GM Armadillephant |

1d2 ⇒ 2
Um Horsecutta, you take 2 Strength damage.
Gniffles feels his hex move out towards the spider... and then he feels nothing. Not just no resistance to his magic--he senses that this spider is totally unaffected by the supernatural mind-bending of the Evil Eye.
Still waiting on Aka, Marrowdown, Ziki, and Zoog before I give a full recap of the round.

Zoog the Alchemist |

WillSave: 1d20 ⇒ 16
Zoog yells, "Burn Lotslegs with fire!!!" wile doing so he draws the ingredients for, and throws a bomb.
BombThrow: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10 To touch AC of closest spider, also it's an 11 if within 30 feet.
Damage: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7 +5 splash. REF DC16 for half.

Aka, the many-lived |

Of course, I'm away from my keyboard for 12 hours & it explodes...
Will: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9, well, that can certainly explain Aka's inactivity.
Long-Legs-Eats-Goblin-Babies-Many!
& Mate!!
Aka remains consumed by fear.
You can't make full-round actions while shaken, can you?

Horsecutta |

Well you know that old ditty about what happens when you assume, color me embarrassed. Also making my save now. Teach me to not pay full attention to a post and double check everything. Just saw you put 1d6+5 as bomb damage so assumed splash should be based off same.
ref: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21

GM Armadillephant |

Actually, I assumed that the closest spider was the one hanging over Zoog (and the party)'s head. Zoog, you can pick which one you want it to be.
Aka, you can indeed make full-round actions while shaken, it just applies some roll penalties. Zurk linked it, as did I in the post where I mentioned it. Still waiting on you and Ziki (I'll give her 24 hours from this post).

Zoog the Alchemist |

GM, I specifically said "the closest spider", so I will say the one hanging above everybody, which probably means no one takes splash damage (whick I just realized could save Um's life (sorry about that if I killed you...)! Also, no worries, when you mentioned the splash stuff it got me to go double check my stuff. And I just realized that you were right all along! It's even in my stats as Splash Damage 6! The additional +1 is from Throw Anything. My turn to be embarrased.

GM Armadillephant |

Yeah, no worries, Zoog. As I said in discussion, I'm lenient and in favor of you guys. "Closest spider" to me meant the one above you, which also avoided you dealing splash damage to party members. Thus, all is (relatively) well as the goblins face the spiders...

Aka, the many-lived |

"Ooolally Ooolally" Aka begins a rather peculiar incantation none of you have ever seen before.
Full round action: Barrier, from the Primordial Magic Major Ascendancy. To be placed between the two spiders.

GM Armadillephant |

Alright, time's up for Ziki. I'll give her until the end of this combat to post, otherwise, she's being dropped.
Round 1 Recap
With speed and precision, Um Horsecutta launched an arrow into the leg of the larger of the two spiders descending on the group. The first spider came down to attack the goblin archer, viciously biting him and inflicting poisonous wrath upon his body. Meanwhile, its mate remained on a strand of webbing, just above the group, and attempted to encase the bugbear in web, to no avail. Zurk, in turn, waved his axe and screamed at the giant arachnid, clearly making it back off. Gniffles attempted to hex one of the spiders, and inadvertently realized that the thing was unaffected by the mental attack. Spug cast a spell on Zurk to prepare the bugbear to smite the spiders with the Hungry Lady's wrath. The fearsome Marrowdown charged the ground spider despite his fear and took a chunk out of its midsection. Zoog threw a bomb into the air, and while it didn't connect directly with the spider, it explodes 1d8 ⇒ 7 beside it. Spider Reflex: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5 The vermin is clearly caught with fire and bits of glass, though the goblins remain safe. The magic-using Aka raises some sort of barrier between the spiders, a force effect that sits in midair. And Ziki, clearly shaken by the spiders' appearance, cowers in the center of the group.
Round 2 Begins!
Still Horsecutta, then spiders, then everyone else.

Horsecutta |

"Ahhhhh no no no kill dem not me. I not tasty." Um rolls back avoiding the gnashing mandibles. Venom drips around him as he narrowly avoids being a spider snack. He lets off two shots directly into the bugs open jaws.
5'step back flurry of arrows at the bug on the ground.
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1
I am going to go sit in a corner and cry for a bit.

GM Armadillephant |

Horsecutta steps back and shoots the bow rapidly. One arrow plunks into the ground, but the other slices into the spider's mandible, causing it to shriek in pain. (Spiders shriek, right? They do in this.)
In return the spider shoots a web at him, attempting to entangle the poor little gobo.
Web Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25 Mother----
The silken strands latch onto Um, wrapping around him. He is now entangled in the spider's webbing. (You can break free with either an Escape Artist or Strength check at DC 12)
The spider in the air drops hideously toward Zoog, biting at him from its webbing.
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 4
...And I need Fortitude saves from Um Horsecutta and Zoog. The rest of the party's up. And I'm really sorry that I'm getting just ridiculous rolls here. I sincerely hope you guys overcome what isn't meant to be a great threat.

