![]() For those who might be able to take a mid-summer vacation to Ohio, we are now recruiting volunteer GMs for volunteer GMs for Origins 2023 at Origins Game Fair on June 21-25, 2023. We are pleased to be able to offer rewards for volunteers who commit to running a certain number of games for us during the convention. Rewards we are offering GMs of various tiers:
For those who have not been to Origins in the past, the convention runs from mid-day Wednesday to mid-day Sunday at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. We set our scenario-length slots up as 5 hours of gaming with 1 hour meal breaks to give our GMs plenty of time between sessions to eat and re-energize. More about Origins can be found here: Origins If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out the survey here: Origins Volunteer Application Questions or concerns can be sent me or to OhioOrgPlay@gmail.com ![]()

Kaylee scoops up her dice and follows suit, thinking to herself, "Being evil doesn't preclude using a more gender-neutral term." She takes position behind the two "gnomes" guiding them to walk down the side closest to them. The side at the top of the map. Continuing the beleaguered lackey banter as they go. "Where are the best snacks in Litran, has any of you heard any rumors?" Hoping to get some clues as to what they think good snacks are... Hopefully not children or kittens. Unfortunately, her knowledge of the primal world is a bit lacking so besides a hunch they may be evil fey she can't really figure it out. Or just a creature that speaks sylvan. She begins wondering what she will find when she rounds the back of the tent and begins thinking of what deception she will weave. And, hoping she can keep up with whatever deception her companions have planned. As part of the standard gripping while rounding the tent she attempts to get them to spill the beans on what we are guarding and who from. If she has a good sense that they are relatively in the dark too well that is information as well. Again playing things off as being out of sorts from too much time gambling, and maybe drinking. "Now you all have gotten me remembering how hungry I am," she bemoans. Her hand rests on her hammer, ready to spring to action. ![]()

"Nicely done," Chance says with a smile and a nod for Funmi. "Yes, i think visiting the Farmers Association would be a good next step. Perhaps then we find a safe place to rest before we pursue any other investigations. I as well would appreciate the chance to clean up a bit and perhaps review what morning prayers would be appropriate while we are here." Basically, should I change up my spell list now that I know we will probably be dealing with Sahkils. ![]()

Chance eyes her companions and with a mischievous tone says "I heard a story once, but I think that involved brown pants..." She refrains from telling the story in such esteemed company. She follows Funmi into the Oval Mirror. With hopes that she will not have to dress as a child as has been the case far too many times. Chances mind wanders to the last time she attended such an event and it was not part of a mission or some other charade. She realizes with some dismay that it was in her youth when Lirgen last stood above the waves. Fashion changes quickly. She ponders what a fine line one must walk in a place such as Galt. To be high society and look the part, while not being too burgious. ![]()

Chance finishes her tea gently places her cup on the table and stands. She steps over to Nevarmo and takes his hand in hers. "Pharasma knows you keep the faith good friend. Perhaps it is her hand that has led me here. As they say, All must face her judgement, but I think you have a lot more good to do before you see her." Chance says a small prayer and gives Nevarmo a small blessing of Pharasma in gratitude for his assistance. Turning to Funmi, "Perhaps, if needed, my presence her can be the excuse we need for visiting such an abandoned place." Chance grows angry once again at the thought of all those trapped souls, but the anger has intensified knowing how many servants of her goddesses must have been taken. "Well my friends, I am ready to depart when you are. We have a ball to prepare for I suppose. and may some artifacts to destroy" ![]()

![]() You see dear friend the system by which agents are selected for a mission is very complicated. :cough: In that we randomly snag people who happen to be sitting in a common room. Though my preferred method is to use the Mission Hat. Sometimes your name may be in there more than once but don't worry about that. ![]()

I suppose then now that we know what we need and where we are going we should take our leave of you for the evening. We must make plans for our Journey. Ms. Drannoch, is there anything or anyone we should be aware of between here and Litran? Chance implies that she and her colleagues can discuss plans in more detail away from their host giving her plausible deniability. After all, she is asking them to go get a rare herbal concoction. Their plans to infiltrate the ball are unrelated of course... ![]()

![]() I love to see fellow Buckeyes in the Limelight! You rock Shahreena! I am quite certain the rest of the book is good too as I am seeing many familiar names. Cant wait to begin reading. And yes Ohioans are very good at food. It's like a past-time here, food and music festivals. ![]()

![]() So I was running an adventure set in Razmiran and had two thoughts. First, makes me think of the Soviet Union under Stalin. Second, and perhaps funniest, what if Razmir has been dead for years. And like all the inner circles are perpetuating a ruse. I mean everyone wears masks so on they off chance they need him to appear they just find someone the right size. Then kill them so the secret doesn’t get out. Discusss! ![]()
![]() So me and another player are both playing ysoki. In the scenario where you go to the crow city. We’re down in the warehouse and they kill the lights. Both of start going on and on, in character about not being able to see cause it’s so dark. “Oh no what are we going to do it’s sooo dark I can’t see a thing.” Even after we successfully shoot things we keep going on and on. “I think I hit someone was that you?” Basically hoping the drow thugs were too dumb to know ysoki have darkvision.... |
