My friend, it truly touches my heart. A year ago, my mother passed away on August 28, 2024, after four months of a hard and brave battle with the disease. She was only 67 years old, but that is exactly how life is sometimes. I think I understand your emotions now. I wanted to apologize for my sudden disappearance. The sale of my parents' house, where I grew up, caused me to be overwhelmed with emotions. I needed time to sort out things, prepare documents, etc. Emotionally, it was just too much, so I shut myself off from the world for a while. I came here to write about it along with my apologies, and then I saw your message... One day, we will meet those we love who are no longer with us, and we will not be separated anymore. I send you a hug. Take care of yourself.

Hello everyone, folks! It's been a long time, guys, more than two months. I apologize for such a disappearance. I've always said that this can't happen to me. And every time I've said "never" in my life, life itself "taps me on the nose" and shows me that "never say never». Some optional details for those who are interested:
Roughly speaking, there were two emotionally difficult moments in my life that happened at the same time. One is breaking off the engagement and canceling the wedding (on my initiative). The other is the sale of my parents' house, the place where I grew up. The place where I remember my parents alive and young, and whose walls still bore the marks of my childhood vandalism. The second was a long and difficult process. Take the parent library to the warehouse, sort out the mother's things and give something to charity, then find a buyer and prepare a bunch of all sorts of documents, and so on and so on… Well, the first one added fuel to the fire, and so I emotionally burned out and shut down for a couple of months, and I had to put a lot of important areas in my life on pause. Including the PbP. I just didn't have the strength to do anything else, the internal processes consumed all the energy. However, meditation and psychotherapy work wonders, and now I'm back in the ranks. So. If my slot is not occupied yet, I would discuss with you the possibility of my return. There is a serious nuance here. I can play with you for two weeks, and then I'm going away for a month on a retreat, yoga and meditation, and I'll be there completely without communication. After that, I would join the game again (I think I've already left like this a couple of times during this campaign, it just used to be for 2 weeks). And here, of course, the question is whether you need a player who first disappeared for 2.5 months, then appeared for two weeks and disappeared again for a month. The answer "no" would be pretty fair. But if the answer is "yes", then I'm ready to come back. I love this story and I would be sorry not to know how it ends (no matter how many years it takes). I plan to stay in just two campaigns for now, including this one, which I've been playing for several years, and finish all the other PbP games until I'm sure that everything in my life has improved enough to withstand the previous PbP load. Well... Anyway, I'm glad to post here again .)

Tulgram nods, having filmed this confession. For what purposes he needs it, he does not explain. Then he returns to the squad and clarifies what the final plan is. The burly duergar agrees to almost anything, as long as he doesn't have to pose as a solarian player in some strange alien game.
Hey, Dread, I'm glad you're back on the forums! I'll try to jump into the last carriage of the departing train. The character is fully prepared (I noticed that this was not a prerequisite for applying for the game, but it was my wish) - you can view it in the profile of this ally. This is a paladin with a rather gloomy archetype of a tortured crusader. Otherwise, he is a classic dwarven follower of Torag. A sketch of the background:
Tariq Vestgeir is a former wandering paladin of Torag, who is now consumed by guilt over the death of an entire village of local peasants, whom he could not save from the clutches of ghouls. A descendant of the dwarven generals* who participated in the Shining Crusade, Tariq hoped to gain fame as a fighter against the undead worthy of his ancestors, but in the end he let down the people who asked him for protection. Completely disappointed in himself, this young (by dwarven standards) holy warrior decided to devote himself to the peaceful profession of a blacksmith and no longer put other people's lives at risk with his protection... So he led his secluded lifestyle, until recently he received a letter inviting him to the funeral of that strange professor whom he once almost accidentally saved at the very beginning of his travels and who promised to repay him... on occasion**. *By the way, this is part of the lore, and it was the dwarves who later defended one of the Seals that restrained the Whispering Tyrant. For more information, see the Crown of the Kobold King. **Chance Savior campaign trait.
With respect and hope for a soon game,

@GM Jhaeman, I think 2 samples is right! > 1 hit point per level Tulgram scowls at each of your wounds and bandages them, gives injections, treats them with ointments, and so on, endlessly muttering about human resources. Everyone but Theo & Zharis restore 48 HP (Theo & Zharis + 24). This is only for the evening of the previous day, so if someone else is not in full HP, write - we will continue in the morning. UPD And one more serum of healing MK1 : 1d8 ⇒ 6 to bear. Now Theo should be in almost full HP 24 + 9 +6 = 39 (+22 current).

