And WANT.

I can not wait to get my hands on this AP.

Dark Archive

Grats JP, I'm glad I have been able to play at more than a few tables with you.

So my Goblin Squad markings only are visible on this messageboard? Hopefully that will change.

I really can't dog on Smedley to much, he help make a couple of my most favorite and memorable games. But, I do have to admit my most favorite MMO of all time is Ultima Online, which is in it's 15th year as well speak/type/post.

Dark Archive

You are a wonderful person.

Please cancel 1x Pathfinder Roleplaying Game: Buff Deck, $9.34

I picked it up at my local game store today.

Thanks.

Also, I didn't get my kickstarter email, but it looks like you are going to resend the emails.

Sounds different, but good. I can't wait to try it out.

I'm unsure if this is related to Tuesday's update, but I can't access the Pathfinder Society "GM/Event Coordinator" and "Sessions" tabs on the "My Pathfinder Society" page. When I click those links, it takes me to the correct page with the #tabs appended to the URL, but only the "Player" tab displays.

Using Firefox 16.0.1

URL:

I read something a while ago which stated that Eve will be the up & coming model for MMOs in the near future. I guess the future was nearer than I thought.

Dark Archive

I would like a copy of this too

Dark Archive

ah, that's what I was kind of figuring. thanks though.

Dark Archive

Has the DL link gone wonky or is it me?

Dark Archive

Thanks guys, that really helps - well accept the part where I have to buy the AE PDF now.

Looks like you are doing a great job with you campaign. I'm envious of your elite map skills.

Dark Archive

And that's from the Map Folio? This: Rise of the Runelords Map Folio

Dark Archive

May I ask how you printed out the glassworks? Straight from the PDF?

Dark Archive

I use hero lab as well. Once I switched to it, I never looked back. It's a bit pricey as other have stated, but I do get my money worth out of it - IMHO.

If I was a player at his table and he continued with his/her over zealous cannibalism at every possible opportunity. I would simply RP my way out assisting him.

My character would simple state, "Your behavior goes against my beliefs. I will not help you if this unacceptable behavior continues. I'm neither an Orc or familiar with their traditions, and by the looks of it, would have none of it. Furthermore, by the looks on the faces of our associates, they don't seem to approve of your distastefulness."

Then I would follow through on my promise. Granted my main characters are support classes, so I might have a bit more pull.

I would only do this if it was an extreme case. Following the, "don't be a jerk" rule is what I try to do. I general don't care how people play their characters. However if I don't like something, I do let people know.

Dark Archive

2 people marked this as a favorite.

Half-orcs get bite attacks through feats and traits(Razortusk/Tusked). I also think there is an alternate racial trait called toothy too. If he is willing to bite you, he is probably willing to eat you. Well, that's my opinion anyway. As for it being evil or not, it really depends whose eyes you are looking through. I wouldn't consider it lawful or good, so he couldn't be a paladin.

Thanks

Huh. I use Yahoo! Groups (which, admittedly, I hate with a passion), but I certainly don't have problems getting people to sign up.

I run between 14 and 18 tables each month.

I insist on signups ahead of time and will not seat people who do not sign up unless there is space (and there is usually not space).

I fill every single seat at all those tables within a week of posting the schedule. Most of those tables run concurrently (meaning I have three or four tables going at the same time during the time slot). So, I have between 21 and 28 players (counting GMs), who have all signed up, and happily take their seats when the games start.

Stick with it. Use a sign up ahead of time policy. I'm pretty sure it works.

This works, I see it every month as both my wife and I sign up for spots.

Dark Archive

Perfect, just what I was looking for.

Dark Archive

No wishing the bard dead guys....

I got my eyes on you Drogon

Dark Archive

If you can't get a GM for a second table, perhaps you can split them up into 2 groups a morning group and an afternoon group. Of course running two different scenarios. You would have to let them know in advance as well. You'll probably get a couple to carry over or start in the early game too. Giving you nice full tables.

Anyway, I would definitely get a sign-up list going for the reason Drogon stated.

Dark Archive

I would like to play 12+, but I don't know I would want to play 12+ in PFS. it's suppose to be a short dose of gaming, and with some of my experiences some of the 10+ stuff start to run long.

Dark Archive

I generally take my current characters and a leveled up version of them with me to the con.

Dark Archive

It's basically, whatever the D/Gm allows. When I made my Halfling cavalier for kingmaker I got a hog He would squeal every time I rode him into combat. It probably wasn't the best choice, but it was fun. I do think I ended up switching to a wolf though, just before the campaign imploded.

Dark Archive

At first look it sounds like it would work and even be legal for use in PFS. However the more I think about, the less I would want to do it. Why?

Well, for one, you are going to paint a target on your character if a GM doesn't like it. Your character is being all flashy and stuff - kill him first.

Secondly, you are going to lose your attack and damage bonus to weapon attacks when you pull out your shield. Doesn't sound bad until all the evildoers realize that you have a nerfed AoO. You are going to get flanked a lot.

Another thing is that putting you shield away will probably provoke an AoO. You will give melee evildoers another chance to hit you, and probably without the shield bonus, this alone makes the shield worse than nothing in your off hand.

Finally, you are going to hear this a lot, "You can perform one or more free actions while taking another action normally. However, there are reasonable limits on what you can really do for free, as decided by the GM." They could manage your free actions. So if you need to say something, drop something, or fall prone, they can simple say that's way too many free actions, can't do it. It seems like a lot of frustration for what it is.

Anyway, on the other hand some GMs might not care. Best thing you can do is talk to the person that's going to run a majority of your games and see if s/he okay with it.

Dark Archive

I much rather have pie.

I have always enjoyed faction missions, and it's probably one of the reasons I switched to PFS from another system. I also like helping others complete their faction missions with my bard, Ales. Furthermore, the idea of a "Faction War" is something I would enjoy. However, While I like the idea of competing faction missions, it would be tough to pull off. We have ten factions, and only six, at best, would be represented at the table. It's possible, however unlikely, to never see your competing faction.

Perhaps a fix to that is to add a single all encompassing third faction mission that will make all seated factions compete against each other. For example, the first pathfinder to find the jeweled watchamacallit in the scary place gets the faction mission completed. Or perhaps the first pathfinder to gain the influence of corrupttown's mayor completes the mission. I really haven't given this much thought, and I'm sure there are kinks that would need to be straightened out.

As for rewards for faction missions, I would like to see boons and a an option to receive faction enhanced wayfinder. Also, Have faction war rewards scale based on the total amount of fame you have earned.

There's a lot to cram in to a single session, and I don't want to stray to far away from the scenarios main goals. So far it's a formula that works well and doesn't need to much tweaking. You also have to be careful, because like most things, some people take things far to seriously and feelings get hurt when it comes to competing. So please be mindful when creating these challenges.

Dark Archive

Ah, thanks for making a list. Now I must go through and look at my characters to see if I'm close on some of these guides.

Dark Archive

Yep, boons are the only current options for additional races.

Dark Archive

Simply, The Bard - They can do anything.
