As the ferocious (and not in a good way!) beast bellows with a clangorous barking, Aka gulps silently as she feels her grip loosen from her Sickle.

Looking across her nose at Marrowdown, Aka makes her way, at her own pace up the plank to thrust her arm out magnanimously for the fierce Goblin. "Wouldna' dream of gettin' between you & what ever you were gonna bite next."

As it happens...

After the fact, I realized a further contributing factor was that last week was finals week for my accelerated college class. I have three five-week classes, of which one just finished, so I believe that in the interests of not having another episode like this past week, I will likely be taking another hiatus when my next final comes up in about a month.

Guys, I apologize but I feel I should probably take a break from PbP for a bit. I just wound up leaving a Campaign I had a great deal of time & enjoyment invested in because what I felt was a simple miscommunication snowballed rapidly & to be painfully honest, I can't tell if I was over-reacting or took too long to make the break.
I'm going to take about a week off, GM Armadillephant, please go ahead & 'bot' me if needful.

Sniffing slightly in disdain, Aka draws her sickle & joins Zurk & Marrowdown in removing another dog from the world.

Aka steps forward with her Sickle. She lets Um continue with his gnawing while she proceeds to somewhat efficiently slice through one of the other ankles.

Eyes widening at the sight of one of the 'two hated beasts' before her, Aka decides to follow the lead of the more martially inclined Goblins about her.

Drawing her sickle, Aka looks at the others. "Are we going to just sand here or are we going to be Licktoads?"

I'm fine with that GM Armadillephant. I'm having my own life situation at the moment, so I'm not able to devote as much time to this as I might like either...

At this point, I am beginning to seriously consider that our best bet may be to grab our companions & run.

Hey GM Armedillephant; I think I need you to make a rules call. The Compel effect from Primordial Magic does not say that it is a mind-affecting effect, it also does not say that it isn't. Would it work on these things or is that something Aka is going to have to find out for herself?

Everyone: I'm going on a trip for the next week or so. I'm going to bring my laptop, but I'll be visiting family and spending time traveling, so I can't promise that I'll be able to post every day. If I can't get on to move things forward, I advise that you take some time being goblins and "getting to know" one another. No eating is about the only rule.

The only thing he explicitly said not to do is eat each other. We have an entire Goblin Village to run wild in.

While impressed with Ziki's zeal & curious as to how long she might survive if she were to catch fire; Aka was not that curious and so she pulled Ziki well away from the blaze before once more continuing her dance, all the while making faces at Zurk when he couldn't see her.

Not sure whether you guys noticed from the bolding in the last post or not (I meant to say something and forgot), but yes, Squealy Nord is a significant NPC with whom you can build a relationship.

That is both disturbing & cool at the same time...

Aka primps & flounces at the adulation of the tribe, sinuously making her way over to Gniffles to lay a commiserating arm across his shoulders before hoisting him up on her shoulders, with some effort, and parading him around the fire, culminating in a failed attempt to climb up Zurk's back.

I'm pretty sure I also succeeded, though only just. For that matter Zurk, I think you also succeeded; just more because you have an obscene modifier for that particular check than any other reason.

Considering you effectively made Aka wet herself with that roll, I wouldn't worry too much...

Aka pauses in her dancing long enough to enjoy the speachifying, the shootbangburns & the more speachifying. As the barrel of fermented apples is rolled out, she swaggers forward. Thrusting her hand in she grabs the squishiest, most over-ripe apple she can find, pulls it out & takes a big bite.
