After Zaidel makes the wish he hears clicking of a tongue then the god's words come to you telepathically, ::You should really get that ritual done before making more wishes. Oh and the power of the wish comes from pure chaos until the ability is tethered. I was able to do it with Matthew. I will do the ritual on the rest of them as Jellena is with you.::

He relays back to his cleric, ::Yup buddy, quite comfortable here in the Spire, I actually have been seeing Angelica. I like the innocent ones.:;

He shrugs and states a bit disgruntled, "No nothing right now... I am dealing with some business. In another town far away."

He was walking around restlessly but does not look distraught, just in thought.

He shrugs apparently not needing anything. He looks over and states, "Aurora if you don't have any missions I would like your escort."

---
Spade is there to send you off. Aurora stands beside Cayden ready to go. Cayden is holding a simple tote bag over one shoulder. He pulls out his rapier swishes it about and then sheathes it. "Okay, onward."

---
On the path to the Spire he asks, "Tell us about Owl Port and your recent happenings."

He rubs his chin in thought, he slowly responds, "Crystaline Elks? The firmer lands of Owl Port, likely to the North in The Midnight Forest, at least in this region but this is just rumor... go speak with the Hunters Lodge to find out."

He states disinterested, "Ask Spade he handled it."

He looks at you flummoxed, "Obligations? No don't worry about that. If the three of you are moving to Owl Port, I may as well. Most of my clergy are on the road. Move, be free, have a good time!"

He simply states, "We haven't had reason to check on them. We have seen Mia and Angelica several times come in for drinks."

His demeanor hardens more than you have seen before, solemnly he states, "There is little I could do to help. The trials... I would have to sacrifice this mortal coil to help. Don't expect him to come back. He is still alive. Killing Hydras... you should finish that quest when you are able to. That is the first step in returning him. On your trip you will pass alters and temples pay homage to them and offer healing at no cost and it may aid his return. You could go to the temple district and get a head start. One of my servants can tend to Krazok's needs."

He walks over and touches the half-dragon, a hand on his shoulder and states, "Sorry one level drain is nothing. Though a restoration spell is needed to remove it. But for you my good and faithful servant..." He trails off as magic courses through his hand into Krazok.

Krazok drops to the floorboards and begins to giggle. Cayden quickly explains, "He is Cursed with drunkenness, keep him liqoured up with non magical booze and after 24 hours he will have been restored. Also a few bonuses if you keep it up. Otherwise he will stop being drunk each hour."

With mirth in his eyes and words he states, "Zaidel my good lad welcome back. I see one of my allies has been helping you. I thought you were on a mission?" His eyebrow cocks up with interest.

The ladies of the room swoon over to Zaidel, but with a look from Cayden they stop.

With a knowing smile he says slyly, "In the morning it looks like you have your hands full, enjoy! It is an advanced version of it. It really only works differently if you have access to the blue screen system."

Pleasantly he replies as he pulls out a coin purse, "Your welcome, take this cosmic sack to hold your gifts. That performance brought in a lot of business. We will need your special talents to revive our supply of spirits."

By the time Zaidel returns to the temple at least the standing room has dispersed. Cayden is taking a break speaking with a party of women.

He commands, "Get on that stage and play!"

He happily states, "Yeah I got this, go get some experience!"

He states, "We have things handled here. Also the refugees situation likely won't change for at least a few days. We will need to arrange escorts and transportation. Zaidel it is your choice. Aurora and a few others will return to New Reunions."

Cayden laughs and states, "Yes he is the spymaster and scout. He has a few arcane tricks up his sleeve. There is a cooldown but as you can see it is about half a minute."

As the Familia members make there way to the Spire, Zaidel chimes up. "Boss. I've decided that once I get to 7th level, I'm going to take the Leadership feat. I think I should be training the next generation of caydenite clerics, bards, and swashbucklers. There's not enough of them around. And our incredibly helpful adherents could use some more support."

He smiles agreeing, "Yes Zaidel that sounds like an excellent idea!"

Aurora takes to the sky.

"I don't think so, Boss." Zaidel replies to his deity. The satyr audibly gasps as Cayden Cailean pulls out his legendary rapier and buckler, feeling the the divine energies radiate from it.

The other Caydenites pull their weapons getting ready for a fight as they charge after Cayden and Spade. Spade seems to almost teleport 100 feet forward, then runs for a bit before teleporting again. He gets there well before your group.

He changes his thoughts to assist sooner than later, "You know I want to go check out this Spire of yours. Come along Spade we can finish this game another day. Muster the Familia we go to aid Areia Glorius."

Soon enough the bar is emptied and behind Cayden, Spade, and Zaidel is a dozen or so Familia members including Aurora, the Bouncer, and some of the regulars.

