Free RPG Day 2020 Is Almost Here!

I know it's a rough time for FLGSs everywhere. Looks like my local stuff is canceled, so no curbside for me.

Paizo doesn't tell stores whether to host games or not, but the local Venture Officers might not believe it is safe for society members to play in person yet where you are and thus have declined to organise in person events and passed on that recommendation in the spirit of keeping our community safe.

Not this year for me, I would have to hop on a plane to do so thanks to the virus :(.

I know some stores are running virtually and to support the store instead of coming in you pay a seat fee. I'm glad free RPG day is giving them more options with how in-person play varies by country and state.

The product boxes do cost the stores about $100 each. Every store I've been to does it a little differently. Some limit the number of items per customer while others let you take one of each. I've seen small seat fees for in store events but never a large purchase requirement.

The big store in my area didn't order any this year because they can't hold in store events this size. I get to drive from Anoka to Waconia to get my Skittermanders. I mean I COULD wait and get the pdf here, but I hate waiting.

BTW, if your local area does let you run in store, the Near Space pawn set has the Skittermanders you're looking for.

Yeah, seems strange Paizo went with business as usual with the PDF releases and it's restrictions. Under all the COVID-19 lockdowns and such across the globe.

I wound up running into some issues that need developer/editorial team resolution, so my aims of "next week" - based on my timelines - have moved to "before public release", as the devs need to also keep scenarios/bounties moving through their processes and need to take a few days to sleep/breathe/eat post Gen Con rush. We will post here as soon as the files are uploaded to the product page.
