"Did it attack you or did you witness it attack any innocents? I don't hold any warm feelings against it but murdering it just because it may do something bad feels wrong. It is not unlike what Grey Maidens have been doing under the former Queen, and I don't want to be a part of this anymore."

Esmera is changing to her equipment while the conversation is ongoing. When she's finished, she turns back to the party and the fey. Her countenance in full armor and with a shield emblazoned with a scarlet rose crest is now much more formidable than it was when she was wearing bandit rags. "The games are over, creature of the frost. Neither you nor your mistresses are welcome here. Tell us how you got here and what was your purpose in working with these bandits. Did they know you were sent by the witches? We saw a mention of a portal on a map in another room - you better hope it allows you back where you came from or we'll be tasting those roasted wings tonight." Intimidate: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14

"Looks like their alliance is tenuous, given that the bandit leader holds a fey creature captive in the cage upstairs. We were just about to question it. And on the subject of questioning - I would very much like to know where did they hide my battle gear!"

Esmera, in her ragged, week-worn and partially torn clothes, ill-fitting armor looted from a male bandit, and scarred and unkempt face, gives the newcomer a long evaluating look.

"The witches?" Esmera raises a quizzical eyebrow. "Who are those witches and what do they want? How can we know YOU are not working for them? Having just spent a few days locked in a cellar myself, I can think of some fates worse than that. The cage could have been cold iron, for one. We need to be sure in our safety if we are to let you go."

Esmera pays little heed to the necromancer's sorcerous effects but is interested in the keyring. "One of those keys should get me my gear back!" Upon seeing the fey she remains cautious but silent, waiting to see how the conversation develops.

Esmera replies to Andrei: "I only know that he was giving orders to the bandits who captured me and Lady Argentea. He seemed to be working together with the fey but I don't know who was pulling the strings in that arrangement." She looks for a rope to bind him with, possibly going back to the cellar to get it.

Hearing combat downstairs, Esmera rushes down to help.

"Back in Korvosa we learned to beware of devils from the fiery pits of Hell... but right now I would probably hug one if I could" She looks around the room to see if perhaps the undying bones were guarding something.

Esmera rushes into the room and loudly gasps upon seeing the skeletons - she expected living opponents. She gladly accepts rage and continues to move to the one further away - after all, her new allies have been so fearsome in dealing with wooden objects so far that she was confident in their ability to shatter some bones! Upon reaching the undead creature, she strikes at it with her short sword, putting as much force as she can into the strike.

Realizing there is no threat, Esmera enters the room as well. She knocks on the chest and eyes it critically. "A sturdy one... I could probably break through it with some hard work but surely someone out there has a key." She attempts to bash the door leading out: Str check: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 but it seems that her strength hasn't yet been restored after the imprisonment.

Esmera lingers next to the fireplace for a moment, warming up her joints, before taking position across the nearest locked door. "Looks like this room has two exits; let someone stand guard against the other door if the bandits try to escape. Perhaps you, Ragnar?" Once the tactics have been agreed, Esmera will take a step back, crack her neck, and run into the door shield-first, putting all of her weight behind the shield bash.

Esmera looks impatient, frequently looking back at the main building to see if anyone follows them to the stables.

Esmera will take all the equipment from one of the men, not bothering with the gold. She will put on the armor and hang the bow across the back, wielding the short sword and the buckler.

That's up to the GM really "I have been wounded when the bandits overpowered me, but it happened several days ago and I have somewhat recovered.
She begins to rub her numb and swollen wrists and feet. "Have you seen my armor - a chainmail with a scarlet rose symbol? If not then perhaps it is still guarded by the surviving bandits - or those creatures."

Esmera squints at the light.
With light you notice that Esmera's face is crossed by several deep puckered scars. They are not freshly inflicted. She has an athletic build and calloused hands.

Esmera dreamt that she was in a banquet, tables creaking under the weight of mounds of exotic food. She was about to sink her teeth into the closest chunk of ham when suddenly the guests began quarrelling over something someone said, throwing dishes into each other, which cracked against the floor and the walls with a thundering din. She shouted at them to stop until one of the guests kicked her own plate out of her hands and it shattered, red meat leaving a bloody stain on her pure white dress... It took her a while to understand that she was in fact no longer sleeping and the noise she heard was not of broken dishes, but of clashing arms. She bolted upright with a gasp, and almost fainted from the effort. How long has it been since she was last fed - three days, or a week? She turned around - the local lady next to her was still asleep, probably unconscious from the exhaustion. Esmera looked around the room in search of something which could help her attract the right kind of attention and defend herself from the wrong kind.
Nothing immediately sprang to mind. But while she was trying to come up with a plan, the fighting sounds above seems to have died down, replaced by curious steps. Did her captors finally met their deserved fate? Esmera hesitated for a second before deciding that if she doesn't take her chance now, it may never come again. She deeply inhaled and summoned her resolve before belting out her favorite solemn song out of Milani's holy text, The Light of Hope