Cayden is enjoying stretching his legs and talks about 'This one time...' telling of a previous adventure.

The group gets within a mile of the Spire and see the front doors wide open. Cayden at seeing that asks, "Did you leave it like that?!" Zaidel wrote:
"Cayden. Spade. Can I have some help from Old reunions to help bring these former slaves to their homes?"

Cayden questions and then states, "What did you have in mind? I am one all for freeing slaves. If you bring them here we can work on getting transportation for them back to their homes."

They both look at the cleric with looks of confusion. Cayden realizes what Zaidel meant and states, "Spade has a good understanding of the game and has a few good strategies. Though I do have the edge on him. I believe I have won 53 games to his 6. As Spade has implied, what do you have for us, what do you need, or are you just saying hi? If the latter pull up a chair!"

Fleet feat!

As everyone gets done with the Scorching Sands Event magic washes over the group. Looking behind you see Cayden walking up with a buldging red bag, he also is in a red and white suit with the hat too. He simply says, "Merry Wishes to all, and all a good night!" He rubs his nose and flies straight up 500 feet in seconds. A firework goes off and you see him flying away.

Now you talk about the wishes. Alia goes first with Matthew and Mia joining into the wishing goodness.

As Mia and Angelica give him their loot boxes, and offers them a reward. Mia politely declines but Angelica asks for some coins. He nods to both of them and tells Angelica, "Take one of these bags of coins and splurge on your team. Any other items within are yours. Mia I bestow upon you the title holy slayer, it shall allow you to use your smite evil twice as much."

Now as the sun goes down, he taps his hat looking at Zaidel. He then gets up walks to the door. He stops there looking back at who is following him. Then he continues to the cobblestone road and nonchalantly walks forward.

Soon enough he finds the route to the Bordello and walks in greeting those there.

Jean:
At first he is confused and next he casts a few spells. Then he states, "It is... an undead. Though it seems to have an essence of some kind. You should take it to a god of the dead."

He replies to his cleric favorably, "Shelyn has a temple on the outskirts of the North part of town. That sounds like a lovely idea."

He nonchalantly offers, "I may be in charge but you will have to talk with Spade about what is available. You can find him beyond the door over there, it leads to his office."

He looks over at Zaidel and asks, "All are welcome but who is coming with us to the Calistrian Bordello?"

Cayden pulls a wonderful golden necklace with black opals set in it, offering it to Stratton with a wink. He pulls a black handcheif from his pocket and after covering his other hand a long thin black box is revealed. It opens on its own and Cayden places the necklace within the box. It fits perfectly. Then he offers the box to Stratton.

He simply says, "Joe you are a wonderful servant."

When Stratton brings the random loot box to Cayden he smiles and asks, "Your welcome Stratton, what kind of reward would you like?"

He smiles at the words that come from Zaidel and creates a magical rune in the air before him before sending it to Joe.

Zaidel:
You have gain the healing hex, its bonuses are as if you were a with of your level.

Jean de Montes wrote:
As soon as I am done I take it to Cayden if he is still around and say, "Here is repayment for helping me find the shrine."

Cayden thanks Jean, "Thank you for remembering how would you like your reward?" He asks as he opens the box. Five large bags of coins fall upon the floor around him.

The god embraces his cleric as he comes over. He gladly states, "You all have returned, that is what matters. Zaidel I see some of my powers were used on your little foray. Directed chaos magic helps us go where we are needed, sorry about that. If you want another necklace of resurrection it will cost you 2,500 gp. Most others would pay 5,000 gp. Then those who are not apart of the church it costs them 10,000 gp. Though in the future you should use your status recovery if able when in that kind of pinch. Angelica is going to join our Familia, is there anyone else that wishes to join?"

Stratton leaves the Sands of Time and feels like his steps are a little bit lighter. Though it is just a feeling, nothing mechanical has changed.

One by one, those needing to level up to 5th level enter the sands and exit them. Meanwhile conversations have been popping up.

Once everyone is done Cayden says as he begins descending the stairs, "Come along family, we shouldn't tarry. There is one price to coming to this Dragon Shrine which time passes here differently. A few months may have passed, a few years, we have even heard of decades passing."

Back down to the white granite platform he offers his hand to whoever is closest and once everyone has a hold, you return the way you came. Through bubbles!

You emerge in a dark cold celler. Cayden swears. He then asks, "Matthew would you take point and have a look about before we exit too. Anyone that can go invisible please accompany him."

He points out, "Both, but it merely is an invite, not a command. Shall we head to the Dragon Shrine? Everyone grab a hand, at least those going to the Dragon Shrine."