It's from the Medic archetype: Doctor (Ex) - 2nd Level wrote: Whenever you use equipment or one of your abilities to restore Hit Points to a creature, any surplus healing beyond that required to restore the creature to its maximum Hit Points restores that many Stamina Points to the creature. . I think, this ability is monstrously good with the mystic with the healer connection... but in all other cases it's just not bad, imho. I'm spending resources on it, and serums aren't that cheap. I mean, to restore Xylian to full SP, I have to spend 7 MK1 serums on average. And I have only 25 of them.

Guys, I left for a retreat today. I will do a lot of meditation and a little more yoga there. I'll be there with absolutely no connection (we're giving away phones for the duration of the event). So I'm saying goodbye to you until January 13-14 (I'm returning to the world on the evening of January 12, but I'm not sure if I'll start playing games before checking my family and business status, hehe). Have a nice New Year, everyone! PS You can bot my character in any way you like .)

He should know, he already suspects that something bad is going on. Kalanzar sighs, and then tells everything he understood to Basidia as soon as Yrberop disappears from sight.

CHA: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7 Kalanzar clenches his fists. He really doesn't like Yrberop's answers, and even more so he doesn't like leaving Stool here. He tries to listen to the melody, but it doesn't work out no matter how hard he tries. Gracious Goddesses of the Night Sky, help me please in this darkness... The druid offers a prayer to his patronesses. Inspiration reroll!
...For a second, an image of the night sky and silhouettes of beautiful women dancing against the background of this sky appears before his eyes. One of them has bat wings and three tails, the other looks like a dark elf with a sword, the third shines like silver and constantly changes shape, the fourth has butterfly wings... Suddenly Kalanzar begins to hear the words. He listens for a second, and then realizes that time is very short, he will soon begin to forget and get confused in poetry. The drow snatches out his cartographer's paraphernalia, unfolds the sheet, sits down right on the ground and begins to write verses of a strange song with convulsive rapid movements: Hush now, my darlings, the earth hums with grace,
Myconids rejoicing, the algae are bright,
Oh, the joy will rise, as the rivers flow,
The darklake will hum, the underdark will dance,
Sleep now, dear sproutling, in arms of the night,
It's not going to do any good, he says when he's finished writing. The druid says it out loud, with his mouth, and not through telepathic contact. I feel in my heart that some kind of nightmare is coming. Still sitting, Kalanzar looks up at you with anxious eyes. Religion: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23 - any hints about who the song is talking about? The lyrics of the song are available to everyone, you can easily look over Kalanzar's shoulder and read it while he is writing. And then he will give the paper to anyone who wants to.

Ha! A giant. Just a giant! Even tha worthless white-skinned dwarves fought them well... An' I gonna rip out his kneecaps an' juggle them in front o' his eyes, bhahaha!... Tulgram (looking a bit like Popeye the Sailor) kneads his fists, knocking alternately with his knuckles inside his palms like a real boxer, and then suddenly stops. Sorry colleagues, my new partner is releasing too much adrenaline. From time to time, we sort of argue about who's in charge here, but I always win. Otherwise, someone will find themselves in a waste tank, right? The last phrase is clearly not addressed to you. Aye, while we're getting ready, I'll have a little more fun. Tulgram takes out a tiny vial of Mehrren's blood, opens it, sticks his tongue out wide and drops one small drop directly into his mouth. As a drop of blood passes through the duergar's insides, a biological supercomputer in his brain performs an in-depth study of the creature's DNA. Life Science: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (15) + 21 = 36 VS DC 27

Without waiting for words of gratitude, Tulgam leaves the assistants to monitor the condition of the already stable patient and quietly grabbing the flask, heads out of the operating room. The next time you meet him, he already looks a little different. Tulgram looks from under his brows, his eyes are bloodshot and furious, and his hands seem to be swollen - especially his forearms and fists. In principle, it is only by the last detail that you can understand that something has changed. The rest of the aggressive non-verbal behavior is inherent in this duergar for a good fifth of the time that you spend in his company. Oh, if in me youth, when I was a collegiate wrestler, I had such steroids, I wou' have shown them what real pain be on tha mats, bhaha... Well, kids, shall we kick a couple o' asses? Tulgram seems to be more energetic than ever. 1) I'll implant Damoritosh's Arm - I'm a biohacker after all! GM, but before I will conduct a study of this thing for the possibility of controlling the owner of this particular improvement. 2) I vote for Shrine too! |
