only talking about living creatures. I believe that the definition of Target does not change when casting a 3-action Heal. A character or NPC can choose not to be a willing recipient of the spell and thus would not receive any healing. This is also true for 1 or 2 action Heals. What the Target is does not change when it moves from 1 Target to multiple Targets. Others do not believe this and I hope they will bring their thoughts to this discussion. I hope Mark Seifter will step-in and give us guidance on this question.
In a different thread, the point was made that with 2e, GMs would not get a reward for their prep time for tables that did not fire. At conventions, where race boons could earned, a table not making would not lead to the lose of the race boon. But with 2e, if a table did not fire, the GM would not earn any AcP. This is also a problem for non-convention tables. So to our Campaign Leadership, please consider something that will allow GMs to earn AcP points for tables that don't fire. My suggest would be 1 (or 2 points for cons) to acknowledge the extra time and effort that a GM puts into prepping a table. And if this is a topic that is already being discussed, thank you!
The purpose of this thread is to ask that Archives of Nethys be declared as the official source for Organized Play Legality. Currently, the Archives of Nethys website is the official source of the online rules for both editions of Pathfinder and Starfinder. However, to determine what is legal for PFS1e and SFS, one needs to check Additional Resources and Campaign Clarifications that are located on the Paizo website. To determine what is legal for PFS2e, one must check the guide found on the Organized Play Foundation website. I know that there are a lot of people who believe that Archives of Nethys is the authorized source of legality for Organized Play. But as far as I know, no such declaration has been made. I ask if you agree with me than flag this post as needing a FAQ. If you don't agree, please provide information about why you don't agree. I believe that the Archives of Nethys is not part of Paizo Inc. and is control by a third party. For Archives of Nethys to become the official source for Organized Play legality, it would likely require a greater level of commitment from the website administrators that they may not wish to have.
Planning has begun for the 4th Annual Omaha Pathfinder Charity Con (formally known as the Boys and Girls Club Con). We are moving to be more flexible and select the charities that we will work to benefit. So this year, we will be benefiting Mission 22, a charity that works to help prevent the high number of suicides among our veterans. The Omaha lodge recently lost a gamer and we want to do something to honor him and maybe help others to continue enjoying their lives. We will offer the latest Second Edition adventures as well as a selection of First Edition, Starfinder, and Adventure Card scenarios. We are in need of Players and GMs so if interested, drop me a line! Stay tuned for me information.
Since I have a new position this year I figured it would be a good idea to download my ID card before GenCon. Since I am a VC now, I see that my email address has been added. Completely ok with this. However, my stars/novas do not show up. Anyone else having this problem? Should I post on the website feedback? I know it is the week of GenCon so not expecting a resolution right away but wanted to try and let the powers that be know about the problem.
I hope this will be allowed. If not, I understand. The Omaha Lodge is doing well. I have not heard of any of our players being directly impacted. This being said, a great number of people in the Omaha area have been. Please help if you can through the available channels. Thanks..

Post your GenCon 2018 GM Schedule. Feel free to copy and paste as needed. Slot 1 Thursday AM:....... OFF
I am only running one table this year because I will have my son and we will enjoy the con. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the Con!
I ran a table of the Starfinder Special at GenCon 2017 on Thursday Night. It was 1-00, Salvations End. I have not seen this table reported for me. As we were wrapping up, I know at least one person took a picture of the reporting sheet. If you played and took a picture of the reporting sheet, please contact me so I can see if it was my table. Thank you!
There is another discussion on this topic located here. I am requesting a FAQ on this question. If there is a tie on Initiative Count caused by a creature taking a Ready or Delay action, how should this tie be handled?