Once everyone grabs a hand, he teleports the group. You feel like you are in a vortex with bubbles all around. The next moment you are on a white granite platform. Before you can see the path goes to the right, left, and forward. Forward you can see stairs that lead up to another platform. The space is massive. You can see the sand above being held back by glass. You are nearby the largest sand hourglass.

Cayden lets you take in the majesty of the place as you catch your breaths. Then he leads you up the stairs to the other white granite platform which you soon find out leads to the keyhole of the hourglass where the sand flows through. A few attandents stand and sit on the side looking up if you need any help. Cayden waves them off and asks, "Joe you are first step up and show them what to do."

He exclaims with mirth, "Nope, going to the Dragon Shrine and bringing you back shouldn't take more than a half hour. We are still on for tonight! Stratton will you be joining us?! Mia and Angelica you may join us to see where we are going. You never know what flavors or friends will be there! We are going to the Calistrian Bordello, ran by Calistra herself!"

Jean de Montes wrote:
Jean nods to Cayden, "Sure, you can have whatever comes in the next random loot box. Will it magically depart to you or will I see you again soon to deliver it?" Jean asks.

"Excellent, yes when you get it claim the reward but don't open the random loot box. Instead bring it to me when you can. Well no, it would be safer to leave it unclaimed until you were next to me. So do that instead. Once the wish is accomplished I will walk you to the Dragon Shrine. If anyone else wants a way to get to the Dragon Shrine, make the same deal that I get your next random loot box and you can come too!"

---
To answer Mia's question he reassures her, "Only gods can get to this Dragon Shrine so you just need to let the sands of time wash over you there. If the shrine was being controlled by a nation, which most do, they require you to make a pledge of fealty first, they could also charge you fees and taxes. Some kingdoms are just so greedy."

He states after you have said what you are going to wish for, "It sounds like you are ready, now say it holding the wish stone. Mia and Angelica come on over, he is ready."

"I'm thinking if I were to word a wish as to have the senses, defensive abilities, natural armor, spell-like abilities, racial attribute bonuses, special qualities, universal monster abilities, regeneration, and base speed of a Kuwa Oni while retaining my own alignment, memories, and soul, it would provide me with what I'm looking for. What do you think, Cayden?, Zaidel, Jean?" Stratton asks, seeking feedback on the wording.

He agrees, "Oh that sounds pretty good, much more descriptive than what I came up with."

DESCRIPTION

Consisting of a vine with five green berries, a verdant vine is worn tied around the wrist.

Once per day on command, command word 'Leshy', the wearer can pinch a berry off the vine, and throw it up to 30 feet away, like a splash weapon. Viciously thorny vines erupt in a 20-foot radius from the point of impact, even if the berry misses its target. Creatures within the area must succeed at a DC 16 Reflex saving throw or become entangled, as the spell entangle, as the vines coil around the creature’s legs. The vines persist, but at the start of the affected creature’s turn, it gains a new saving throw against the effect. If the affected creature fails the saving throw, it also takes 1d4 points of damage.

A DC 20 Strength check, made as a standard action, allows an affected creature to break free and end the effect. Failing the check causes the vines to constrict, dealing 1d4 points of damage.

A bag of coins appears and makes a loud thud sound next to Stratton with the chinking of coins. Within the bag is a vine wrap of some kind that goes around your wrist and a minor technological item.

The soul crystal appears in your hand and feels warm. It changes its color to your favorite color. You know that there is two options and you can always change them at the beginning of the day. It can have two abilities of two Ioun Stones if you toss it into the air. The other option is to touch it to a willing or unwilling creature. If it is willing you gain a connection to that creature and you both gain some bonuses. If unwilling Will Save DC 18, if it fails you can command it as per command Monster spell.

With the blue screen up, he says to Cayden "While a bit of guidance, especially on the wish, is very much requested, some of these things I believe I will need to do by instinct and let my gut tell me what to do. I will join, by their gracious invitation, the Aeria Gloris." his eye wanders from Cayden to the show on the stage, lingering an appreciative moment or two.

And then, to prove to himself, Cayden, and fates themselves the honesty of his words about chosings, he touches the Soul Shard choice, trying to activate it as a choice, as well as the random loot box. "I think the Daily Quest should perhaps wait until after this old body is transformed by the wish, yeah?"

He grunts in response and waits for direct questions or he is just being lazy.

Stratton of Arcanium wrote:

"I'm looking to be transformed into something with a less frail body, one that recovers quickly from wounds and is quite strong and quick.... Trolls are too ugly, but Onis can look like whatever they want, right? What would be the best way for me to wish to have the qualities of an Oni, maybe one that takes on human appearances like a Kuwa? I'd want to gain as many of their abilities/stats/etc as I can while retaining my own personality and not being corrupted by evil like Onis usually are." he looks at Cayden for advice on the proper wishing format. He chuckles a bit. "Plus, that way, I can make myself look like Adrian Paul most of the time to honor Cheryl."

