That actually bring up a good question:

If we all build new characters and basically start at the lodge, will the level up be after the lodge (as you had previously alluded to) or would you adjust the milestone?

I would be fine with either way. I know that Garland did not work out as the healer I was hoping for.

Just story-wise, it might be easier to create a new character, especially if Ques is freaked out.

The hit from the zombie overtakes Garland as she crumples to the ground, unconscious. Luckily, the hit struck her in such a way that she is not bleeding out, but rather stable.

Standing her ground, Garland calls out to the woman, "We were brought here by Brinder. That is before we had to end his sad existence. In case you are wiser then the fools we met earlier, I will tell you once, lay down your weapons and surrender. We can care for the sick and injured. You are not our quarry." She plants the weighted end of her spear on the hard wood and stares down the woman from across the room. As she leans against the weapon, however, the end kicks out, causing her to stumble forward a few feet. Although she keeps her feet, she is sure by the general laughter, that her stern and serious words were met with deaf ears. Knowing her gambit did not pay off, she steps behind the fireplace and awaits the worst.

From what she can see through the window and from what Ana mentioned, Garland knows she needs to take a closer look. She moves along the side of the building and into the doors, hugging the wall with her spear held in front of her, in the hopes of defending herself. "I have to take a look at them. We need more information" She looks at the 3 sickly men she can see to try and figure out a diagnosis or prognosis, at least. To the inhabitants of the lodge, Garland calls out, "I see that you are sick and weakened. I only want to help. I am a trained healer."

I think the only thing that we did as a group was to go with non standard races. But even that is up to you. We've got a 2 fetchlings, a ganzi, and a changeling.

Seeing Cud fall, Garland turns and moves towards the open door, drawing forth her spear as she goes, a slight limp now evident. "Looks like they weren't expecting us to take them on. We have to use that to our advantage." As she gets to the building, she draws up against the wall and out of sight of the door.

Still unsure what to think of these three, but really tempted by the warm hearth, Garland goes along with the small group. "We really don't know much about the lady. Some guy came into Heldren with a story to tell and we went to check it out. At this point, we are just looking for her to get her home. Say, why are your friends...Whipper and Cud, I think, still holding their bows at the ready?"

I may have played portions on this book that were highly modified. So I have an idea of what is going on here, but am not sure that what I know is what is real. This is real Inception territory for me. I'm just waiting for the top to topple.

Garland is definitely taken aback by Ana's reaction. She was pretty close to accepting the offer until Ana brought up all the things they have encountered so far.

After hearing Arsiel call them out, Garland cautiously moves forward. Having heard the whole conversation, but not really knowing what the High Sentinel Lodge is, she is not sure if they could be telling the truth. "Please, lower your weapons. We are just lost out here and have been set upon by wicked fey. The least we can do is stand against them together."

Garland hears the snapping of ice before she sees Arsiel plunge beneathe the ice. She turns and rushes back on the failing surface, trying to reach him. "Hold on Arsiel!"

Garland wearily eyes the snowman and, giving it a wide berth, moves into the underbrush and starts to cross the stream. She can clearly see the weak areas and avoids them like the plague. While the ice is slippery, she is able to cross without an issue.

Garland moves through the brush to get near enough to Grey to reach down and touch him. As she reaches down to touch the eidolon, her hand pulls in dark motes of energy that disperse through the shadowy creature upon contact. The dark energy seems to attune well to Grey as the visible damage seems to fad.