Spug Deatheater |

Spug moves off to the side, away from the spiders and channels the Hungry Lady's wrath at them.
Spug moves about 25' away from the spiders and to a spot where he can ensure that he can exclude 3 party members. He then channels negative energy at the spiders. Will Save DC 14.
Negative Energy Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 1
Spug grumbles, knowing that he should have tortured Squeally Nord to gain his patron's favor.

Gniffles |

Gniffles squeels in frustration. "Spiderses is too stupid to cloud!" he realizes. Which is unfortunate as nearly all the power he has been granted thus far clouds the mind. Dropping his staff into the mud, he removes the sling that's been covering his gibblets.
Hanging free in the humid swamp breeze beneath the tattered robes, he loads a small gallstone bullet into the thong and looses it at the hanging spider.
ranged sling attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
damage: 1d3 ⇒ 1

Zoog the Alchemist |

Fort: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Zoog yelps in pain when the spider bites him, and feels his strength begin to wane. He takes a five-foot step back away from the spider, and drinks his mutagen (Strength). I never stated, but my standard extracts that I usually prepare are bomber's eye and cure light with a STR mutagen
New stats for next ten minutes: Str 16, Int 16, AC 21, touch 18, FF 16

Aka, the many-lived |

Sighing, Aka resigns herself to the possibility of failure. "Yooo Hoo!..." She cries at the less damaged spider, once more gyrating & waving her hands wildly as she calls out gobledy-g&%%.)
Full Round Action: Primordial Magic; Compel, if applicable the Will Save DC is 14. If it goes through, the Compulsion will last two rounds in which time she will make the creature attack it's companion.
Wow, the profanity filter considers (g o o k) something to be filtered? Learn something new every day...

Gniffles |

Racial slur that doesn't see much use anymore I believe.

GM Armadillephant |

Zoog's STR Damage: 1d2 ⇒ 2
Um Horsecutta's STR Damage: 1d2 ⇒ 1
Maybe if one of you weren't so down on the Koreans, you'd all be rolling better, heheh.
Round 2 Recap
Stepping back and releasing two arrows, Horsecutta managed to hit the large spider on the ground a second time. In return, the larger spider trapped the archer in webbing; meanwhile, its mate swung down and bit into Zoog the alchemist. After moving into position, Spug channeled the wrath of Venkelvore and damaged the spiders. Marrowdown took another chunk of flesh out of the larger spider's side, and it clearly is on its last legs (Get it?). The bugbear Zurk valiantly swung his axe at the hanging spider, but missed; Gniffles, however, launched a beautiful shot into its body. Feeling poison coursing through his veins, Zoog drank a mutagen to counter its effects. And Aka launched a mental assault...
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16
...That failed to take control of the hanging spider.
Round 3 Begins!
Horsecutta, Spiders, Every Other Gobo.

Gniffles |

Gniffles reaches for another gallstone, loading it into the sling. He licks it for good luck this time, then whips it at the hanging pinata. He doubts there will be candy inside, but there's likely to be something delicious in there!
ranged attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
damage: 1d3 ⇒ 2
I know it's out of initiative, but I'm just about to the point where I need to cut it for the night.

GM Armadillephant |

Seeing its prey escaping from the strands, the spider Does What?: 1d3 ⇒ 3 moves forward and attempts to grab at Um. This does leave an opening for attacks; Um Horsecutta and Marrowdown both get attacks of opportunity against the hideous creature.
Grapple Attempt: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Even if the strikes of the goblins haven't brought it down, the spider is unable to grab the goblin archer.
Meanwhile, the spider's mate chitters and slings a web at the goblin who hurt it badly--Zoog.
Web: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
The goblin alchemist is entangled by the sticky webbing!
Everyone but Gniffles still needs to go; I need AoO's from Um and Marrowdown; and I need Um and Zoog to make Fortitude saves.

Aka, the many-lived |

Aka chants one more time, this time hurtling a bolt of queer, eldritch energy at the spider still up in the trees.
Primordial Blast attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11, vs. Touch AC. That might hit...
Force damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3

Zoog the Alchemist |

Zoog struggles to get free of his bonds, growling and cursing at the Lotslegs. "Stupid Lotslegs! Zoog kill you!"
Fort: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
EscapeArtist: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
He feels the poison still in his veins, and is unable to shrug off the webbing that binds him.

Zurk Gutripper |

Zurk growls low at the spider that the others can't reach, knowing this is the moment to show why the Hungry Lady chose him to further her goals and promote fear. Seeing the overhead swing doesn't work, he tries a more focused forward arc.
"You gonna be spider skewers soon!"
Spider Slice N' Dice: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
Dmg: 1d12 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
This is really not proving good for Zurk

Horsecutta |

Charged touch attack spells and spell likes count as armed till they are discharged if I remember correctly.
Attack: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (5) - 1 = 4Traumatized by the whole event Um attempts to kick the spider, as his misses he is sprayed in gore from the chunk Marrowdown chewed out of the bug.
