I would love to join this game, but unfortunately my daughter is having some serious health issues that will be ongoing for at least the next several weeks and I just can't commit to anything right now. ![]() I am interested! I am in no rush, though, so if you need a few weeks to wrap up your game, that's fine by me. I completely understand about wanting to play in a scenario before you run it, I feel the same way. Elariel needs some reworking as well, but just in terms of personality. I think she's coming off a little more whiney and negative than I intended. My point is that I don't mind doing some suspension of disbelief if you'd like to run Maldlethu again. For me, level 1 is kind of all over the place as we figure out who are characters really are. Ironically, Elariel was also initially a cleric of Nethys and I changed her to wizard instead. ![]()

The wizard briefly considers pushing to look for more information about Napsunar. Maybe there are artifacts hidden away that we are missing! Though... probably not. You saw the place. It's not in good shape. Anything there must have been looted years ago...I should know better. Well. At least we know the story now. That's worth something. "Yes. Let's report back to the lodge. ![]() Nice roll, Reev! Elariel balances her staff on her shoulder and holds her hands out to her sides, palms up. She remains silent, watching the guards warily. This has gone all wrong! We were supposed to be on an information finding mission. We should have never gotten involved in Nalla's concerns. When Reev speaks, she looks over to him and her staff rolls of her shoulder. She grabs for it, but not quickly enough and it clatters loudly to the ground. The crossbow slung across her back becomes dislodged by her sudden movement and swings across the front of her body. It too evades her grab and falls to the floor. "CRAP! I HATE this thing!" ![]()

![]() I typed up Elariel's response and then remembered that Reev had posted in discussion. Her society modifier is +7. That would make more sense for her than Intimidation. She wasn't trying to intimidate before, it's more that she just doesn't really care that much and is frustrated that they aren't able to do their job - which involves seeking knowledge...and possibly finding magic. Here is what I had typed up to post in gameplay and what she would say if we decide to go that route. She would not so much be trying to convince Nalla to give them what they want - she is simply speaking the truth as she sees it. Nalla wrote: "Unfortunately," says Nalla, "We can't just let you go and trust you won't say anything. Foreigners don't understand the punishment for oathbreaking." "You speak of the River Freedoms. As a player, I am also okay with having Maldlethu and Xun take the lead. In that's case, I would just imagine it as them speaking up before Elariel gathers her thoughts. ![]()

![]() Once Elariel frees herself, she casts prestidigitation on herself about 18 times. Slowly she regains her composure. "I...guess we can stay in this horrible place. Is there really no other place we can go? If only I was more skilled, I could conjure us a shelter. Are you familiar with such spells, Maldlethu? They are truly incredible! I was lucky enough to sleep in one once! As long as we are stuck here, I would like to look over that journal more carefully. What do we make of this "Golden Daughter"? She'd like to do Recall Knowledge on the Golden Daughter. She has +7 in arcana, occultism, and society. Do I pick one, or does the GM advise on which is most relevant? ![]()

![]() Thank you for the clarification on the multiple attack penalty for the escape. I didn't put that together. Listen! Get ahold of yourself. It's just harmless spider silk! Elariel steadies herself and tries to think clearly. Seeing that the rest of the group seems to have the situation under control, she chooses not to use one of her stronger spells, despite an urge to destroy the spiders as powerfully and quickly as possible. She conjures another ball of acid and flings it at the remaining spider. Acid Splash: 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 7 + 1 = 101d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5 She refreshes shield as well. ![]()

She then scans the area, looking for magic. Elariel does not think to check to see if Crunch gives assent to having light cast on their shield, but *I* want to make sure Crunch is okay with it, so I tried to leave it open for them to intervene if you so desire. She murmers under her breath and smiles as steam again rises from the mug of coffee she has been slowly savoring. She takes a swallow and closes her eyes, savoring the warmth and the flavor. In that case, the color is probably changing frequently because she will forget to sustain as she gets distracted and then start it up again once she remembers. But mostly it will probably be her natural color as it's not important enough to her to sustain it more extended periods of time. I am thinking I may use it to puntuate her mood/emotional state. ![]() Another elf watches the small gathering from afar. She has warm, caramel colored skin and black hair with a bright blue streak on one side. She wears knee high brown leather traveling boots and wears a set of light grey robes. She also has a cloak - black on one side, white on the other. Runic symbols are etched along the hem of the cloak with black thread on the white side and white thread on the black side. He attire is spotlessly clean. She remains quiet at first, but perks up at the mention of magic. Another magic user? How did I miss that before? She approaches the group and opens her mouth to speak just as Xun turns to vomit over the rail. Grimacing she stops dead and hovers a few steps away from the group, waiting to see if he's quite finished. By habit, she murmers softly and casts a spell and faint shimmer runs the length of her body, but nothing appears to have changed. I just want to make sure this is allowed by the spell. My intent is that she casts prestidigitation to "clean" herself after the vomiting (though she was already quite clean because she casts it regularly, so nothing appears to change). I'd also like to say the blue streak in her hair is from prestidigitation. This is only just for flavor - I don't plan to use it to impact anything mechanically. Does that work? ![]()

![]() I would like to apply with Elariel. She is an elven wizard. I just typed up her backstory tonight and haven't had a chance to proofread it yet - I'll go over it again tomorrow. I am relatively new to PFS, Pathfinder 2E and PbP. I believe my first game started in May of this year. She has no connection the River Kingdoms - I haven't ventured into the APG yet as I am still learning the basics. I understand that may preclude me from joining the game, but as it's not a requirement, I figured I'd give it a shot! I don't anticipate any issues with following the posting schedule. ![]()

Grateful that Nethys has granted her with divine healing, she inhales deeply and chants rhythmically on the exhale. She's going to cast a two action Heal again, this time on Tawny. She'll follow it up with a renewal of Shield again. Heal: 1d8 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9 Curses! Sorry, Tawny! ![]()
