![]() Thank you, GMAndrewW! I am grateful that I was chosen.
I will be on a trip from September 14th to 22nd, my ability to write posts will be extremely limited. However, there are no other obstacles to the game in the coming months on my side. PS GMAndrewW, would you mind opening the gameplay thread for a "dot-and-delete" routine? This way it will be somewhat more convenient to track new posts in the discussion. ![]()

![]() Greetings, GMAndrewW! I am extremely interested in this adventure, I love the theme of the Red Mantises and have been waiting for the release of this adventure for a long time. How familiar are you with the 2E ruleset? Very familiar. I have been playing in 2e since the release of the system, I have GMed various modules and PFS scenarios, now I GMing Abomination Vaults and Crown of the Kobold King, plus I have played quite a few PFS scenarios, some modules and some (seven I think...) books from various Adventure Paths. I also played Night of the Gray Death, designed for levels 16-20, that is, I am also familiar with high tier. 1. Where is your character from? Ilizmagorti native. 2. What class and archetype(s) are you intending to take? Human Fighter with Rogue archetype (I would take the assassin archetype, but it is outside the sources you specified). I am inspired by the good old Artemis Entreri, who, according to the description in books and 3e stats, was exactly a fighter with some dip.
"Your parents were both Red Mantis assassins and your family has a long tradition of service in the Red Mantis cult. Your strict, fanatical upbringing and familiarity with murder have bestowed upon you an air of confidence and menace." (с) Cultist Lineage, PF1e trait. So my character is precisely a hereditary follower of Achaekek.
The rebellion of youth was short, but vivid. The city of Ilizmagorti on Mediogalti Island is famous not only for the cultists of the Red Mantis, but also for its pirates. It was with them that my hero went in search of adventures. Returning many years later, matured and with a hard look, he repented to his parents and swore from now on to faithfully serve Achaekek. He rarely talks about what he saw while pirating, but these adventures changed him, made him a man and convinced him that his parents were right to choose to serve such a harsh but just deity. 5. Describe a previous mission you have completed for the Mantis God. This doesn't have to be an assassination, the Red Mantis often do various favours for other individuals or organisations as well as sending their agents off to hunt down secrets, information, treasure etc. It was a message. It was necessary to convince one of the bigwigs of the theatrical world in Kintrago that the actor whom he had thrown out of the new opera was actually the one who should be left in the main role. First, my hero met with this theater boss personally and explained to him that there are very serious forces behind the actor now. The conversation was without threats, threats are not professional. An intelligent person does not need to be threatened, he will understand everything himself. And it's useless to threaten a fool, he won't understand anything anyway. It can't be said that my hero tried to convince this bigwigger, rather he just stated the facts and gave them both a chance to go the easy way... The boss turned out to be a narcissistic fool and did not immediately realize how serious this situation was, so the next morning he woke up feeling strangely sticky and wet sheets... It was the blood that had dripped from the head of his beloved steed, cut off and neatly left on the bed. Needless to say, no one saw who did it, and the boss later made the right decision? 6. What skills and qualities does your character bring to the team and its assassination mission? Close combat, stealth, cold assessment and sober calculation in action planning and risk assessment. ![]()

Venture-captain Kaleb Vesperra (Warpriest (Cult Leader) 10 / Mystery Cultist 10) is the first of my two characters that I got to level 20 in the PFS. As you understand, he is the priest of Kelinahat (and my first character in Pathfinder in principle). And also... In one PFS scenario for levels 12-15, there is a NPC, female dwarf inquisitor of Kelinahat. She's a Pathfinder, and as far as I remember, she's even related to Janira .) ![]()
![]() I thought for a long time between a celestial sorcerer and a cleric (with the same image), so far I took the latter, but fortunately there is still time before level 2, I can change it. I plan to specialize in channel energy and summoning creatures. And I'll also be able to pick locks and traps, just like a rogue. ![]()
![]() Hi, everyone! Thank you so much for inviting me. Before joining, I must clarify a point for you about my plans. About twice a year, I go on a retreats for two or three weeks to meditate and do yoga. The peculiarity of this event is that I'm there without the Internet (btw as well as without TV/radio etc too, like all the participants). The nearest trip will be from the end of July. Effectively, I would consider that from July 25 to August 22, I will not participate in the games. On the one hand, such trips of mine do not lead to my disappearance - there are games on this forum that I have been participating in for several years (and one that I have been running for a year). On the other hand, you invite a player who will take a break for one month in a month. This may not be very convenient .) So let's clarify once again, do you want me at this table now or are we waiting for the next time. PS The next such trip (after this summer) will be on New Year's Eve or even next spring, that is, not soon. ![]()

