Just to add to things;
4 hours can be pretty taxing on a lot of GMs, plus if you run in a game store, store close times are an outside factor to take into account.
Players may be able to play 4+ hours, but I as a GM, have only so much extra energy. I start flagging the last hour of 4 hour+ scenarios, and I frankly hate splitting session of Society games. It's not worth it to me.
I mean, hell, if you play in a public space on a weekend, you could get 2 scenarios in for the time an old, longer running one took. If we're talking purely from a "I want as much Society XP as possible", that's doubling your XP in 6ish hours time.
The lower run time doesn't preclude the scenario fitting in a good plot. Longer run time doesn't always mean the scenario story is impactful in some cases.
Also, dropping the stat blocks may not neccessarily be shrinkflation. Have you considered that Society scenarios generally have an allocated number of pages to a scenario. What if you got more plot, encounters or fun skill challenges in exchange for those statblock pages?

A pony can generally be up to 14.3 hands high (or about 150cm, not sure what in inches) at the withers.
And considering the withers is where the human parts start on a centaur, and my own height (about 170cm/5'7"), even the Ponygait centaur can be pretty tall compared to the average human.

Sliska Zafir wrote: No factions is an interesting choice; I wonder why that was made? Maybe to not have to manage a faction rep subsystem. I think it's confusing. I know SF earlier, you "slotted boons" including which faction you represented that game.
But it's also confusing as to "do I just belong to this faction, or can I swap around and represent Wayfinders one game, then Acquisitives another?" Answer is yes, you can move around, but people forget or misunderstand or brainfart on that all the time.
Matt Duval wrote: As far as Achievement Point awards, I miss the expensive vanity purchases from PF1, like being able to buy your own island or ship. It was a lot of fun when you had to travel somewhere by boat to the adventure to say, "Let's take my ship!" I liked the ability to invest my characters further into the world. I'd love to see that kind of thing. I hope that that comes back in some capacity.
Having a farm to retire to (and also make handle animal her dayjob) was so great for my Empyreal Knight Paladin.
Even retirement vanities of like "you retire and start teaching new Pathfinders what you know as a teacher at the Grand Lodge" would be so fun.

Honestly, it's an international organisation, there's HQ, and then there's regions.
Not only that, but they have their own training facility (The Masters of Spell, Sword and Scroll are basically Deans and Subject Head Teachers of a private university essentially).
I think if anything, a clear organisation chart would be nice, especially when it comes to the regions. It'd be nice to know who's operating where (especially for PF Infinite content makers).

I am all for more PF related "comely gentleman in a wet shirt". Last one I saw was Count Arendae of Mendev (after my [Wrath of the Righteous CRPG] Knight Commander "introduced" him to his desired poetic outcome of "love interest bathes under waterfall"; by shoving him in). That is entirely not enough!

Hilary Moon Murphy wrote: But these are options that are already there. Those races were introduced via the race deck, so they exist in Starfinder already. Likewise, some of the most classic Starfinder races like Lashunta and Triaxian and Ysoki existed in Pathfinder first. And there has been a vocal group of Pathfinder players on the forums who keep hoping they'll get Lashunta or Kasathans in Pathfinder 2e.
Since we've had one major time travel event across the systems, it makes even more sense that some of these ancestries will available in the future (or the past!)
Besides, it doesn't break the game to have options that players can use their ACP to build.
Hmm
I gotta agree. I love playing my "Elf with a hair problem" Triaxian Paladin PFS1e. There's a bunch of AP connections to "alien" people, so they're not new. Just unusual.
If people don't enjoy 2e, I'm kind of of the opinion, you can stick those species in home games. Home games, you're only bounded by GM opinion, and honestly, I don't think most home GMs are gonna bat an eye at a grippli when Jububnan (basically 1 legged hopping toads) exist.
But ACP as a across the two systems pool would be nice, cause I'm the opposite direction... *eyes army of Sprite character ideas, and too many fun PFS2e options and many SFS points*

Kishmo wrote: So excited to meet the new candidates at GenCon!!
One of the things I remember from the last go around electing a First Seeker was a sort of 'tension,' between voting for what your character(s) want, and what you as a Player want. Like, while none of my Society heroes particularly agreed with Tara Nova's "let's make those jinsuls rue the day they picked a fight with the Starfinders!" agenda, I thought, as a player, that the a tale of teetering on the brink of revenge could've been a fun Season! There's also a number of Society players who have multiple PCs, who may have different thoughts, and different preferences based on the characters.
Anyways - is it possible for each person to have two (or even three?) votes? And they can decide how to divvy them up themselves? You could spread your votes around based on what you as a player want vs what you as character(s) want, or go all in on one thing you feel strongly about, or assign one vote per PC, or whatever else!
I wouldn't say 1 vote per character, because that wouldn't be fair to the new players or players with fewer characters.
Preferential voting is a good way to solve it. I feel much like "it's what my character would do" situations, you're the one figuratively steering the boat. I voted last time on what I thought would be fun Society plot direction. Didn't get it.
With preferential voting, I can weight my continued fun vs who my 1-4 characters like their ideas the best. As my 1-4s are currently a fey space pirate, a hellish Talent Resources Manager, a delusion mystic and a Skittermander who's backpack is a cooler full of mostly beer, I don't think their opinions are neccessarily the most... well thought out or cooperative.

Diablo 1 was my first ever computer game too, so I do rather fancy the look of it. I'm not a massive ARPG fan, but I'll give it a go before I have an opinion on that part. If it's Very User Friendly like Diablo 1 and 2 was, I may have a new regular game to play.