Looks to me like 3d100 for random loot box, yeah? 3d100

"You could wish for the racial qualities of a Kuwa Oni. You could also wish to be transformed into a Kuwa Oni, retaining your own personality and mind. The second one would likely get you the most but you might have some Oni cravings, which isn't terrible either. Joe or Mia actually has a better grasp on wish format."

He looks at you a bit funny and mouths, *Adrian Paul?*

Stratton of Arcanium wrote:
To Cayden, Stratton replies somewhat hesitatingly "Thank you. Erm, forgive me for not asking you in the first place. it's just I haven't really talked to a god since I was a young man, and certainly none has every spoken a word I could hear with my own ears. It would be a great honor to have you guide me through this process. While your ascension may have been unusual, and luck played a part, there was also skill, bravery, and a willingness to face the unknown, all qualities I admire in a mortal or a god."

He simply says, "Tis true."

Zaidel wrote:
"I don't really know, Stratton. The rest of us choose our classes and wishes in front of a young goddess of the Afterlife. It sounds like you didn't met her at all. Maybe..it just happens." Zaidel said with a perplexed shrug.

He quickly adds to the conversation, "Gods are screw-ups too. Many of us were mortals originally. I believe the goddess of rebirth, Alethia, got taken by a Chosen. Now she is doing parlor tricks as a cleric of her own faith, beside that rogue of a Chosen. I am sure the one that took her place is making messes all over the place. Thus your *Poof* and without an introduction. You may want to ask a god who wished himself to that way accidentally... luck had a lot to do with it. Next you might want to talk with Matthew, he is a twice Chosen and survived to tell the tale. He also has over 30 years of experience being a good Dungeon Master, let alone being a teacher for half of those years. Ah but if you want the best wish crafter in the world, call upon Jellena the mouthpiece and oracle of the Mistress. Her curves will make you dizzy. She was in New Faces just a few days ago at the gods' ball. Well what will it be then? Ask me your questions, wait for Matthew for hopefully just a week, or track down Jellena?"

---
At the mention of a pole, he points over at the stage and says, "Your wish is my command!" Two silver poles emerge from the stage ready for use by the willing ladies.

With a buzzed grin on his face, enjoying the effects of the alcohol, he slowly replies to Jean, "Why yes little dragon I do know where a few of the fabled Dragon Shrines are located. One is even located in New Faces, but without a god it is nearly impossible to reach." He lets that sink in before adding, "Good thing you know one," he then winks and blows a little air kiss in his drunken state.

He eventually picks himself up to a sitting position and asks, "What is it in for me? Maybe your next random loot box? Hmmmm..."

"Yeah sure. The prowess and generosity of Zadidel the Benevolent has been seen by many and now he may have trouble parading around town unless he is properly in disguise. Heck I wanted to kiss him!" He offers as he continues making elven wine bottles with mithril bases and golden labels.

He asks his cleric as the alcohol takes effect quickly, "What else do you want? More elven wine Magus bottles?" He is obviously buzzing again!

Cayden takes one of the shots and downs it, then gets to working making the quality gold pendent first. After each shot he makes the suggested item.

A bit out of it he replies, "Ah... right. So..."

He casually responds to Joe Zaidel, "That is what I was thinking. Unless you wanted to go make new friends? I will check when the next grand ball will be. The last one was a few days ago actually. The Familia of the Mistress was the hot topic of the ball."

He begins to drink and warms up before he makes the first item Joe suggests. He also states, "She liked the jeweled wasp pendant. Something to match it would be interesting."

He offers to Jean and Jeler, "Who would you like to interact with to learn more about them?"

"As I said before, you will need to come up with a gift for my divine friend. You had some promising ideas." The god offers.

Zaidel:
Would you please find the posts about what you suggest and what Cayden makes for you, and repost them.
Also the ladies splurged with your generosity and spent about 700 gp worth of items and clothing.

His attitude continues to be carefree even if the subject becomes serious, "Greetings! Ah yes, your immortal mortal friends, it surely is a puzzle. Though as followers they will only be able to be in their spirit forms until they form a bond with a mortal. Then once per day the holder of the bond can summon them for 10 minutes per level, as if you were a summoner."

"Matthew, and Alia now, are going to make a quick mission for me. Like he said it will take a few days maybe a couple of weeks. With Chaos magic you never know what will happen, remember 200 years is the least amount of time, it could be up to a thousand. You both up for this still? Once you have made your goodbyes, hold hands and one of you grab the black lamp on the bar."