I counted the chronicles and XP and chose the characters*. Drow is back in business! I am very glad that, judging by the announcement, Shari will have a chance to meet Kebzek because she has been passionately wanting this for a long time... And he won't like it. I may still need time to accurately calculate the credits (and level up Shari), but the RPG chronicles are already filled. Thank you for your patience .) _____

![]() Kludde, I need another day or two to decide on a character for both games. I need to review the levels of my characters (I haven't checked my new credits and experience points in a long time), and at the moment there is a lot of work and care for my loved ones in real life. A day or two in general and I'm in business .) ![]()

![]() It's okay, I'm ready to give up a seat. On the one hand, I was pre-signed up for this game some time ago and was just absent from the forum for several days. On the other hand, it's probably "a sign from above" and it would be better, considering how I've been overloaded with personal tasks lately. So I withdraw and wish everyone a good game! .) ![]()

![]() Sounds great! I'm definitely in business. Whatever class my character takes, by nature it will be a cultist of Nocticula, worshipping her in her future Redeemed form. I think that he/she arrived as a preacher in these lands, but was not understood by the Crusaders. Well... This is not a reason to leave and retreat. ![]()
![]() As a big fan and an experienced SF player, I can tell you one thing - avoid starship combat by all means. This is a long and not very fun mechanic, believe me .) About the captain and so on. In game mechanics, it's just the role of the "bard" on the starship combat. Usually it is not meant that cap literally makes decisions for the whole crew, just inspires the shooter to shoot better, the pilot to maneuver better, and so on. By the way, we can change roles every round of the starship combat, so everyone or no one* can be the captain (*this is not the most important role on the ship) during one fight. ![]()

![]() Hey! Been fantastically distracted these days. If it is still possible to jump on the train, then I can offer Aerenal Elf, Mystic of Undying Court. I really like this idea of the "good undead" in Eberron, and presenting the New Aerenal as "Eox on the contrary" is even more fun. Besides, your party needs a healer, believe me .) If this works, then the character will be ready by Monday. ![]()
![]() Athletes sometimes do really strange things. I usually try not to cut the weight too much before the competition, but I just had to at the last one. Imagine - a hot Arab country, you came to work out in a fitness where there is air conditioning, but still let's say it's not cold there... And then a guy comes in in a clearly warm tracksuit, a jacket over it, warm socks, puts on two hoods and begins to train in this form )) ![]()
![]() Thanks everyone! @Shifty, what you're talking about sounds very impressive to me. I can imagine the intensity of passions at the national championships! Great. @Nomadical, and again, it sounds cool. Swimming is just one of my weaknesses btw, I keep trying to find time to pull it up to the proper level. But it's not coming out yet.) ![]()
![]() BJJ World Championship in Abu Dhabi to be exact. I didn't manage to become a world champion this year, but my student did! So, as a coach, I have already achieved a little. And as an athlete I will try further next years .) I usually prefer not to draw attention to this - everyone here has their own important events in important areas in their lives. But since Kirill brought up this topic about me, I shared it. PS Thailand... GM Nomadical, I swear, I feel Рhuket as my second homeland. I went there for 7 years in a row in winter (escaping from the snows of Russia to the beaches of this wonderful island) and I dream of doing it again after a break of a couple of years.
